Calm Before The Storm

Before Wang Ming left the shop, he called some delivery boys to carry the meat to his restaurant. He wasn't afraid that they would steal or scam him, since the shop the boys worked for has a really strong reputation. If they catch you stealing, then you could lose a finger or an arm. Many of the boys had a family to take care of, so they know what to do. Seeing the frail boys ranging from 14 to 18 years working hard, Wang Ming felt compassion.

Seeing them reminded him of himself, Wang Ming gave them a tip of 100 yuan each and told them to buy something for their families and especially food. Seeing them so thin, Wang Ming couldn't even imagine how their families would look like. Giving them his address to deliver to, Wang Ming walked towards the other shops he needed to visit.

Initially, Wang Ming felt angry after finding out Bo Hou Zhang had scammed him. But seeing the boys working hard, laughing and talking with each other. They have such a heavy burden on their shoulders to take care of their loved ones and provide for them. And yet they still enjoy life and have fun, so why shouldn't Wang Ming be the same?

Realizing how stupid he had been, it was a terrible mistake by him, but still he needs to look forward. Wang Ming snickered to himself and mocked himself for being dumb. People walking beside him thought he was insane, since he snickered and talked to himself. But Wang Ming didn't care about it, this was Wang Ming's way to free himself from all the negativity that had been gathering in his mind.

Feeling better, Wang Ming realized one of his biggest weaknesses is his mentality. He realized that he's easily influenced by other people because he isn't confident enough in himself. He didn't want to become an unreasonable person, but from now on he wouldn't let anyone bully him.

He has to stand up for himself and not let people mock him anymore, though he also understood that he needs to be smart and know the enemy before messing with them. Unless they touched Wang Ming's bottom line.

Looking at the clock, Wang Ming saw the clock was already 6pm. Seeing that it was this late already, Wang Ming ran to the shops he had to visit. Arriving at the stove shop, he bought two stoves that weighed 150 pounds each and cost him 5000 yuan each, which made a big impact on his wallet, but it was a necessity.

Wang Ming wanted to get the shop to deliver the ovens to his restaurant, but that's when the problem appeared. The owner had no workers working today, since two of four workers got injured earlier when a fridge fell on two of his workers seriously injuring them. The other two signed off for the day to visit their friends. Leaving the owner with no workers in his shop, Wang Ming thought it was bad by the owner to not close the shop to visit his workers.

But it wasn't his problem, so Wang Ming didn't ask more about it. But his problem was that there was no one to deliver the stoves for him. The owner had not told him about this before he had paid and only shook his head and laughed when Wang Ming asked for a solution.

Feeling the frustration getting the better of him, Wang Ming slapped the edge of the wooden counter so hard breaking a piece which made it look like an alligator had taken a bite out of it. Wang Ming grabbed the two ovens in each hand and carried them back.

Wang Ming didn't forget to kick open the door of the stove shop, which made the door shake so hard that it looked like it was about to fall off. The owner wanted to give Wang Gang a call since Wang Ming was ruining his shop. But before he could Wang Ming glared at him, which made him almost piss his pants so he stopped. The owner still wanted to give the Wang Gang a call, but since he didn't have Wang Ming's name or address, there wasn't really anything he could do.

A lesson Wang Ming learned from today was that you had to have power to not get bullied. He couldn't understand why people just couldn't be nice to each other. We are all human beings. But sadly, it has always been like this. The strong preying on the weak, bullying and doing what they want to them. Wang Ming felt he needed to restrain his temper, he couldn't always lash out even if someone had wronged him.

This was not the fate Wang Ming wanted, which fired up his resolve even more to make his restaurant the best in China.

It took Wang Ming almost an hour to take the stoves home. Many people kept looking and talking about him while he was walking. Some of them even tried to check if the boxes weighed anything, they thought Wang Ming was doing a stunt and was just walking around with empty boxes to garner attention. But realizing that the boxes weighed over 100 pounds, all the onlookers felt shocked, and couldn't understand how a man like Wang Ming could lift something so heavy so far.

Arriving at the restaurant, Wang Ming was happy to see that the meat was there, just like he had ordered. There was even a note that said thank you from the delivery boys. Wang Ming felt happy that he could help someone and make their days and lives better.

Opening the boxes, Wang Ming hurriedly connected the stoves and placed them in the kitchen. The two stoves looked out of place in the kitchen, since they looked cheaper than everything else there. Wang Ming didn't care too much about it, but he hoped his customers didn't either. Since the quality of the food depends on his skills and ingredients and not the price of the stove.

Finishing up with everything, Wang Ming finally got his two-and-a-half hours of sleep before he had to wake up and start working again. Sleeping this time, Wang Ming didn't get any wild dreams. He didn't know if it was because the sleep duration wasn't long enough, or if there were any other reasons. But at least for now, the dreams that had been bothering his sleep had ended.

After Waking up, Wang Ming instantly went to the kitchen to cook. There wasn't anything different today other than he had two more stoves. So he would be even more busy with two more stoves, he could cook double amount of meat than he used to.

Doing everything like yesterday. Cleaning and blanching the meat, cooking it for 1 hour, then 8 hours slow cook. Wang Ming felt exhausted when the time hit 9.30am, but luckily the last batch was close to finish. He hoped that today he would have enough meat to feed all his customers.

Hearing knocking on the door, Wang Ming realized he hadn't unlocked the restaurant door yet. Opening the door, Wang Ming was happy that Louzheng arrived on time this time. Welcoming him, Wang Ming and Louzheng then went to work cleaning up a bit and making sure everything's ready for opening.

They had already washed everything before going home the day before, so they didn't need to do too much cleaning. But there would always be some dust collecting even in 12 hours, so Wang Ming got Louzheng to clean up before opening.

As soon as the clock hit 10, Wang Ming heard a lot of commotion happen outside of the restaurant. So giving the task to take the clay pots out of the bamboo steamer to Louzheng, Wang Ming went out to see what was happening. Opening the door, Wang Ming couldn't believe what he saw.
