Drinking (9)

At that time she had her answer, and it was an absolute yes,

But now after meeting Yang and spending some time with him did she got to know how wrong she was,

As such a relationship could effortlessly turn toxic and harm both her and her partner,

'Brother is always right, isn't he.'

She thought to herself as she recalled how her brother responded to her when she told him that her answer was yes.

'Shi, what if you are never able to bring yourself to love your partner? Wouldn't that turn into a nightmare?

Living and sharing a home and a bed with someone you could never love?

For argument's sake, let's say that you fall in love, but your partner doesn't, then what? Will you be able to bear it?

And what if your partner finds someone he loves truly and madly. would you be able to let go of him?'

Shi remembers how she had coldly told her brother that he had way too many scenarios and that she will marry only the person she deeply trusts,

So there might be a big chance that her partner will not do anything to break her trust and harm her, both emotionally and mentally.

To which her older brother had only laughed lightly at before he told her,

'Shi, firstly the only person whom you can trust in this world not to harm you is you only.'

But now sitting in front of the person she loves, Shi wishes that he too loved her as much as she loved him.

That she too had a place in his heart,

If she had never met Yang, she might as well as had kept faith in her earlier belief,

That absolute trust was more important than even the tiniest possibility of falling in love.

But after meeting Yang did she knew how wrong she was,

That even the tiniest possibility of falling in love far outweighed trust.

Shi kept on thinking to herself as she failed to notice Yang staring at her,

'She is thinking about something else isn't she,'

Yang thought to herself as he noticed that Shi had kept on pouring herself one glass after another as she daydreamed.

Yang took a deep breath as he called her name a few times, and it was only after the fifth time did Shi respond to him,

"Huh.. Yang? you were saying something?"

She asked with her eyes glazed,

"Umm...Well...I was saying that.....that why don't we talk a little? It's getting quite boring, right?

The two of us just sitting here and drinking...minding our own business, doesn't it look like we are at some sort of club?''

Yang told Shi,

"Hahaha.."

Shi's pearl-like laughter was once again heard in the closed room as she replied back to him,

"Well, I guess that you are right, but I have never seen a club as posh as this one.''

She joked freely with Yang,

"So well, what do you want to talk about?"

Yang as always the nice gentleman (only to Shi though) asked,
