Finally back in DXD

If someone were to tell Koneko a few weeks ago that she would find her house incredibly lonely, she wouldn't give it much thought. When Rias decided to move to Kuoh, she made sure to provide her peerage with their own place of residence. Koneko appreciated the gesture, she needed the space since she still felt a bit... apprehensive when it came to getting close to people. Especially after what happened with her sister, yeah she's still not over that.

The school semester hadn't started so she didn't expect to get any clients, but to her surprise someone actually called for her. When she first met Gold Aversis, she was honestly creeped out. Being summoned into a dark basement with the only source of light being his eyes, which she still didn't understand how he could shine them like a flashlight. But she guessed it was some kind of spell. She was never really adept when it came to knowledge of magic.

His first request though made her a bit annoyed. Who the hell calls a devil to clean up your home?! She still did the request since he paid well. Actually he overpaid, but he didn't seem to care. If he was so rich, then why didn't he just buy a regular house? That was just the beginning of many summons in the future.

She would reluctantly admit that she enjoyed the time spent being summoned by him. From casual spars with her going incredibly easy to snacking on sweets when he was too tired to go on. Although she never showed it on her expression, she was inwardly horrified the first time he called her to pull out blades stuck into him. She wasn't very good at voicing concerns and when she actually did, he waved it off much to her annoyance.

She made sure to knock him out in the next sparring sessions, if only to make sure he didn't run off to get stabbed again. She was only staying at his place more often to make sure her client didn't die of blood loss before she was summoned through the magic circle. Honest!

Eventually the semester started and he stopped summoning her to let her work with other clients. She wanted to murder nearly every single one of them. The amount of times she had been asked to cosplay in some ridiculous outfit or roleplay as some fantasy character was too damn many. She was not wondering what Gold would think of her in any of those outfits, definitely not.

Next time she met him, he crashed into the clubroom. That was the first thing that ticked her off. Then he ignored her despite being in the same room, that was the second thing. Then he started spouting perverted crap to another girl who he had tied up in chains. She didn't know he was into that kind of thing. But she did know from hours of experience, how to immediately knock him out before he did anything more stupid.

After that, he apparently took that other girl as a student or something. Rias wanted to invite him again to properly ask if he wanted to join her peerage. Admittedly she sort of wanted him to accept so she could see him more often.

But right now she is annoyed to admit that she feels a little a bit... forgotten. He hasn't summoned her at all recently, also when she showed up. That other girl was there again, Akemi if she remembered her name correctly. She wasn't jealous that she got to spend more time with Gold or anything, maybe just a bit.

"Oh hey, Koneko right? Do you need something?" Akemi asked from Gold's bed. She was lazily watching the T.V. in a loose tanktop while munching on a bag of chips.

Koneko narrowed her eyes a bit, that was what she normally did whenever she was waiting for Gold to come back from wherever he goes to.

"No, why are you still here? I don't see Gold around." Koneko asked as she took some leftover sweets from the fridge.

"Just hanging out, it's not like Gold minds anyway." Akemi responded lazily with her head rested on her arm.

'He might not mind, but I do.' Koneko thought, luckily she stopped herself from saying it out loud.

The ensuing silence was a little awkward as the two seemed to take up space on the bed. If Gold were here then he would honestly be ticked off that they were eating on the bed. He made a spell specifically to clean his bedsheets because everyone apparently likes eating on a bed that isn't theirs!

"It's good to be home!" The two turned to Gold who exited a portal as usual. He looked incredibly tired, as if he hadn't had a good sleep in months. Which is true, since he never slept after smoking the elder scroll.

"Lydia, go upstairs and take any of the rooms. I need to rest so bother me tomorrow." was his first order to the newcomer.

"Very well. Have a nice rest Lord Gold." The armored brunette left the basement on his orders.

"Welcome back." Akemi waved

Gold turned to the two that were taking up space on his bed. He took a red sword out from his gate and tossed it to Akemi. "Have a souvenir."

"Don't just toss swords at people!" Akemi panicked as she tried to grab the blade without cutting herself. The blade was the BloodSkall blade, it became well known in Skyrim since he used it often when causing great crimes against everyone as the evil wizard Aversis.

"It's name is BloodSkall and it shoots beams, have fun." Gold added, then he turned to the white haired devil who seemed to be silently staring at him.

He stepped closer towards the girl and raised her up to her surprise and hugged her tight. "I MISSED CATGIRLS THAT DON'T HAVE FUR ALL OVER THEM!" Gold cried out as he rubbed his cheeks to hers while rubbing her head until her cat ears came out.

Koneko put up a weak struggle, she wasn't sure whether or not to break out of the hold or not. She decided to just accept it since it didn't feel that bad.

You know what I've been doing that would make all my alternates in the multiverse shake their heads with disappointment? I've neglected to really learn any sort of frost-based abilities. At best I can make ice golems or spray frost out of my hands but nothing really advanced.

When I was in dark souls, I was more focused on learning pyromancies and sorcery. When I was in Skyrim, learning alchemy and enchanting was my focus. Which means I need to go learn some Ice spells. Not because I NEED it or anything, but because I would be shaming every person with the name Aversis in the multiverse if I didn't.

But where to learn some ice magic? Magic in DXD is mainly categorized into two major types, eastern and western magic. If I remember correctly, it was Merlin of this world who developed the magic systems. What annoys me is that western magic is more like math problems in the form of magic circles, while eastern magic was more closer to sorcery using different religions and demonic powers as a base.

"Gold Aversis correct?" I turned to the bespectacled girl in a bobcut.

"Yes, you must be Miss Sitri." She raised a brow, I guess it's a bit weird that I know her without meeting her before.

"Rias asked me to guide you to the building properly this time, I wouldn't want to hear of another case of school property being demolished." She spoke with a sharp undertone to her statement.

"Aha... my bad. I was in a rush." I apologized honestly.

"Even so that doesn't excuse your actions. On another note, after your meeting with Rias, please see me in the student council room."

"If it's about paying for the damages, I can just do it now." I was able to exchange gold for yen. It was a bit of a hassle going through the process at the bank. Also being questioned on where the gold came from was a pain.

"No, this is just standard questioning since you are a magician who has decided to base himself in our territory." She spoke professionally. I guess there are some rules and procedures that she has to go through for cases like this.

"Oh, alright. I have some things to ask you as well later." I wonder if I can get in contact with her sister. If I remembered right, she specialized in Ice magic.

"Then I'll be expecting you, I'll send someone to escort you there. For now were here and I have some matters to attend to." Sona hurried off, I guess being student council president is a busy job early in the year.

"Thanks Sona." I call out before stepping through the door. I wonder where Akemi is at, I tried calling her to come with me but she didn't respond.
