Kingdom of Dradel

It took them a few days of traveling to get to the planned destination. After much exhaustion and several stops along the way they eventually made it. They had finally entered the domain of the kingdom of Dradel. It was not as large as Cadirade or Ethiadan, but it was still an ally of Cadirade's kingdom. It was also the place that Celeste was once the princess of before she had passed away and become a spirit attached to Bredret.

The place had several towns and a couple of cities, but everything was in a much smaller amount in comparison. At a first thought one could naturally wonder; how did Dradel come to be a solo Kingdom? That thought was natural for some who came to visit the kingdom of Dradel, but then when they took a step back to learn about Dradel it was natural that they would be in wonder.

Dradel was known as the kingdom of magic! They had one of the best magic teaching schools throughout all of Validore. Though Dradel was not naturally one to jump head first into battle against others without a proper reason to get involved. It was still one of the strongest when it came to teaching magic to magicians. Many would travel across the kingdoms to try and get a chance to learn from the magic school that was in the center of the kingdom of Dradel.

Due to how powerful the magicians were that lived in Dradel it was natural for their environment to bewitch the hearts of those who entered the kingdom. All across it's towns it's magicians were spread out and using their abilities to heighten the kingdom to prosper with beauty. The king and queen who sat in the palace naturally were not after power as long as their kingdom lived well they had no desire to fight a war. When their own daughter, Celeste, was alive they had originally planned an arranged marriage for her, but not for the sake of power. They had simply wanted to entrust the kingdom to a young man they had deemed worthy of the throne after them.

The group continued to ride in their cart until they reached the closest town to them. As they entered the town they could see everyone waving and smiling at them on the street with welcoming looks on their faces. The environment was naturally friendly to people who entered. It was almost foreign to everyone who had arrived from Cadirade and was use to seeing people struggling to live due to the back to back warring that had been going on for generations.

"This is almost nerve wrecking." Daryl smile wryly as he watched all the friendly faces as they passed by.

"You're the one who thought Dradel would be useful and that's why we ended up here." Leo smirked with a slight laugh in his voice.

"That's because Dradel is useful in ways even if they wont go to war there are still people among Dradel who could be of help in other ways."

Leo scoffed and turned his head to the wolf who was checking out the surroundings again. It was always a wonder how the wolf could have so much interest in everything they came to visit.

He's suppose to be a full grown beast, but you'd think he's a new born pup! Leo thought as he watched quietly from his seat.

Daryl glanced back at Leo and the wolf and sighed heavily.

"Why does he have such an interested in towns anyways? Shouldn't he be more into forests and mountains?" Daryl asked

"You got me! I have no idea either, but he's different from other wolves. I know that much to be true." Leo responded without so much as a look in Daryl's direction.

"Alright, well regardless of that and getting back on topic... I will drop you guys off at the inn and head out to meet my contact."

"I'd rather go with you. I'm getting tired of sitting around inns on this journey and it has to do with my kingdom. As the crown prince who's family is currently struggling right now I can not sit back at inns the whole time." Leo glared at Daryl for trying to suggest leaving him behind at the inn.

"Very well..." Daryl smiled wryly. He felt like he could have guessed the prince would respond like that. It was not that he felt the prince would want to stay at the inn, but he just had a limit how much time he felt like he could handle being near the prince.

Vorbuk listened to their conversation and could feel the tension in the air. It made him want to jump off the cart and go for a walk alone, but he held himself back. He had no interest in letting the prince do something reckless on his own. The prince had a deal with him, after all, and he had no intention on breaking it.

The others on the cart were simply ignoring the whole conversation between Daryl and Leo, but could still hear everything said. It was obvious to everyone that Daryl and Leo had a weird attitude towards each other that could make everyone feel awkward, though no one felt the need to add to the tension in the air by commenting on it. They had no idea why Daryl disliked the prince, but felt the need to be loyal to the point of helping in him the war regardless of the bad blood between the two.

"Well if you two are done with your little spat I would much enjoy a nap!' Bredret was the first to break the tension in the air. As a dragon he was naturally one to love sleep. Every chance he could get a nap in peacefully was a chance he would not pass up.

At the dragons request the cart parked at the inn so the group could split up. Daryl, Leo, and the wolf headed off to find the contact Daryl was looking for in the town while the others made their way for the inn. Little did they know that things were not going to be that simple for them all upon splitting up. Things were about to take a turn for both sides of the group.
