Skyrim. A land wrought with civil war all across the land. The Stormcloak rebellion lead by the stubborn Ulfric Stormcloak. A part of the empire's legion lead by General Tullius. The Thalmor, who are attempting to prolong the war by any means necessary. You would think that these three would never see eye to eye.
"Gold Aversis! By the order of the Empire, we will put you down!" General Tullius's voice sounded out over the silent legionnaires who carried silent rage behind him.
"Not before we mount your head on a pike for what you've done to Windhelm!" Ulfric's declaration blared over the sound of the army as his thuum carried his rage. The remnants of the Stormcloaks were all shouting warcries.
"The Aldmeri Dominion will see to it that you never leave these lands!" The Thalmor lead inquisitor added onto the pile.
Three armies stood beside eachother. For once they were not here to kill the other, they had come here for a common enemy. The air was filled with their united rage and resentment.
"Well, look at all the uninvited guests I have today." A booming voice caused the skies to shake. Thunder and lightning seemed to spark from the skies as if an angry god had arrived.
The alliance watched the clouds part as a man in scaled armor appeared above them. His hair was completely disheveled and his eyes shined golden light. The dragons circled the air as if waiting for his command. The sea of atronachs appeared from the mist.
"I commend your bravery for coming this far. I must ask though." Gold stopped at the edge of the cloud, looking down at the sizeable armies.
"Do you get to the cloud district often?" he grinned with an infuriatingly smug smile.

You might be wondering, what the hell happened? Well it's been a couple more months since I got here and my truck finally showed up a couple days ago. That's three months that I've been here. That means that it's been three months without any internet or other forms of entertainment.
I kill Alduin in the first three weeks, killed Miraak 2 weeks after then I literally managed to erase a Daedric god with Rhongomyniad. But that's only a little more than a month. I got tired of adventuring after another month. So I dove into magic and alchemy along with getting myself hammered from alcohol and high off of random hallucinogenic plants I've found across the land.
However I eventually developed a large tolerance to alcohol and the plants across Skyrim. So I did something insane out of boredom. I smoked an Elder Scroll. How? Well it wasn't easy, but I was eventually capable of extracting the essence of the scrolls and imbued the contents within some plants. Then I literally rolled it up and smoked it like a blunt. I don't have the memory of what happened the last 2 months. However I think I ended up finding the god Akatosh at some point and offered him a blunt.
"So, remind me what I've been doing the past couple months?" I asked Lydia who I am honestly still surprised hasn't left me yet.
"Well, you created a floating island in the sky and called it the Cloud District." She began
"Huh, I was gonna do that eventually. I just didn't think I'd do it without any memory." It was a pet project I considered for awhile but I was procrastinating too much to do it.
"You subjugated the remaining dragons and made them the protectors of the Cloud District."
"I'm more amazed that I found them in such a short time." Seriously, they were getting difficult to find since they started fleeing from me on sight.
"You created an army of atronachs and openly assaulted the Emperor's ship and sent the Emperor's corpse back to the Empire because you said and I quote 'Wanted to be known as the King of Pirates'." She informed as she directed me to a large ship that I supposedly used during the assault.
"So that's why the Empire is pissed off at me."
"You went to Windhelm and used your thuum to tell the people 'Ulfric is a wanker' before sinking the city into the waters." a large mirror revealed the area where Windhelm once was. It was just a giant lake.
"I'm more interested in how I managed to sink an entire city."
"You traveled across the seas to the Aldmeri Dominion and raised their ancestors from the grave and declared a war on them using an army of undead. After which, you made your return to Skyrim but not before creating a large-scale spell that caused all their butt-cheeks to develop the ability to speak along with their own sentience because you said that they 'Talked too much shit'." That just sounds hilarious to me.
"Well I hated the Thalmor anyway." I hummed as I processed all the information. I don't actually have enough power on my own to do all these things, which means I probably used a different source of power.
"Well since everyone wants me dead, I'll givem what they want. Lydia, since you've been conscious this entire time. Do you know how I'm keeping this Island afloat?" I'd really much like to know how I did it.

Reaching the center of the Island, Lydia lead Gold into a spacious room. The room was permeated with raw energy. A circular sphere with unreadable words etched into it and powerful engravings was positioned in the center of the room with visible wards surrounding it.
"So this is how I powered everything." Gold commented with intrigue as he looked at the Eye of Magnus that he took from his trip to the College of Winterhold some time ago.
The Eye of Magnus was a sphere that he had little information on since it was originally taken away from the player in the game by the Psijic Order. All that was known was that it held unfathomable power.
Gold had spent some time researching and studying it in the past concluding that it was actually a container. However he did not know what it contained due to the fact that whatever it used to contain was no longer there. Whatever it was, it must have been powerful if just the container had this much power.
"So I set it up and used the island itself as a catalyst for my large-scale spells. This explains how I have so many atronachs summoned outside and how this Island is floating." Gold nodded as he finally had answers he was looking for.
"Lydia, open the stairway."
"Are you sure?" Lydia was confused at why he wanted to open the stairway. It was the only way to reach the Cloud District besides flying. The enemy was currently in an endless war against the atronachs below the island.
"Yes, the tiny shreds of my conscience is annoying me again." he sighed with a finger pointing to his head.
"Right away, my Thane." She ran off, leaving Gold to admire his handiwork.

