A Cowardly Man

General POV

Naruto appeared before Tsunade, who used her chakra to protect the hospital, but the sudden appearance of a barrier helped her enough to be able to fight.

Naruto stood there alone with his Sage Mode activated. Thanks to it, he could feel the emotions of every single being. The pain, sadness, and loneliness. All of them made him angry.

The death of his friends, comrades, and everyone else he knew made Naruto gnash his teeth in frustration. If only he could be here earlier, then this wouldn't have happened.

But all of this was done by this man in front of him. Yet even when the blonde boy was focused on the enemy in front, part of his attention was on something, or rather someone else.

It was small, barely noticeable chakra fluctuation. Said person didn't want to be felt, but with his Sage Mode, nobody in Konoha could escape his sight.

This presence was in the center of the destruction and that chakra signature made Naruto agitated.

If he didn't have the enemy present right in front of his eyes, he would burst towards it and strangle him, but unfortunately, his concerns were the puppets in front of him.

"Naruto Uzumaki. The Kyuubi Jinchūriki. Your village is gone and you are too late. Surrender yourselves and let me capture you," spoke the Deva Path in a monotone tone.

"He isn't going anywhere. I am the Hokage and Naruto is one of my shinobi. You will get him over my dead body," shouted Tsunade in response.

As the Hokage, Tsunade would protect those under her, even if it meant her death. Ironic if you look back, but this wouldn't be her last day because Naruto Uzumaki was here.

"She is right. I ain't going nowhere. You made a big mistake attacking the village where all my friends are."

The Asura Path attacked first, but Naruto destroyed it effortlessly with his Frog Kata, punishing it straight back.

"You think you are a God with those eyes? I will show you how a Dojutsu isn't everything."

Naruto smirked as he cracked his neck.

"I will show you true power."

Naruto slammed his hands on the ground to make 3 giant toads appear. The animal path did the same, and the fight started.

Tsunade was about to help, but a hand pressed her down, stopping her advance. As she looked up, her brown eyes met a familiar masked man standing right at her.

"No need to jump into a fight now. He can handle this himself. Though, it has been quite some time, hasn't it, Tsunade-sama?" the familiar voice spoke to her in an amusing tone.

Seeing the man, or rather hearing the voice, made Tsunade's blood boil. How dare he show his face here? And at such time when the village was attacked by the Akatsuki.

"You!"

What did Sasaki want? Was he part of the attack?

Naruto wasn't oblivious to what was happening behind him. Unfortunately, he had to focus on Pain and his paths.

Ishizu wasn't a mind reader, but the look Tsunade was giving him made it obvious what she thought.

"Oh, I am not here to interfere with this fight since I am not a shinobi of this village anymore, but I still have a residence here which I don't want to be destroyed. How do you think some parts of the village survived? I came here for two things. First, to inform you that you will be having guests straight from Kiri," Ishizu smiled behind this mask before showing a second finger.

He leaned down and whispered into Tsunade's ear

"And the second… remember the promise I made to you when I left? I fulfilled it."

Tsunade froze before Ishizu made a tiger seal, and Jiraiya appeared before her eyes.

Through Pain's eyes, Nagato could see his former Sensei appearing.

"He must be the one to send the pandas. I can't take this lightly. Konan, call Hidan and Kakuzu here."

"Where am I?" questioned a confused Jiraiya.

"This is my time to leave. Welcome back to the land of the living, Jiraiya. Hope you can make a difference."

With these words, Ishizu left the confused Sannin.

With the Uchiha

"That's the fifth time, Danzo," announced Sasuke as he was watching another Danzo appearing outside as his Susanoo pierced the last one.

"It is only a matter of time when all your Sharingan's are useless and then it is death, do you? Actual death. The one you deserve, Danzo."

Danzo cursed as he watched another eye on his eyes closed. He didn't understand why their vision didn't decline. He learned enough about the Sharingan and the information Tobi provided him about the Mangekyō Sharingan.

The longer one used it, the more one's vision declined until they went blind, but for some reason, the Uchiha brothers could still see perfectly, and this cost him his ROOT members. The only ones that were alive were his most trusted bodyguards, but even they were coming to their ends.

A cry was heard, and Fu Yamanaka died at the hands of Itachi.

"Danzo-sama, we have to leave. We cannot win against them," spoke Torune in a tier voice. The Aburame was one of his best members.

"I will act as bait so you can escape."

Danzo knew he was right. He underestimated the Uchiha brothers, and he had to pay for it. A smile appeared on Torune's face as Danzo nodded.

"It was an honor to serve you, Danzo-sama," said Torune as a smile formed on his face and he turned towards the Uchiha's. He knew this was it, but before he would go to the afterlife, he would fulfill his mission.

And Danzo ran.

"Oh, no you don't!" screamed Sasuke as he prepared another Susanoo arrow and shoot it at Danzo.

It hit, but another Izanagi saved his life.

Sasuke ran forward, but Torune stood before him, his body completely purple. All of his insects covered his body. Only a single touch was enough to spread them onto his opponents.

"Amaterasu," spoke Itachi as he engulfed the Aburame in black flames.

Torune screamed, but then black markings appeared on him.

"Get away from him, Sasuke!" shouted Itachi, realizing what form of fuinjutsu this was.

Torune smiled before closing his eyes and embracing death with open arms. He fulfilled his mission. Danzo-sama was safe, and that was all that mattered.

The massive explosion generated by the death of Torune collapsed the hideout and everything was falling down. Itachi coughed as he cleared the smoke. His Susanoo protecting him, but he had to find Sasuke and get the hell out of here before the rubble would bury them.

"Sasuke, where are you?!" shouted Itachi.

To his right, some stones moved and with his Sharingan, Itachi could see a bit of the purple Susanoo rib cage from Sasuke. Itachi quickly made his way there and used his own Susanoo to get the stones out of the way.

He sighed in relief to see his younger brother alive, although in terrible shape. The Susanoo literally saved his brother's life or he would have ended up dead.

"Where is Danzo?" growled Sasuke as he stood up.

Even now, his brother wanted nothing else than to kill the man that was responsible for their clan's death.

"Gone. The Aburame sacrificed his life so he could escape," answered Itachi in a calm voice.

Sasuke clenched his fists in rage. He wanted to scream and run after him, but Itachi's hand stopped him.

"He is gone. Danzo realized he couldn't win, so he ran like a coward. It won't help thinking about it. There will be another time. Let us leave this place and see what is going on outside."

Seeing the collapsing hideout, Sasuke reluctantly agreed with Itachi to move out.

He wouldn't let the man get away with this. Danzo would pay for his crimes with death and it would be him and his brother that would do it.

Nobody else besides the Uchiha had the right to claim Danzo's head.
