Chapter 7

It would be luck If your wish comes true. But fate decided to play a little with me.

Robert informed that we would be going to Morgan's site once we got into the car. But then, some how we ended up here, in front of my house.

FLASHBACK:

We got in the car and started towards the next site.

"Mr. Toblin, what so you think of the case?"

Robert asked from nowhere.

"It's quite confusing... Seriously we don't have any other clue other that the mark and the tie. How are we going to find the culprit..." I sighed.

"Don't worry Mr.Toblin, we will find soon, With your help."

" Let's see ! ."

"OK, say about the game from your point of view."

"Ah...its just a simple game. According to me, we have to finish the tasks that are given in the card. The card contains all the rules and regulations that the participant has to follow during the game. It also contains the starting location, tasks location, and the participant's number. We can take rest after we finish a task. But night stay should be in the said location. But as you know, I had extra two rules laid down.... And-"

A call interrupted me. But it was for Robert. He spoke. The man on the other line sounded furious. They exchanged conversations in a well versed manner. When Robert finished speaking, he turned to me.

"We couldn't go to the site at present, as there are few works to be done."

"Oh, OK."

"So, could you get your game card for us? I would like to take a look at it."

"Sure, I'll lead."

END OF FLASHBACK

I got inside my house. The site in front of me left me speechless. As Robert came behind me, he slammed on me as I stopped on the threshold.

"What happen...."

I started, but failed to end.

We were utterly confused. I slowly made my way to the hall. The curtains were on the floor, my couch torn, glass jars broken... And hell lot of other things.

I then went to my dinning, to see the table broken, and chairs thrown aside.

By seeing this I ran to my room. when I opened, feathers flown. I stepped inside my room to see that the floor was covered by feathers from the mattress. Mirror broken, draws dislocated, cot half broken, photo frames dismantled.

"What the....."

I cursed.

Then it struck me. The Card.

I turned to go downstairs but instead bumped on a figure.

Mr. Robert stood dumfounded.

"What is this Mr. Toblin?"

He asked.

'I don't know Mr. Robert, some burgles should have entered my home..."

"No, it doesn't look like one. Check your locker."

I went to my wardrobe and entered the combination to my locker to see that all were untouched.

"Mr. Robert, everything seems untouched."

"Yes, my guess was right. It was the culprit."

"How do you say?"

"Now you search for your game card."

I went to the main drawer and opened to find nothing! WHATTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!

I searched the drawers below and above it. The card was nowhere to be found.

"The card is missing....."I replied with utter shock.