They were fighting a losing battle. No matter how many Atronachs they cut down, more would arrive to take their place. Ice Thralls were crushing scores of people underneath their large frozen bodies. Flame thralls lit up the sky with a hail of fire. Storm Thralls struck fear into the hearts of even the bravest men with each strike of lightning.
General Tullias continued to stand strong despite this because he knew that once he fell. The rest of his men would lose all hope.
*CRACK* The land seemed to shatter beside him as an Ice Thrall landed on the cold ground. General Tullias felt his heart beat rush as the frozen golem had it's frozen limb in the air, ready to descend onto him.
"FUS RO DAH!" The giant thrall was launched into the air, landing onto another group of atronachs.
"You are the last person I would think of that would save me." General Tullias commented as he took in his savior.
"Enough with your sarcasm, Imperial." Ulfric stepped next to him with his axe by his shoulder. "This is getting us nowhere, we need to get to the Cloud District if we want to win this war." his eyes were on the floating island above them. The war was pointless if they weren't even able to get close to the real enemy.
"Would you two stop wasting time and do something useful already!?" The Thalmor inquisitor stepped beside them.
"I don't see you damn elves adding anything productive to this conversation."Ulfric mocked
"While we have this conversation, more of our people are dying!" The inquisitor retorted.
"Well there isn't much we can do unless you Thalmor can fly up there!" Ulfric raged
"Why don't you just pray to that damn god of yours then?!"
"Oh yes, because praying will solve our problems!" Ulfric brought his palms together and rolled his eyes. "Divine lord Talos, please help the sons and daughters of Skyrim in our time of need!" Despite doing it sarcastically, Ulfric prayed respectfully as it was still a divine he recognized.
"See, praying won't do anythi-" he was cut off as divine light seemed to shine from the sky. A wide staircase made of pure light contructed itself as the three men's jaws dropped.
"Perhaps we can consider Talos as a divine if we survive this war." The Thalmor commented dumbly
"AHAHAHA! THANK YOU LORD TALOS!" Ulfric shouted as he began running up t he stairs.
"Why do I feel like this is a trap." Tullius ran after despite commenting that.
Leading only a few soldiers from each army, the three marched their way up the steps to the Cloud District.
∞
The small group made their way up the stairs. Reaching the summit, a large open temple towered above all the other buildings. Stepping through, they finally saw him. He was slouched on a simple iron throne. A red sword rested beside him as he held his head up lazily with one arm. His clothes were a mix of noble and mage robes. He sat alone on that throne.
Gold Aversis opened his eyes, they did not shine any light this time. He simply looked across the hall to the guests that just arrived.
"Gentlemen, welcome to the Cloud District." he welcomed them as if they were tourists. He stood up with his arms spread as if wanting them to take it all in.
"It's over Aversis. Even the gods want you dead." Ulfric spoke loudly, letting his voice echo throughout the hall.
"Surrender now and face execution or if you would prefer to die here, either way were taking your head." Tullius readied his blade as his men got in formation.
"Death is too good for scum like yourself, but you are too dangerous to be left alive." The Inquisitor and her mages readied spells in their hands for the coming battle.
Gold didn't look affected by their hostile actions. He simply grabbed the red blade known as Bloodskal. He didn't want to use Rhongomyniad in this fight since it didn't feel right to use while he was playing the bad guy.
"Well then, if you want my head so badly." He spoke slowly for a moment, as if waiting for it. The ceiling was destroyed revealing a large dragon above them. "Then you're gonna have to work for it." his smile was incredibly sinister at the moment.

"Is this really fine?" I hear Lydia ask as we floated above the sky, watching the battle unfolding before our eyes.
"Is what fine?" I asked, unsure of what she meant.
"Letting it end this way." she clarified as I watched my clone down there fight a difficult battle against the band of Nords, Imperials and Thalmor. Chances are they believe that I'm the one powering the army of atronachs, so I should be too tired to fight properly.
"Don't you think so? In the end, the good guys win. I didn't plan for all of this to happen, but with them banding together against a common enemy. Isn't that a good ending to this saga of the evil wizard Aversis?" I say as I see them finally land a good cut on my clone.
"But you will become vilified for years to come. Are you really alright with that?" Her tone seemed to be of concern
"Lydia, let me ask you. Why are you still loyal to me? Despite all the evil things that I've done in my month of insanity?"
"You are my Thane, and I am sworn to carry your burdens."
"That's the thing I really don't get. I'm not used to this kind of loyalty, but I appreciate it and for that I appreciate you." I say slowly, honestly I was expecting her to straight up leave me after i smoked the elder scroll. "As for others, I honestly do not give a damn what others think especially since this isn't even my world. I'm bored and I just want to see an ending that I desire." I'm a sucker for happy endings, and if I'm the bad guy then I don't mind causing my own downfall. Even if it's staged.
"Oh look, they cut off my head down there. Took them long enough." I gotta say, I put up a pretty damn good fight despite my clone only being able to use some destruction spells and swordsmanship.
"The island is falling." Lydia commented. Yes, I can finally let all the atronachs under the island disappear. I made it so that when my clone died, the Island would slowly descend to the ground.
"Well, I took back the Eye of Magnus, so there isn't anything else powering the island." If I can set up the Eye of Magnus in my workshop, I'd be insanely powerful as long as I was inside the workshop.
"What will you do now?" she asked
"I'd rather not stick around for the victory party of my defeat. So I'm going to leave this world, you can choose to stay if you want." I offer to let her stay since this is her home. Honestly I feel a bit, bad since I don't think a guy like me deserves someone as loyal as her.
"I am willing to carry your burdens, wherever you go my Thane." she made her position clear.
"Enough of that Thane crap, I'm not even the Thane of Whiterun anymore. Just call me by my name, it's Gold from now on." I tell her as I've been getting tired of being called a Thane despite not being a Thane.
"Of course, lord Gold." she bowed as I rolled my eyes.
And like that I returned to DXD to embrace the greatness of the internet and modern convenience again.
