Written Exam Passed!

Looking at the sheet of paper, Drog saw that throughout it there were questions with some space below them. He looked at the first question. "What ingredients are required to make a basic Qi recovery pill?" he read it in his head and just after half of a second of thinking, he wrote down his answer in the space below the question. His answer was – 'Tchi Herb and Yi Grass.' He looked at the second question. "What is the process of making the basic Qi recovery pill?" he read it in his head and just like before, just after half of a second of thinking, he wrote down his answer in the space below the question. His answer this time around was not as short as five words, it was much lengthier.

Drog continued reading and answering the questions not until he finished all the questions on the first sheet of paper, but until he finished all the questions on all the sheets of paper and that was when he lowered his pen and placed it onto the table. "I take it you are done," he heard elder Feng's voice.

Drog raised his head, his and elder Feng's eyes met. "Yes, elder Feng. I am finished, " he said.

"Will you wait for me to check your answers or do you want to come back tomorrow?" elder Feng said.

"I will wait," Drog said.

Elder Feng nodded her head. "Alright." She took the first sheet of paper, looked it over and not finding any mistakes took the second sheet of paper. She looked it over and not finding any mistakes took the third sheet of paper. She continued repeating this process until she checked all of Drog's filled out sheets of paper. She looked up from the last filled out sheet of paper. "Excellent job, you pass and with no mistakes," she said and made all the sheets of paper disappear.

Drog smiled. "It was me taking the test so it's only natural. But thank you anyway, elder Feng."

Elder Feng extended Drog's identification insignia to him. "Here you go. Your identification insignia."

Drog took the identification insignia and stored it inside his pendant.

"You are now eligible for the practical exam and you can also rent alchemy rooms," elder Feng said. "To pass the exam, you will have to make a basic Qi recovery pill that is of at least 35% effectivity."

Drog nodded his head in understanding. "I see."

"You can go," elder Feng said.

Drog stood up. "Until next time, elder Feng."

"One more thing before you go, Drog."

Drog tilted his head slightly to the right. "What is it, elder Feng."

"On the exam, if you manage to make a recovery pill with over 85% effectivity. I will accept you as my student."

Drog furrowed his eyebrows but before he could say anything, Liu Ri's voice sounded in his head, "Accept her proposal."

"Why do I need an alchemy teacher when I have you, my master, to teach me alchemy?" Drog said in his head.

"You are right, I can teach you alchemy," Liu Ri said. "But I can't provide you with countless ingredients that are needed to practice alchemy. If you accept her proposal, she will provide you with those ingredients. But if you decline, you will have to procure all the ingredients yourself which will cost you both time and money. Don't be an idiot and accept her proposal."

"What is your answer?" elder Feng said.

Drog sighed. "I accept."

Elder Feng smiled. "You can go."

Drog nodded his head. He left the room and passed several corridors before reaching a door which led to the room that led outside of the building. He opened the door and saw the back of the man who was sitting behind the counter.

The man turned his head back and smirked. He stood up and walked up to Drog. "How did it feel to fail?"

"I passed," Drog said.

The man shook his head. He placed his right hand on Drog's left shoulder. "Next time, don't be an arrogant piece of sh*t and take more than a few days to prepare. Alright?"

Drog coldly harrumphed and swiped the man's hand away. "If you don't believe me, then go ask elder Feng. I need Tchi herb and Yi grass, also an alchemy room."

The man frowned. "Elder Feng?" he mumbled but then he shouted out, "That guest elder's surname is F—Feng?!"

"She is a guest elder?" Drog thought. "But more importantly. Why is he so shocked about her surname being Feng?"

The man hastily walked up to the counter and from behind it pulled out a green jade. He held it in his hand for a few seconds, but then he started shaking. "Impossible," he mumbled. He turned around and faced Drog. He bowed his head. "I am terribly sorry for my earlier behaviour. Both plants will cost 13 copper coins and to rent an alchemy room for an hour will cost another 10 copper coins. A total of 23 copper coins."

Drog frowned. "I have no money," he thought. "I will have to go and do a mission. But before I do that, I should first train in a body strengthening technique, a movement technique and an offensive technique. But before I do that, I should find out why was he so shocked about Feng surname."

"You said that elder Feng is a guest elder?" Drog said.

The man gulped down his saliva and slowly nodded his head. "That is how she introduced herself to us. I don't know for how long she was in the sword sect, or in the alchemy peak for that matter. But I first learned of her, when she gathered the entire peak a few weeks ago and introduced herself to us as simply as the guest elder. She didn't give her surname or say from what sect she came from… But since her surname is Feng, she could have only come from the divine dragon sect."

"What is the divine dragon sect? Why she could have only come from the divine dragon sect? And why were you so shocked when you learned that her surname was Feng?"

"Are you serious?" the man said in a stunned voice.

Drog nodded his head. "I am."

The man slowly breathed in through his nose and slowly breathed out of his mouth before saying, "The divine dragon sect is the strongest sect with no other sect even coming close to its strength. Elder Feng could have only come from the divine dragon sect as the divine dragon sect was founded by the Feng, Xiao, Wei and Mei families, and everyone from those four families, enter the divine dragon sect exclusively. In addition to that, the Feng family is the royal family."

Drog nodded his head in understanding. "I see," he said. "I will come back later." He walked out of the building and left the peak via the bridge. He crossed the main peak and returned to the outer disciple peak. There, he saw Lucia, but she was talking with two male disciples of her age. He walked to his cave and sat down cross-legged. "Master, teach me those techniques that you said you would teach me."

"Very well," Liu Ri said. "Enter my prison."
