Already a sponsoring offre?

The middle age hadn't satisfied his curiosity but like the previous old man he wasn't an estate agent thus couldn't really ask further without being too intrusive or lying and presenting himself as an agent. He decided to play it honestly and said:

I'm sorry but there isn't any agent here today, if you want I can relay a message tomorrow.

First who are you, secondly if you aren't an agent why did you ask me how much I can pay, thirdly if there aren't any agent why would the agency be opened today? Yin Ling couldn't understand this person behaviour, he was sited behind the desk but said that he wasn't working here but asked him a question like he was.

The person sited was flabbergasted, he realised that he really wasn't intimidating the young man, he realised that the boy was calm and composed and simply asked what he wanted to know precisely. This was the antipode of how a child would usually act. He was mixed feeling about it, he was even more interested in the fat boy in front of him now, but at the same time the question he heard was like placing a knife in front of him and asking if you are not useful to me why are you talking to me?

He hesitated a bit but finally said:

I'm a sort of regular here and have some relation with the owner thus I have keys, I was talking with a …friend just now and because I was nearby I opened the agency to have a place to talk. I didn't expect anyone coming in but was interested because you are alone and quite young that's all.

Yin Ling understood the situation, looks at the man in front of him and said nodding:

I see good bye. He didn't have any more interest; the agency was closed and he wasn't particularly welcomed here, leaving now was his most logical option.

The middle age man who after seeing how Yin Ling acted was kinda expecting this answer and thus wasn't that surprise, he then thought of something and asked:

If you want a good and calm place you should go after the old man who just left, if you are willing to work a bit ; and you can rent the place for nearly nothing if he likes you. The man was considering doing a favour to Yin Ling giving him a good contact.

Even though Yin Ling was poorly dressed looking at how calm he was he considered him as quite promising, giving a favour to promising youth for an early middle age was generally a good call and he knew it, but he didn't expect that the young man would totally reject him simply responding him

Why would I run after an old man and even waste my time working for him if I just want to rent a place? Since I have money and money lead the world, why would I bother doing something like this

You sure don't work here for saying this, well if you have nothing else to say, excuse me.

The man looks at Yin Ling's back in deep though. He concluded that this young was indeed very promising, he was more or less saying that his time was more expensive than money itself, which generally wasn't what someone very young would think of as true, only with some wisdom and experience you would understand that the better investment place is yourself.

The middle age man was stagnating both in richness and politically, both are close and influence each other and thus when both stop progressing, improving his position was basically very difficult. He needed a new form of influence to progress politically and which would allow him to expend his business sector, thus he recently sponsored a lot of youth hoping to have interest later without a lot of succes yet.

He was considering doing this with Yin Ling, his previous gesture was like giving himself more time to investigate Yin Ling, but he was very logically rejected without having any chance. But now he had only one more chance, and this chance was slowly getting away, but what could he do? He really wasn't an agent, hence he didn't have any apartment or house to rent but he suddenly thought:

Do I really don't have any?

There was this house that he once bought, but he remembers giving it to his daughter and he knows that his daughter isn't living there, she graduated from high school and thus leaved the place for a renowned college in a big city. Ergo this house should be free.

He saw a light, but he thought again, he did gave this house to his daughter, even though she didn't use it anymore it was still hers and he should ask her beforehand. But at the same time he knew that he couldn't wait to ask her because the young man was leaving and he didn't even know his name he would be hard to see him again.

After this, he thought that he was a student in the middle school not far away, but he then shooked his head, it was the National Holyday and thus to see him again he would have to wait five more days and given Yin Ling's behaviour he would definitely rent a house before the end of the day let alone in five days.

He then thought that this was now or never, he was going to give the house to Yin Ling when he remembered that he really knew nothing about him, he saw him during 5 minutes and already wanted to give him a house. Did he became crazy this early? He decided to talk and have more information but first he needed this young to listen to him, he simply said

Wait I need to talk to you

Yin Ling didn't know what to do or to think, this man was really insistent and becoming a bit annoying

I have a house available and I may give it to you, but I need to know you better. The man was playing it honestly, he didn't think that lie would make thing any better anyway but Yin Ling's response take him aback.

You want to win over me with just a house? You sure think cheaply of me? I said that I have enough money why would I do it your way?

The man was stunned again, did a twelve years old boy really don't care about money at all?

Well allowing me to do you a favour that you may never repaid in the future isn't that bad of a deal for you right?

Ok then let me formulate it in another way, if one day I want to repay you, what would you want me to do?

The man wasn't expecting first that the boy would understand this word this well, and secondly that he would be this franc, he didn't know whether he should keep being honest, honesty is usually good at the start to gain confience but isn't necessary when going into the deep of the subject. But after seeing how frank Yin Ling's was, if he didn't say it directly he very well might be ignored.

I want to improve my influence, and I need youth with talent who can help me later, I want to sort of sponsor you. But I first need to know if you are worth it or not

How much money can you give me right away? It's your last chance to interest me. Honestly I don't need sponsorship thus if the amount of money isn't interesting I won't even talk another sentence to you.

Yin ling's wasn't in need of money now, but he might very well be one day ; if he was going to buy a lot of sports equipments, it might cost a lot and that was the only reason he was still talking to this man. The man said as well that he had a house to rent it could let him avoid some trouble by going to other agency where he could be denied from being taken seriously because of his age.
