Your Legs!!

Your Legs!!

"Thank You, Uncle Weng. I'm sorry that I created problems for you."

Even though it wasn't Wang Ming's fault he felt guilty, Wang Ming felt like he created a lot of trouble for Weng Ping by telling him about the problem.

"I only need pork belly from you once again, Uncle Weng. Though I will order a larger amount this time, since I'm opening my restaurant tomorrow. I also hope you can keep on providing me with meat, and don't worry about transportation, since the restaurant is close from here me and Louzheng will get the meat and pay daily."

Realizing that Uncle Weng and his cousin would have a fall out soon. He didn't know if Uncle Weng could find a replacement so soon. So Wang Ming would come and get the meat, instead of having Uncle Weng bring the meat to him by himself. It would also let Wang Ming to quality check the meat before taking it.

"Ok, there's no problem how much do you want? My shop looks small from the outside, but I have a large freezer and cold storage rooms in the back. I can easily provide you with up to 100 to 200 pounds of meats, though if you want large quantities like you will have to give me a day to prepare."

Wang Ming felt happy that Weng Ping could provide him with 100 pounds of meat. Since he would open his restaurant in two days, getting the meat tomorrow would be perfect. He didn't need it today, so getting it tomorrow gave him enough time to prepare it for opening day.

His plan was to cook a lot of the meat beforehand, then put all the cooked meat in an oven with low heat and wrap it with tinfoil. The restaurant also had a heated cabinet so he would place the meat after in the cabinet to keep the meat hot. This would ensure that the meat would still be hot and not dry out. Nothing beats freshly cooked food, but he didn't have any other choice for now.

"100 pounds of pork belly will be more than enough."

"Ok, that is 22 yuan per pound, so 2200 yuan. But since I promised you a 50% discount then 1100 yuan."

After paying for the meat, Wang Ming bid him farewell. Wang Ming couldn't help but flash a sad smile at him, but seeing this Weng Ping just smiled and ruffled his hair, Wang Ming just went out of the house.

But seeing Wang Ming walking away, Weng Ping's face flashed a look of disbelief and surprise. He then yelled out.

"Stop!"

Running towards Wang Ming, Weng Ping gave him a big hug and screamed into Wang Ming's ears.

"Did your legs heal? How did it happen so fast!"

Weng Ping felt like Wang Ming was a son he never had, so he felt happy seeing that Wang Ming had healed.

"It's a long story, Uncle Weng, when I have the time I will tell you. Thank you once again and goodbye!"

Walking out of the store, Wang Ming took out his phone and called Meng Hao, Peng Tong, Lang Lin and Fu Ya. Not only to invite them to the opening day but also to tell them about his legs.

Calling Meng Hao, he couldn't help but feel shocked at how enthusiastically he answered him. It was almost like he was talking to a kid who just got his first taste of coffee.

Peng Tong, though, was more indifferent about it the restaurant but was excited hearing about Wang Ming's legs. So he congratulated Wang Ming and promised to come. He also commented.

"What kind of brother would I be to not come to my Big Brother's grand opening?"

Even though Peng Tong was a fairly cold and indifferent man, he helped Wang Ming a lot. He was a person who liked to express his feelings with actions and not words. Instead of using words to congratulate Wang Ming, he used his connections to promote Wang Ming's restaurant. This was the gift from Peng Tong to Wang Ming, since his underlings couldn't help Wang Ming with anything.

Calling Lan Ling and Fu Ya, they both had the same reaction. They were happy for him and wished him the best, which made Wang Ming feel great. Both of them also agreed to come and would bring a present to them, but what made Wang Ming shocked was both of them asked if he would eat dinner with them on the same day.

Lang Lin wanted to thank him for saving her and apologize again in person, while Fu Ya wanted to eat dinner with Wang Ming, since Ming Ming had nagged her ever since Wang Ming bought clothes at her shop, that she wanted to meet uncle.

But since he called Fu Ya first and had agreed to eat dinner with her, he couldn't agree with Lang Lin. Her voice sounded a bit depressed at first but when he said she could come by his restaurant another time and have a candlelight dinner there her voice instantly brightened up. But this would have to be after Wang Ming could stabilize his restaurant, since he would have to commit all of his time to the restaurant for now.

Hanging up the call with Lang Lin, he then called Louzheng and asked him to meet at the restaurant as soon as possible. The two tasks left were to buy more wine and give Louzheng lessons on how to become a server and a cashier. Wang Ming knew that Louzheng would have no problem with being a cashier, but as a server he wasn't sure.

Louzheng probably had no experience in being a server, Wang Ming didn't have any high expectations though. He only needed Louzheng to know the basics, since this was a family restaurant, not a high class one. Wang Ming didn't need Louzheng to be a professional server, but as long as he was kind and helpful, then that was plentiful.

He didn't need to know all the hard skills a traditional server needs to know like: Serve everything from the right side then keep going right around the table or that you the protein should always face the customer. You should always take the plates from the direction you served from. But he should know some basic etiquette like not having fingers close to the tip of a glass or on the tips of any utensil, etc.

After buying the wine he needed, Wang Ming could finally make his way home. While walking home he kept thinking about everything that had happened to him from the day he offended Brother Hou till now. He felt his emotions go from anger, sadness, and then happiness. But he also felt something he had never felt before, hunger. Hunger for power, hunger for money, and hunger for protection.

Arriving at the restaurant and looking at it, Wang Ming felt more motivated and determined than he had ever been. This is my starting point, he murmured to himself.

Taking out the key from his pocket to unlock the door, he felt someone approach him from behind. As he looked behind, he suddenly felt two arms hugging him and lifting him up. Wang Ming readied himself for a fight and was just about to punch the person in the face. But stopped when he saw it was Louzheng with a cheerful face and grinned like a kid while shouting as loud as he could.

"Your Legs! Your Legs!!"
