Connection

Aniello found himself standing in a familiar room. A room he hated to find familiar.

Achille's room.

Strangely though, there was nobody around. If he had been asked to come here for some reason, where was Achille. There was only voices saying things like 'Sir, it would be dangerous to use him like that!' and 'With an ability this powerful you'll understand never to tell me what I can and can't do!'. Aniello tried to focus on what was most likely a conversation but he could make out most of what was being said and the words he did pick up on were all nonsense.

Aniello decided he should leave and tried to turn around but couldn't move. His body and gaze were fixed in place and no matter how hard he tried he just couldn't make his body move. In his struggle to move his body, Aniello had failed to notice the long arms winding up his arms and legs than grabbed onto him. They slowly began dragging him down into the floor which rippled like water as he sunk. He still couldn't move which was nothing compared to the inability to scream.

Once his head came through to the other side, he looked around. He was now in the town he had visited on Hagtury but not on the rooftop like before. No, now he was one of the people pulling the remaining girls towards the wall. The one he was grabbing was the girl he saved... the girl he had tried to save. But this time there was no lone boy on the roof to help and girl was thrown to the wall. Aniello lifted a gun up and pointed it at the girl.

They were alone now. Still at the wall with a gun but there was no other girls or soldiers with them. The girl began to change form in front of Aniello turning into his father who looked at him with a face of anger and disappointment. Then his father changed form into Achille who just stood shaking her head. Achille changed into the girl who changed into Aniello's father who continued the cycle. The three of them each took shape one after the other looking down on Aniello as his arms fell to his sides and the gun fell to the ground.

Now the cycle began to change as Demitri's face flashed into existence between a change in form. As the cycle continued in it's eternal loop Demitri turned up more and more for longer periods of time with each appearance. Each time he appeared his arm rose slightly until Demitri was permanently in front of Aniello imitating a gun with his fingers pointed at him. Now the girl, Achille, and Aniello's father's head began replacing Demitri's in the same cycle as before. All of them starting to smile.

The town suddenly switched into a forest and the cycle slowed down stopping on Demitri. His chaotic smile burning a hole into Aniello's mind as Demitri turned his hand to an upwards facing palm. His face slowly began to fade into a softer smile belonging to Amy.

Aniello placed his hand onto her's as she reached down and grabbed his other hand. The two of them slowly began rising off the floor and spinning as a white light started at their hands. The light travelled along their arms and spread across their torsos but they didn't care. It enveloped their legs and reached their necks where it slowed down before quickly consuming their heads. The light flashed brightly and started dimming down. A single humanoid form was left floating in place of Aniello and Amy and opened it's eyes.

Aniello woke up in bed in a small room. Amy was just stepping back letting go of his hands and looking shocked.

"You saw it too?" asked Aniello.

"I'm sorry. You looked like you were having a nightmare and wanted to comfort you but I- I... should leave." said Amy as she turned and quickly walked out of the room. Aniello looked down at his hands still lingering in the same position but turned over and attempted to get back to sleep.

Joseph sat frozen on a small stool in the corner of the room. His eyes darted from Aniello to the door as he tried to comprehend what had just happened. Amy had just entered the room and grabbed Aniello's hands causing a dim glow to start at their hands before she decided to leave.

Something was strange about these two kids. Project Vazio would have to wait.
