Day 34

Abraham stopped by the next day and continued to be fidgety. Kyle glanced at his friend and I before he smirked. "So, is there anything you two want to tell me?"

"What?" I asked Kyle with a frown.

Kyle chuckled darkly as he said, "Come on, who fornicated who."

"I did," Abraham blurted out. "Was I that obvious?"

"Yeah man, you've been acting weird. So, who was it?"

Abraham glanced at me again before turning away. "It was just...vivid dreams."

Standing up I said, "I'm going to go, this is gross."

Kyle swung his legs on the side of the bed as he said, "I know I've been bedridden for a few weeks, but don't think I won't tackle you down Renata. Besides, you're partly responsible you vixen you."

I put my arms up in the air as I said, "I did nothing. I don't even wear revealing clothing."

"Actually for me, the fact that you don't wear revealing clothing turns me on more," said Abraham as he turned his beet red face towards me.

Kyle sat up straighter on the edge of his bed. "So Renata, what will it be? Willing participant or the one who got tackled."

Sitting back down I said, "I'm not afraid of being tackled. But..." I leaned towards Abraham as I asked him, "You seriously dreamed about me? Why?"

"I...I don't know why. I was perfectly fine not recalling any of my dreams. I didn't think kissing your neck would leave an impression but it did." Abraham smirked and shook his head as the color of his red cheeks died down. "You're not even my type, Renata."

"Oh, what's your type?" I asked Abraham.

Abraham and Kyle blurted out at the same time, "Freckles."

"Freckles huh...so what brought this fascination on?"

"Freckles reminds me of constellations and I like star gazing," said Abraham matter of factly while Kyle's jaw dropped. "What, so I think stars are cool."

"That's just the geekiest thing I ever heard you say," whispers Kyle. "You're supposed to be the cooler of my friends."

I rolled my eyes as I said aloud, "You can take the actor off of the stage but you can't take the stage out of the actor." Kyle slowly claps at my words.

"You just might learn Sarcasma yet, Renata." Kyle's shoulders slumped as he rested back on his bed. "Anyway, if you guys want to fornicate then have at it."

"Okay," said Abraham while it was my turn for my cheeks to redden.

"Did you just pimp me out, Kyle?"

Kyle shrugged as he said nonchalantly, "If it wasn't me then it was going to be somebody else. At least you got pimped out by somebody you trust."

"Trust is a very loose word the way you use it," I replied. "Also, I don't get pimped out. EVER!"

Abraham snorted as he said to Kyle, "Somebody just fucked up. You better apologize or I'm going to have to do the sexy thing and defend her honor."

"My bad, Renata" blurted out Kyle. "Seriously though...if you wanted to...bow chicka wow wow then it's cool with me."

Abraham's answer was, "I'll just have to keep on dreaming about it till you're gone, Kyle."

"Can you stop talking like I'm not here?" I asked. Then I locked eyes with Abraham. "Also, a lot has to happen before this fornication occurs. I'm a lady, I like to be wooed."

"You don't say," said Kyle with a raised eyebrow. "Good to know."

"Just read your damn card," I grumbled.

Abraham smirked at me and my heart squeezed painfully. I remembered thinking, 'The handsome goth has dreams of me?!' I know I should've been more disgusted with the situation but nobody's ever claimed to like me like THAT before.

Kyle cleared his throat as he slowly opened his birthday card that had a huge Thirty-Four on the cover. "You're given the best news. Your wife is pregnant with baby number two!" Kyle closed the card and frowned. "Are you sure the baby is mine?"

"Of course it is, why wouldn't it be?" I challenged him.

Kyle smirked as he said, "My last birthday was a year of reflection. A year, Renata! Nadia surely could've strayed within a year."

"Nadia isn't like that though," I replied. "She's a faithful woman who for some reason is madly in love with you. To be honest, I don't know how you've gotten so lucky."

"The best things always happens to the bastards that don't deserve it," said Abraham as he held up his hand in my direction for a high five. I gleefully gave him one, relieved the awkwardness between Abraham and I faded away.
