Shi entered the living room of her house only to find her dear husband huddled in the corner of the living room surrounded by his top bodyguards as they stared at a packet lying on the table.


Yang: [After noticing his wife] Shi come near me, some idiot actually delivered a bomb. It is dangerous.

Shi: [With a smirk on her face] What danger?


Yang and the rest of the people surrounding him watch in shock as their mistress walks towards the bomb and easily diffuses it using a knife she just picked up from the counter. The bodyguards were ready to cough blood when their lady boss causally said,

Shi: It was one of the easiest bomb I have seen till date. Any normal person would be able to diffuse it. 

Bodyguards: [In their hearts] No mistress no one would be able to do it, you are not normally at all.

The CEO's Deadly Love

Later in the evening, Yang returned home late at night with anger still visible in his eyes as he thought about how his wife was slandered.


Walking inside, he found that the house was completely silent and there were fewer amount of servants present, looking at his watch he was astonished to see it strike at 11.


Just as he was about to walk up the stairs to his room, his butler Yan stopped him as he greeted him,


"Welcome back Master, may I have a moment of your time?"


He asked to which Yang just nodded his head as he wondered what happened this time for someone one to have a moment of his time, a moment which he badly wanted to spend with his beloved.


As butler Yan saw that he had his boss's attention he began to tell him about what happened in the morning which made him worried.


"Master today after you left for the office, miss Shi also got up and left somewhere without telling where even when I asked her, I am by any means not complaining about this but the problem is that she refuses to take guards with her and that is what I feel is inappropriate, I know that she brings you joy master but then you should not encourage this type of behaviour as she needs to know how her actions can affect you when and if your relationship becomes public, yesterday some of the maids were even complaining that the miss does no work at all and just stays at home and then goes out any time she wants and about how the master was providing for her. Master, I know it that you are fond of the lady but I just want you to be sure that you are not being deceived by her."


Yang at that moment felt as if someone was drilling inside his head, as rage exploded from somewhere inside him.


And no, he wasn't angry with Shi that she had gone somewhere without his permission or knowledge.


As he had long ago acknowledged the fact that Shi was his wife and partner, not his prisoner and she had the right to go anywhere she wishes as long as she does not put herself in danger and returns back to his arms at the end and all stuff other than that was up to Shi whether she wanted to share or not, for he will always respect her choices.


What he was angry at was that his closest aides were starting to question his choices and that too in one day.


And sometimes he does take their opinion into consideration as he knows that both his butler who had looked after him since he was a toddler and his assistant whom he had known since he stepped inside the business world meant no harm to him,


But this time his decision of choosing Shi was final and he would be dammed if he let anyone interfere in it.


Plus he also found their worries stupid, for how could Shi, the princess of the Li clan be with him for his money or reputation when she was far more superior in both of them than him, she was adored by the current Li patriarch and also was the sole successor to the entire Zhang family and also the fact that he was the one who was chasing after her which suddenly reminded him of how she was yet to accept his confession.


Also, during the little time he spent with her, she never gave him a reason to doubt her even for a second, her each and every action had earned his respect, be it her deciding to where draw the line in their relationship or the way she did not mindlessly poke her nose into other people's business.


The more Yang kept on watching her, the more he started to respect her as a person who was clear about what she wanted to achieve and accomplish in her life.


That is why right now what Yang felt was both sincere love and unquestioned respect for Shi because that is what she truly deserved.
