CHAPTER 26 : IT REALLY TASTES DELICIOUS

After stuffing herself for a little bit, she noticed that she was the only one eating and the rest were just staring at her. She'll never stand on ceremony when it comes to food, that's why she forgot about them when she saw the food been spread on the table, all she could think about was how to gobble it all up, in her defence, she had been hungry for a while, so in an attempt to make things a bit normal, she decided to play via the innocent route like she didn't know what was going on.

Ru Lan turned to look at Jason when she noticed that he wasn't eating and his eyes were about to bore a hole on the side of her face. Why aren't you eating? Don't you like the food? This is one of old Lou's special. You really ought to try it, it's really delicious. She said to Jason

Jason looked at her and saw that her mouth was covered with sauce, he just stared at her in silence, Ru Lan on the other hand had already threw away herself consciousness, so she didn't care that Jason was staring at her with so much hunger in his eyes, she was still waiting for him to try the food so she didn't notice anything else. Not even the emotions and hunger clearly visible in Jason's eyes and evident in his stare.

Ru Lei and Ke Bohan knew better when they saw the way Jason was staring at her. Ru Lei just covered her face with both palms and said, for somebody that dissects the human brain for a living, you can be pretty dense sometimes.

What? Ru Lan asked. What did I do now?

Ru Lei shook her head in negation and sighed in resignation. She didn't know what to do with this sister of hers, so she just bent her head down and started eating her food without responding to Ru Lan's question.

Ru Lan turned towards Jason as if asking him what was going on. Jason simply stretched his hand and used his thumb to wipe of the sauce from her mouth, he then placed the thumb in his mouth and licked it clean. You are right, it really tastes delicious and I think I should eat more he said to her with a doting smile.

Ru Lei and Ke Bohan were simply flabbergasted, they never thought Jason will ignore their presence and act romantically with Ru Lan in front of them. They were supposed to be on a date, and even if they were both together, this new couple were feeding them dog food in overdose. They knew they had to leave, their date night was automatically a bust the moment Ru Lan came with her date.

Ahem! Ru Lan cleared her throat and acted like nothing happened but Infact, she was beginning to feel pins and needles sensation in her toes. Yes, You should eat more, it's truly delicious. she said to Jason.

We are full, we need to go home. Ru Lei suddenly said and grabbed Ke Bohan's hand to leave the place.

Why are you guys leaving so early? Is the food not to your liking? She asked them. Then she said just tell old Lou to make you another one if you don't like it. Ru Lan said.

No need, you should keep enjoying your meal, I'm afraid I might get stomach ulceration from too much consumption of vinegar. There seems to be too much vinegar in the air so we are both full. I'll see you at home. Come back soon. Ru Lei said.

Oh! I didn't know there was vinegar in your food, and how could it be too much, i'm pretty sure old Lou made this food himself. She acted like she didn't know what Ru Lei was talking about.

I'll see you at home then, she said. I might be a little late today though. Don't wait up for me. Get her home safe Han, she said to Ke Bohan.

Sure. Enjoy your date. Ke Bohan said, he was also tired of been treated like a third wheel though they were not angry at Ru Lan, they both knew she did it all on purpose as payback for all they had been doing to her in the past and the truth is that they had it coming. They also knew that there was more to come. He shuddered as he thought about all Ru lan would do to them now that she had found a herself a boyfriend. He shook his head as if to will his thoughts away, he gave Ru Lan the 'i know what you are doing' stare, Then he nodded towards Jason as a form of goodbye, before leaving Serene Gardens with Ru Lei.

Ru Lan was also happy that they understood that she had come for payback, so when she thinks about how much fun she will have with this her holiday, she just smiled and enjoyed the rest of her meal with Jason before also leaving Serene Gardens with him.

Before they left, old Lou had come out of the kitchen, he wanted to see for himself the person that could make Ru Lan tell everybody that she had found a boyfriend. The truth is that Ray had already called everyone to gloat that he was the first to meet Ru Lan's boyfriend. He was filled with nothing but praises about the man that Ru Lan had chosen. They knew that Ru Lan had been in relationships before but the were all flings, she was never really serious about them.

Old Lou was not really an old man but he was older than the rest of them who were in N Nation with Ru Lan. He had lived all his life with the Keltons. He was born there, and his parents were their chef and gardener respectively but the Kelton's had never looked down on him. When Ru Lan found out about her birth parents and came to live with the Keltons, he was her bestfriend since he was the junior chef, he made all her food.

He came out and shook hands with Jason, hello, i'm Louise but you can call me old Lou like Brianna does. He said to Jason

Brianna? Jason asked and looked at daisy with confusion apparent in his eyes. He had heard her sister call her Ru Lan, Ray had called her daisy, and Serene the AI had called her Miss Kelton, now the chef was calling her Brianna. He couldn't help but wonder what her real identity really is or if what she has presented thus far is her real self. Not that he cared but he had started to form a tinge of doubt in his mind.

Ru Lan knew he was confused and didn't wait for him to ask her the question. I'll explain later she said.

Nice to make your acquaintance old Lou. I'm Li Jaesun. Jason finally said and shook old Lou's hand.

I sure did. Thanks for your hospitality. Jason said. He didn't talk much but once he sense that this person has a bit of importance to Daisy, he decided to be polite as well, he needed to earn points and how he did it, really didn't matter.

That's good then. Don't pay me any mind, i just wanted to see Brianna's Boyfriend before you left. The CCTV is not as good as the real thing he said and laughed awkwardly when he saw Jason looking towards the CCTV. He knew he was caught.

Alright old Lou, we have to go, it's getting late. Ru Lan said and hugged him before they turned to leave. Jason had already realise that these people were like family to Ru Lan so he didn't really react to the hug this time.

Everything that happened today felt surreal and she knew she and Jason had to talk, she didn't know what the outcome of their discussion was going to be, she didn't know if Jason was just playing along with her all day or if he truly had feelings for her. She had just declared him as her boyfriend in front of Ray without asking for his opinion. She thought that he liked her as well or maybe he just didn't want to embarrass her in front of other people. Whatever the outcome may be, she would do whatever it took to make him hers.

She had already missed five years and she didn't plan on missing any more.

Jason was also thinking about the events of the day, from going for a meeting with the mayor, to finding his dream girl and becoming her boyfriend, he truly wished that all that had happened today was not her way of messing with him again, he had never had feelings for any girl except the childhood crush he used to have on his childhood friend but he had long let that go, he knew what he had felt for her then was not love and he could only see her as his sister, anyway he was just praying that his feelings were not one sided, and even if they were, he was not going to give up.

We need to talk right? Ru lan said to Jason.

Yup... we definitely need to talk. Inside he was wondering why the sentence we need to talk always carries a sense of dread, he was also wishing they could keep pretending and just end today on a perfect note. He didn't want to be single the moment he found a girlfriend.

I know just the place, Ru lan said.

Where? He asked.

Daisy's place. She said

Daisy's place? Where is that? He asked.

My most favourite place in the world. Come, it's not very far from here. you'll definitely like it. She said and led him to her motorbike. She was going to drive this time.

It was already getting dark by the time they left Serene gardens. Jason look at her as she sat on the motorbike and he couldn't help but remember when she took out her gun earlier and shot at Ke Bohan. He really was mesmerized by her beauty. I have found a gem. He thought to himself.

He sat behind her on the bike, wore his helmet and hooked his arms around her waist. She just smiled and said nothing when she felt the sensation and she ignored the heat swirling at the bottom of her stomach where Jason's hands were. She started the bike and off they went.
