CHAPTER 17: OUR BOSS WAS REPLACED

When he heard her ask if he enjoyed the show, he immediately knew she was referring to him so he came out from his hiding place behind the wall, he had hidden behind the wall when he saw her coming towards his direction, he had no plans of letting his presence known but he had no idea that she knew he was watching her. He was once again impressed by her. He rested on the wall with legs crossed and arms crossed, just smiling at her without saying anything or moving towards her.

This was the sight that Ru Lan saw when she turned to look in the direction of the person who was gawking at her. She was love struck once again at the handsomeness of the man, there he was standing in his full glory, a real life specimen and definition of good looks. She was suddenly feeling hot and she had to take a deep breath to compose herself, she released the breath she didn't even know she was holding, and thought, are his looks supposed to be legal? he should be arrested for sexual harassment cause by his impeccable looks.

She plastered a smile on her face and walked towards him, so did you enjoy a good show Mr Hotness? Ru lan preferred to speak in English with her perfect British accent that didn't even have a tinge of native tongue in it. She rarely spoke in N Nation's language unless she had to and people who didn't really know her thought that she was just pretending to be perfect with her great looks and beautiful voice which she uses to speak British accent.

She had already made a lot of enemies among so many City E socialites, but who was Ru Lan? One of the things she enjoyed the most, was putting these bratty young misses in their places, it was fun for her, but the people who knew her knows her real reason for speaking in English, she could not help it.

But Jason who heard her spoke was mesmerized once again by her allure, when they met at the mall the other time, he had noticed she was speaking to him in English and he just felt she was perhaps teasing him or trying to test him so he just played along with her, he noticed that when she was dealing with the gangsters earlier, she was speaking in N Nation's language so he knew she understood the language, he made it a point to ask her later when he has the chance, now this list of things to know about Ru Lan was getting longer and longer in his mind. He had told his assistant to investigate her a few days ago, but he couldn't find much except some basic information, they knew that someone powerful was hiding her information and that also piqued his interest.

He had been watching her since she started walking towards him without even blinking, she was a beauty a very beautiful lady and he lacked the pronoun to really describe her she practically took his breath away, and when he heard her spoke once again, it sounded like someone had strung a cord in the most valuable violin in the entire world, her voice carried the right amount of seduction and a little bit of playfulness in it.

Jason was so lost in his thought that he didn't know that she was already standing in front of him, she was still taking to him but he was not responding, she realized that the man had zoned out so she snapped her fingers in front of him and said, Earth to Mr Li.

Jason immediately snapped out of his perfect world that only had Jason and Daisy, he had not heard her speak to him and the last thing he remembered her asked was if he had enjoyed a good show, so he just answered that.

It was passable. He said

Ru lan was confused because she had asked him what he was doing here, but now that he said it was passable, she really didn't understand, so she asked him in confusion, huh! What? She asked

He was also confused at her question but then he realised that he wasn't even aware when she appeared before him, he had spaced out, he figured out she might have asked him another question and he didn't hear, so he let out a cough to cover the awkwardness.

The show, he said. It was passable, but i did enjoy it.

Damn! I knew i should have beat them some more, i didn't know you were watching... she smiled shyly and scratched her head. This action led some strands of hair fall on her face, but she didn't even notice it or care.

Jason reached out and tucked the hair behind her ear, she was shocked by his action, and he definitely was too. He didn't even know why he had done that but it felt like the most normal thing to do moment he saw the hair fall.

The air turned awkward again as they both stood there just staring at each other's eyes.

Even the assistant Ju Long standing not too far from his boss, shivered from cold even though it was summer right now, he thought he was seeing a ghost. His unfeeling boss who detested getting close to women just tucked in that woman's hair romantically, plus it was the same woman he had saw his boss holding hands with in the mall.

The worst part was that they had yet to find out any significant information about her and he knows his boss hates things he can't control the most. He would rather destroy them that let them give him unnecessary headache and he was certain that this girl fell in that category, so he did not understand what he was seeing right now.

He turned to the bodyguards standing beside him and coughed before asking... ahem ahem ah liu he called the bodyguard and asked him quietly, do you think that's the same boss we know? He didn't even wait for ah liu to answer, and that one wasn't planning to reply anyway.

Assistant Ju Long suddenly covered his mouth with his palm before his eyes opened up like he had suddenly gained some enlightenment and realization had hit him. But what he said next completely threw Ah Liu off... do you think our boss was replaced? Like what they do on TV?

Ah Liu was furious at this supposed best assistant's IQ. He couldn't hold it in anymore so he just gave him a smack at the back of his head, Ah liu was older that Ju Long by one year so he acted like a real older brother to teach him a lesson sometimes. He was the boss's personal body guard.

You are so dumb that sometimes i wonder how you are able to carry out your duties with boss. I wonder why he still keeps you by his side. You really need to go train your IQ and EQ again.

I also wonder how you cannot see that boss is totally taken by that woman. Our boss is in love. Ah Liu said with a smile on his face.

Ju long was shocked and didn't know how to react to what the bodyguard just said, but as he turned to look at the two who were not too far from him, Ah Liu's speculations were confirmed. His boss was smiling and talking to that woman again.
