A choice for the future

36 years. 36 years had passed since the universal reset that James caused with The Book.

William, after recovering from the usage of celestial burst, caught up with Cynthinia and proposed to her a few months later. After the wedding, the other wielders of celestial weapons got curious of the power hidden within their weapons so William quickly set to work teaching them and soon - after 2-3 years - all wielders had access to the power. Some left to continue their lives where they left off while others stayed and helped at the sanctuary. Jack regained most of his memories while some remained locked away without anything being able to trigger a neural link. As for the gods, it seemed the omni-god's original body was restored along with the realm of the gods meaning everything was back to normal.

Save a few differences here and there.

Abigail had moved on and after 21 years she married, moved in with, and had a child with a man named Alan Dun. He had long ginger hair, a neat beard, and a worn face from the sailing he had done in his younger years. The child they had looked a lot like him with ginger hair but took after her mother with bright blue eyes. The child's name was Amy.

15 years of gruelling parenting later, Amy was sat at the dinner table along with Alan and Abigail as the silence continued. The third set of tests had arrived confirming the existence of Amy's ability; just like the other two tests that came before them. The only problem arrived in what the ability was. There was no signs of a physical change due to her ability and no incantation recited seemed to cause any change. It had stumped doctors from all over the country.

"Mum? What does this mean then? Do I have an ability like you or is it a mutation of some sort that causes false results?" asked Amy. Her voice was light but still applied force to certain words to get her point through.

"I-I don't know. All three tissue tests say that you have an ability ... but all the physical examinations say otherwise!" replied Abigail. She planted her face firmly in her hands with groups of strands falling between her fingers and let out a frustrated sigh.

"Sweetie, we don't we give THEM a call? They're the ones who are probably best suited to deal with these types of ... uncertainties" suggested Alan cautiously. Abigail twisted her head sharply in her hands to face Alan and gave him an enraged and obviously offended look. Alan avoided eye contact.

"I am not going to go calling for help from that stuck up, self-proclaimed mother of the year, piece of-" Abigail's rant was cut off but a stern cough from Amy. "FINE!" called Abigail tossing her hands in the air and storming out of the room.

There was a lot of mumbled curses from the next room as Abigail grabbed the phone and dialled a number. The mumbles continued through the phone ringing but suddenly cut off as a woman answered on the other end.

"Hey, how's it going!" exclaimed Abigail in way that her hatred had never existed. The conversation kicked off and went on for a while as both women caught up with each other until Abigail finally asked a question:

"Do you think I could ask you for a favour?"

"What kind of favour?" asked the woman on the other end.

"Concerning my daughter..."

Once all lights were green for Amy, she began packing for a new school. One that would hopefully help her understand the truth behind her ability.

Meanwhile, on a shelf in her room, a lone blue feather lay still. It hadn't moved since the day it was placed. Yet now it was gone. No one had saw it leave. But one had seen it arrive. It had been propelled out of the small sphere of bright-pitch-black and slowly swayed side to side as it fell. A person caught it from the air and looked at the sphere. It's affect on the universe seemed to be very dangerous but ... it wouldn't stop them from finishing the work they had spent so much time tried to perfect. Who would care if time and space itself were to crumble. If this worked then time and space would be problems put behind in the past.
