King of Theapan (Part 2)

"We need someone who can help us with long distance." Prince Leo muttered under his breath to himself. Thinking over everyone around the temple. Trying to find a solution to the situation they were in.

"Someone from the temple?" Daryl asked.

"Do you have an idea?" Prince Leo returned the question right back to Daryl.

"Well," Daryl tried to help think of a solution. "what about Uriel?"

"The pope's aid?" Prince Leo recalled Uriel who was Johann Lovette's closest aid among the temple. If anyone knew a lot about the temple it would definitely be him.

"He might be able to work for a distraction with his ability." Daryl said seriously as he considered Uriel's skills in his mind. Though he wasn't certain it seemed plausible for him.

"That might work.." Prince Leo agreed with the idea of it. The real question would be whether or not Uriel would help them. "Uriel!"

Prince Leo called out for the man as they headed in his direction. Uriel was always overworked so when someone wanted to find him, all they had to do was look for what task he would be doing at that time. Since the current battle going on against the temple that meant he was always at the wall. Unless the pope sent him to take care of another task.

"Yes?" Uriel heard his name called and turned in their direction. His outfit giving away that he was a mage instantly. Though for him the clothes he wore outlined his features perfectly. The man was like an adorable puppy. Yet held the talent inside that was more befitting of a fierce beast.

"We need your talent for a moment." Prince Leo smiled brightly at Uriel as he placed a hand on the man's shoulder. From his words it was hard to understand where the question was. It sounded more like Prince Leo was stating bluntly that he planned to use Uriel.

Why are you acting like this? Uriel thought as he looked at the prince with a blank expression.

"What do you mean?" Uriel asked.

"Your element.." Prince Leo turned to point outside the temple. "I need you to help me make a distraction for the wolf to get outside with Daryl."

"Huh?" Uriel was confused but he wasn't the only one.

"You're not coming with us?" The wolf and Daryl asked at the same time.

The prince glanced at the faces of confusion in front of him. Honestly he would prefer to go with the wolf outside the temple. He hated the thought of sending him out there alone. The only person he could send with him would be Daryl. No matter how he thought of it the tiger was still a child in the end. He could not leave the safety of Vorbuk to a child alone.

"Someone will have to keep a look out at the temple while Vorbuk goes out there to go after the king. The person who will stay behind and keep watch from the wall will be me. I can also help with the distraction." Prince Leo could feel that his element was slowly growing stronger. Not needing anyone to tell it to him the feeling he got was enough to clarify that for him.

"... Alright." Uriel was the first one to speak as he agreed to help them. It was not because he wanted to. If they were able to take care of Theapan's king it meant helping his holiness, Johannn Lovette. I will help them because I will be helping his holiness. That was the thought running through Uriel's mind at the time.

Vorbuk listened to them for a while as they began to talk about the plan. His thoughts were straying as he saw the battlefield outside the temple. In the distance he would be facing King Luke soon. While he fought in the future the one helping him on that battlefield would temporarily be Daryl.

It had been a while since he first met Daryl. The wolf had not thought about that day for a long time. Communication was not something the two of them did a lot of between each other. Daryl was like a mother figure among the group. He would feed them, worry about them all, and take lead when nobody else would step forward. The more he thought of it the more he realized he really didn't talk to Daryl much.

He could talk to the prince or the dragon whenever he wanted. When it came to the others his communication was limited to whenever he took the form of a human. They could not communicate with a wolf. Vorbuk felt a bit awkward at the thought of being left alone with him. At least Chase would be coming along with them.

"... Wait?! If you don't come doesn't that mean I have to use my human form while I am out there?" The wolf asked the prince quickly as he thought of it.

"That's right." Prince Leo affirmed that thought.

"... I understand. Though it will be risky." Vorbuk knew if he took human form he would be limited in his actions. He could not over use his shadow skills because the human form would already be draining his mana away on its own.

The reason they made this choice was something they both understood without needing to explain it.

Vorbuk would need to use his human form while fighting the Theapan King as much as possible. This was because Vorbuk had to make himself known. He could shift between the two but his human form was very important. In the future his face would need to be known to others. As a rising king among the continent and the one who would be sitting on Theapan's thrown in the future he needed others to recognize him.

The idea was to make sure everyone could recognize the face of the one who dethroned the king. They intended to make others recognize him for his ability to defeat the king. To bring the king back as a captive to the palace directly before finally dealing with him. It was important that others were able to see him for his accomplishment because it would help solidify his position. The wolf could not hide his face from the world if he wanted a position in power. He had to make sure he grasped that position firmly so that others would not easily try to shake that very position.

The thing was when it came to Vorbuk he did not just simply need to solidify his position as king. Vorbuk intended to take it further and use his position to attack other kingdoms in the future. Theapan Kingdom was only the first step in his future plans. With ambition bigger then becoming a simple king he glanced at the others around him.

To protect what was important to him from the ice queen or the evil gods themselves he would press forward. He would make himself known for much more then being a simple king in the future. His dream was to make a place where those important to him could live without worry and be safe. To achieve that he had to deal with many things that stood in his way.
