Shoes to fill

Planet Nebulous. A peaceful planet that was once the location of the greatest loss of life during the Asurian war. So many people lost their life that there's still a high chance you'll find the skeletal remains thousands of years later. But for it to be so peaceful now, it took a very not-so-peaceful group to call themselves 'Dark Nebula' and dominate their solar system and hundreds around them. Their arm grew so powerful and large that they turned planets and stars into battleships just because they could. They are the most powerful army in the know universe.

They have 5 main leaders who tower above the rest in terms of both strength and intellect. Nobody has ever seen their faces (let alone ANY part of their bodies) since they wear such concealing clothes. Pitch black robes that are sparsely dotted with small white circles, heeled shoes that make them always the tallest in the room, leather gloves, as well as black masks that cover their whole head as if they were helmets. If you looked out in a crowd you'd pick them out instantly with the one white, circular eye hole, one white, star-shaped eye hole, and a large white crescent resembling a psychotic smile.

Of course though, these five couldn't command a multi-solar system army by themselves. So the chain of command went down to 25 generals, to 637 senior commanders, all the way to 7000 commanders. After that it was millions of cleaners, soldiers, and sergeants but they don't matter for now. What matters is the son of one of those 637 senior commanders. Bodean's son Aniello. Aniello and Amy ... so far apart in terms of origin, family, and ideals ... yet they share at least one commonality. Neither knows the true capabilities of their abilities. Aniello was born on the same day as Amy but was just two seconds away from being born at exactly the same time. Goes to show how closely linked they really are.

He was a short boy. Not much in terms of muscle mass or brain power. But where he lacked in smarts and power he rose above all in his obedience. You could tell him to jump from a cliff and he'd do it - if you were a higher rank than him of course. Being brought up in an army environment meant that following orders and ranking was like breathing for him. This also meant that making friends was hard as they were normally sent away because of his high ranking father.

Speaking of which, Bodean was a troubled man. His wife had died bringing Aniello into the universe but he didn't hate him for it. Instead he saw his mother in him. She was an older woman when she fell pregnant so it was understood by all that death was inevitable but she didn't want to abort. But as the days went on, he became more and more deteriorated as he spent random nights talking with a man. Aniello had never met them but when asked his father would say it was an informant. They were supplying information about the next target for 'Dark Nebula' saying it would only be a few more days until they'd get the strike zone.

"Aniello, the two people we are about to meet are VERY high ranking! If you set a good example and impresses them now, you may find inheriting my position easier and maybe achieving higher positions as well. The two people in question are 'Madame Achille of the Five Star Points' and 'General Ytrevous'. So stand up straight, look forward, and don't speak unless spoken to!" ordered Bodean. He and Aniello were travelling up in an elevator to the command bridge of the battle ship. Their attire consisted on black, strapped boots, leather gloves, navy-blue trousers, tight navy-blue waistcoats over white shirts, and light-blue ribboned, peaked caps. (The ribbon showed status).

The elevator stopped and the doors opened. The command bridge's layout was almost perfectly symmetrical with control panels radiating out of a central walkway leading up to a circular command platform. On the opposite side to the elevator was a large window that allowed them to see the hundreds of ships orbiting a planet but thousands more were behind the curvature. The rest of the interior was mostly bare metal and wires as decor was a waste of resources.

Standing on the command platform was one tall, robed person who Aniello instantly realised that it was Achille. She was the second strongest star point after Omeganu who was several leagues more powerful than the other four star points combined. They had never used their ability for others to see but the smouldering remains of a solar system reminded everyone that they were a power to be reckoned with.

Aniello and Bodean walked up to Achille and the general - they had a green ribbon on their cap - and saluted powerfully. The general saluted back with equal power but Achille didn't even budge; saluting these people was far beneath her status. Aniello could feel he eyes behind the mask looking him up and down as if searching for something.

"Senior commander Bodean. Is this your son that you believe is 'destined' to take your place in our army?" questioned Achille. Her voice wasn't muffled by her mask but instead echoed and deepened that, coupled with her superiority, made a jaw around people.

"Yes, ma'am. I'm sure he is more than capable to take my place in our glorious army." replied Bodean. He sounded so sure of himself and his son but inside he was shaking wildly. Achille exhaled through her nose in amusement and stepped forward to be mere centimetres away from him. Aniello didn't know whether to more out of the way or stay put.

"Come with me, boy." Achille commanded Aniello as she stepped around him and began walking to the elevator. With a last glance at his father, Aniello turned and walked behind Achille into the elevator.

She pressed her hand onto the wall beside her once the doors closed and a blue light illuminated the outline of it. The light turned green and the elevator began to move down.

Down, down, down.

It went lower than the floors displayed in the elevator before stopping at level 'SC-05'.
