"What the hell are we going to do about Chynir?!" Shides blurted out at all the other gods before him.
"What do you expect us to do, Shides? If we attack him in the middle of a city it will be worse then if we just left him be."
"We can not just leave him alone like this! We're all gods here so I know all of you can sense what he is doing to this realm! If we leave him alone much longer it could spell the worse disaster this realm has ever seen!" Shides was burning inside at the fact that nobody was doing anything against the god Chynir yet.
"Of course we can not let him be like this, but we can not attack in a populated zone. None of us gods have that kind of ability to hold back our own powers in battle." Goddess Ylene stepped forward and spoke to him. There was a look of pity in her eyes for the fate of the mortals that would fall to the god, Chynir, and pity for those that have already fallen.
"Have any of you even realized what that god has created?!" Shides did not even make an attempt to hold back his rage at everyone.
"You mean the fallen angel, Curtis, right? What do the mortals call those again?" Hetar responded with a question because there was so much going on that he felt he could not be sure which issue Shides was trying to imply about.
"A lich?"
"I think it's a lich."
"That's right! They call it a lich, but it's actually just a fallen." Hetar nodded as he thought about it more.
"I don't care what you all call that thing! It's a reaper of death in my opinion!" Shides hissed at the thought of Chynir letting the prince Curtis become such a thing. To him a being that could eat souls of the living was a twisted creation in the realm that should not exist.
"Things will work out in the end. It just takes time." Fulo spoke up this time to express his opinion on Chynir.
"Things will not work out in the end if nobody does anything!" Shides felt extremely annoyed.
"Don't be a fool!"
"We must wait for the right moment!"
"Yea, we cant press further right yet!"
Everyone kept pushing for shides to calm down. They had all formed this meeting to discuss things about Chynir, but nobody had expected one of their own to jump at the thought of going after Chynir right away. If they were not careful and acted rashly they could easily destroy everything they wanted to protect in the realm. The look of exhaustion, worry, and impatience was easily visible on Shides face though.
Fulo slowly walked over to stand next to the god Iemis. Iemis was the oldest of all the gods and had not spoken a word the entire meeting. He would rarely speak to any of the other gods, but would always observe everyone closely. Even if the god, Iemis, was not looking at you or speaking a word everyone could tell that he was still cautiously always observing. Among all the gods nobody knew if anyone even knew the history behind Iemis, but they knew not to ever go against him if he spoke. It was like Iemis was the god among gods.
"Iemis, what do you think?" Shides threw the worry about Chynir at the eldest god among them all.
"Shides are you crazy? Why would you involve him in this dispute! Not one of us is stupid enough to drag him into such an issue like this." Hetar bellowed at the stupidity of Shides for speaking to Iemis.
"One can not ask for help, nor regret asking for help. Iemis does not respond to that which he does not feel needs a response. If Iemis can not help... Iemis simply wont respond." Orus was the one who spoke up that time.
Everyone turned to look at Orus with confused looks. Nobody could ever understand a word when that god spoke up. That was why Orus had come to be known as the god of riddles. Every time he spoke to someone it usually was him simply trying to confuse them to see their response to his words so nobody ever took him seriously when it mattered most.
"No, I seriously want to know his opinion on this! You all think I am crazy for wanting to take some form of action so I want to know what that old fool thinks!" Shides shouted.
"If the so called old fool kills you then don't come crying to me!" Hetar scoffed.
"Iemis! Do you think we should act against Chynir?" Shides shouted his question again and pointed at Iemis to emphasize he was serous about his question.
"Invalid." Iemis shook his head and tugged on his brown colored coat lightly as he sat up straighter in his chair. His grey hair was shaggy and covered one of his eyes as he looked to the side. Iemis's eyes were so white that the only color to them was the dark pupil at the center that showed the direction he would gaze in. The second his eyes would land on a god it would cause even the other gods to shiver and look away to avert their gaze in hope that he would not glance at them.
"What do you mean invalid? Do you think we should do something or not?" Shides hissed his question again.
"Only a true god can kill a true god. We do not need to worry." Iemis stated his reply bluntly with a plain tone almost as though he was void of emotion.
"Man, even when you speak it's scarily empty!" someone shouted among them, but nobody caught who it was.
"Whatever, I still think something should be done before things escalate worse than they already are right now." Shides looked at everyone else.
"If you're really that worried about it than do what you must, but if you step out of line do not blame us. We may be gods, but even we have our limits and rules!" someone yelled at Shides.
"Iemis, what do-" Shides was going to speak to Iemis again, but when he turned around he saw that the god was already gone. He had completely vanished from the room and nobody among them had seen where the man went. Not one god or goddess among the meeting at witnessed the god leave. Everyone was looking around at each other for a moment as if they were trying to verify the fact that they were all clueless as to where the god had went. They were in the middle of a meeting of the gods to decide how to go about dealing with the issue of Chynir, but Iemis had simply up and disappeared.
