Two shadowy figure stood above all else, their eyes scanned through the infinite darkness occupied by beings far beyond the comprehension of men.
Below them stood a twinkling miasma, a harmonious yet chaotic blend of darkness and light, mesmerising and captivating to all those who glaze their eyes upon it.
The shadowy figure to the left, a large an imposing figure enveloped in dark rot, lifted its hands, ready to swipe the twinkling miasma back into nothingness.
The other shadowy figure to the left quickly darted its hands above the miasma, ready to catch the I comming strike from its brutish breathen. This figure was equally large and powerful, cowl in a clock of darkness with light itself as of trying to seep out from said clock to the surrounding.
"Don't you dare Angra. Just because you have failed to shape it in your malicious image, doesn't mean you can just destroy the creation of our father as you wish!" the figure protecting the miasma said.
"Pft, my malicious image you say? It is the opposite my brother Spenta! I want to destroy it BECAUSE they are of malicious in nature. No good will come from this wretched beings!" The dark malicious figure who wanted to destroy the miasma replied.
"Nonsense! That is merely you projecting your malicious self on these innocent beings. Just because you are not able to split yourself apart and do the right thing time and time again, doesn't mean innocent beings aren't able too as well!" the protective figure quickly interjected.
"You on the other hand is too blind to see the truth that is right before you eyes brother! " The other figure shot back with fury, clearly starting to lose its temper at its brothers nonsensical rambling and interference.
"Say that again! I dare you!" The protective figure retracted its arms and assumed a fighting posture, as if ready to unleash primal chaos onto any being in its vicinity.
"Woah woah woah, it won't do to have you two brothers fight and destroy everything and everyone..." A third but smaller shadowy figure from among the crowed fluttered out and spoke to stop the impeding doom that was their duel.
"Stay out of this! Know your place!" The figure known as Angra lashed out immediately. The size of the beings are also an indication of their strength, the fact that both Angra and Spenta tower above all the other beings is proof that in the heirachy of beings, both of them stand at the very top, far above all else.
"I would dare!" The cowardly figure said as it bowed in reverence. It soon continued, "But allow me to make a proposition. Let's leave its fate to a wager!"
"A wager? Between me and my brother? That does sound like an interesting way to settle this with as little casualty as possible..." The figure known as Spenta replied as it relaxed its stance once more while peering at his brother.
"Indeed... What would the wager be?" Angra spoke as its raged calmed down as well.
The shadowy figure secretly let out a smile as it stood up and share the details of the idea it had.
Not long later, the two figure smile menacingly as each tried to manipulate the rules as much as they could to favour their own and subsequently shake hands to seal the deal.
"All that is left is to wait..." Spenta said as he sat down.
"Indeed... Wait" Angra repeat as he stared at the miasma menacingly.

Present day 2019, the day has gone dark and many is on their way home after a long day of work. Donald trump is still the president and the world is as the world is.
Amidst the chaos of daily endeavours, Jeremy, a middle age male in his early twenties, walks home from his job as a lecturer in his local University.
"Ahhhhh what a day..." Jeremy said as he scuffle his hair while walking back home. Things aren't going his way.
He got his job as a lecturer soon after finishing his masters in one of the local universities here in Malaysia. Problem was however the pay was not as high as he was expecting and to make it all worst, the loans he took to complete his degree and masters from the goverment which is commonly known as PTPTN has snowballed so big that he would not be able to pay it off even if he gave more than half of what he is earning from his job now every month. With that much of his money flying off to paying debt, he doesn't have much left when it comes to social life and quality of life progression in general.
This however isn't exactly a new problem to those living in Malaysia anyways, for a country with 4 major races and countless minor races all following different religion living together since ancient times and is known to be one of the few, if not the only, country that has managed to get independence from a European power without any bloodshed at all, their politicians from both sides of the Isle only seem to know how to instigate racial tension year in and year out instead of dealing with real issues that are actually affecting the day to day lives of its people.
Perhaps its was as intended by those in power. Irregardless of era, men in power has always sought to keep themself in power and the most effective and easiest way to do so is often by force of will or by pitting the common folks among them self. Be it in the name of race, religion or nationality.
In the end of the day, what was Jeremy if not but just speck of dust in the face of the cosmos. Do or do nothing, nothing will change. As he though of his insignificance, he gave a sigh.
It didnt took long however for him to notice something almidst from his usual bout in the trenches. As he nodded his head upwards to see the sky, he notice an eerie absence in light. The stars in the skies are absent, leaving behind a darkness even darker than night.
Silence.
The surrounding was awkwardly silent. Jeremy's apartment unit wasn't far from the university that he teaches in. Right below it was what Malaysians would call a mamak. It is basically a restaurant where locals tend to congregrate late into the night watching football or just late night supper.
However because of that, what was odd was that it was silent. It was common for this particular mamak to be noisy all the way to wee hours in the morning. It might be late but it was only 10 and this was the time where both students of this university and another local uni come and make chaos.
And yet, it was silent.
'What is...' Jeremy though as he scanned around. He saw a few confused faces walking around too, opening and closing their mouth but with nth coming out of it as they walked out the mamak. It didn't take long however for them to notice the blank heavens and abruptly just stared motionlessly at it.
'What could they possibly be...' Jeremy asked himself as his eyes slowly dart to where everyone else was staring, only to find himself slowly being captivated by a mysterious nothingness.

...
BOOM!
The earth rumbled originating far into the horizon. Unbeknownst to Jeremy, he has been staring into the sky for an unknown period of time.
"What in the world!?" Jeremy said as he turned his head and face the epicenter of the sound. The rumble was accompanied by a mass power outage which struck building after building, like a wave originating from the point of impact. It didn't too long for it to reach where Jeremy stood, plunging him, together with everyone in the quaint town of Bukit Beruang into the darkness of the abyss.
