"I'd like to make a deal with your guild." Vorbuk suddenly spoke his intention for coming to see guild master Seon.
"What kind of deal?" Seon felt skeptical of the intentions he had for their meeting when he heard those sudden words. It was like a dark shadow had cast over his face as he contemplated how to deal with Vorbuk if his time was being wasted.
"I came here with intentions to gain your guild's aid in the future," Vorbuk sipped on the glass of wine for a moment. "I wish for you to help me as I unite this continent."
Guild Master Seon almost spat out his wine as he listened to Vorbuk's words. It felt as if a crazy man had walked into his guild and started spouting off nonsense. The continent had twelve kings and nobody had ever taken the continent over as an Emperor. For someone to have such ideas they would need to be willing to fight a long and dangerous path. In front of Seon the man sat with unwavering eyes as he spouted off words of uniting the continent.
If it was determination to become a king and take over a single kingdom he would not be surprised. Many had come to him over the years with weak ideas of becoming a king only to wander off and get themselves killed. There was never someone crazy enough to consider ruling over every one of them.
In order to become an Emperor Vorbuk would have to rule from a single kingdom while leaving his own chosen kings to control their territories under his direct ruling.
This crazy bastard wishes to make every one of the kings kneel to him? Guild Master Seon thought this as a smirk slipped onto his face.
How interesting... Seon found himself entertained.
"This kind of talk.. A man like you could be executed if anyone were to hear this." Seon tested Vorbuk with his words. He was not the type to report even an attempt at the royal families life unless he was paid enough in return for the information. Therefore he would never reveal such words being spoken by the man across from him.
"That is true.. but you don't strike me as the type, given your position, to report me." Vorbuk could feel it himself. Everything about Seon could tell him that he was not interested in telling anyone about what he was asking for.
"That may be so.. but even if you tell me such a thing," Seon's long ears twitched as he glanced away from Vorbuk to the door. "I would gain nothing except the risk of being caught by others before you even gain the first throne."
"Yet here you are requesting my assistance in which you hope to take control of all twelve on this continent." Seon stood up and paced himself over to the guild window. His blue eyes gazing out at the commoners on the street. He could see small children playing together happily. "... Such a greedy man."
"It might be a gamble.. but isn't the payoff at the end worth it? Not only what I would be able to reward you but the continent itself would be able to see a generation which they would no longer be at war." Vorbuk tried his best to convince Seon to side with him. If he could gain the aid of a guild he new it would help him drastically in the future once he took Theapan.
It was not that Vorbuk wanted to become an Emperor and rule over t he continent. When things were completed he felt he could hand it all over the prince. Everything they were doing was in order to help the prince and his kingdom so it felt only right that at the end it would all become Prince Leo's. For the time being he felt he had to take things one step at a time with Leo because the prince was still so intent of dreaming about his freedom to see the world. However Vorbuk knew every step they took would lead to another.
Their best choice was to take over Theapan in order to help Cadirade. But what would happen after that? The kingdoms that were allied to Theapan would become enemies to Theapan as well. It would result in a chain reaction that would require Vorbuk to strike back against those kingdoms as well. If he resulted in success at defending and took over those enemies as well another reaction would erupt. The once friendly kingdoms that he would aid would become frightened. That fear would be enough to cause any number of them to attack out of fear of being taken over.
"No.. If the war in this world is to end they all have to submit to one ruler. Once that god is out of the way and they are all united under one.. Everything can finally reach an end to it all." Vorbuk could see that the guild master was lost within his own world as he tried to convince him.
"It does seem like an interesting dream. Not many have the will to even think that far ahead. Most just get lost in the chaos of this world and end up dying on the battle field or spend their lives too afraid to do anything at all. However, no matter how pleasing the idea sounds to the ears you are simply asking for a large gamble to be taken on you here." Seon found the idea to be a nice fantasy to consider. It was simply that he could not take such a large risk when he knew nothing about Vorbuk. He was not afraid of angering the royal families because his position was nearly equal to the royal family itself. It was that the scale of angering them over something Vorbuk may not achieve at all felt like a waste of his effort. The thought of all the effort he would need to put in only to watch the man fail was enough to make him already feel tired.
"You do not need to give me an answer now.. I will take the first throne without your help." Vorbuk smiled and stood up.
"You're going to take a throne... you make it sound so easy." Seon sighed at how easy Vorbuk was making it sound.
"Let's make a bet." Vorbuk knew it would not be easy but he felt with the aid of those around him he could manage it somehow. It was just that he wanted this guild master to become his own inside man. To have a guild master working for him meant he would benefit in many ways whether it was information or manpower. "If I get Theapan.. You will take over Theapan's Guild."
"Y-You want me to relocate to Theapan?!" Seon flinched at the idea of him moving to Theapan. Vorbuk wanted this demi rabbit to live among the kingdom of werewolves to work for him?! Yes, there would be benefits to such a deal because if Vorbuk did succeed in the future he would gain a lot from working with him. It was just... he really disliked werewolves!
"See you again soon, Guild Master Seon." Vorbuk turned and left the room quickly before the guild master could have enough time to register in what had happened. He had successfully made it through their conversation and he could only give the guild master time to consider. If he stayed any longer and Seon refused him it would be harder to convince him.
