While Red was listening to their banter, he gained some pretty insights on the life of adventurers.
"Yeah but have you heard of that one rogue that went on to befriend a dragon?!" Matt said as he flailed his arms wildly. Truyle chuckled at his childish behaviour, while patting the boy's head. "You poor sweet child. No one's ever done that! Those only existed in fairy tales! Dragons will either eat you or deceive you!"
Lucy interrupts her with a snap of her fingers, and said "If they are so smart to deceive people, then that means they are smart enough to be good!". Trishka nods her head aggressively as a sign of agreement to Lucy's statement. Tryph could only laugh at their banter as he sneered at them like they're lowlives.
"If dragons are sooo smart, so evil, and so good, then why didn't they just rule over us all?! See, they're nothing but weaklings full of bark and no bite!" Truyle, visibly angered by the four kid's retaliation against her, smashed the table and glared at the four with deadly eyes.
"If you are all so great then why don't you go to the local Warlock and have your butts slapped?!" She hissed. When the four kids froze and looked ghastly pale, she choked on air as she laughed loudly at their reactions.
"Hahahaha! Look at your precious reactions! I just-" She continued laughing her heart out as she continued slapping Matt who was seated next to her.
Red sighed and chuckled along, alerting everyone in the room of his presence. "Oh My Orion! You're already awake?! Shouldn't you be in recovery right now?!" Truyle panicked as she dashed Red to the bed he was previously rested upon
"I'm good" Red said as he tried to force his way out of Truyle's grip. He couldn't. Truyle kept pushing him down to the bed, and once Red's head fell to the bed in defeat, she silently chanted. Few seconds later, chains of light formed and wound around Red.
He almost panicked, but once he noticed through the system the use of the chains, he could only sigh and forced to 'rest'.
[Light Chains (III) - Binds target for 5 seconds (*2 if core is lower than caster's core by 1).
Modified Effect - Heals the bound target for 5 seconds (*2 if core is lower than caster's core by 1)]
Red could only open his system and scroll through different animes he could unlock with bare minimum. So far, he could unlock these animes:
•That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
•Food Wars (episode 2)
•The Rise of the Shield Hero
'Slime Isekai only required learning how to name creatures.... weirdly' Red thought, but he kept his complacency at bay since he remembered how Rimuru had to sleep for three days after losing his mana.
'How about Shield Hero? Wait nope I don't want a wh*re to accuse me of anything.' Red sighed and tried to find anything fun in his system, when suddenly a loud thud rang out.
Truyle was quick to check who the person was, but before anyone could react, the person immediately screamed as if in pain, and wailed with their hoarse voice:
"ELVES! TRUYLE, PLEASE ASSIST US!"
The whole room's aura immediately turned sharp and gloomy, that was because Elves were known as the number one enemy of Humans, and they never expected to encounter them this early on in the story!
The kids in the room were sweaty, their legs felt like jelly, mom's spaghetti, only one thought went through their heads right now: 'We were unprepared!'
Red, on the other hand, couldn't wait to see and even encounter some lucky chances with the elves, and when everyone was expected to defend the city, he wanted to go there and meet one!
'Oh my god! What will the Elves look like?! Will they look like those elves in those shounen I've watched?! Are they great in archery?! Do they have druids?! I'm so excited!'
But what he expected was a far cry from the actual elves of these world. The elves that he fantasizes about are fictional, whilst this universe's one is different!
"We must go immediately! Red! You said you are fine? Good, join me and I'll give you a rundown on healing!" Truyle pulled Red off of his chains and dragged all of the kids towards the city walls, were soldiers were currently watching anxiously over the walls, where the fiends called elves were waiting to strike.
Red expectantly looked over, but he was forced to belch when he saw the faces of the so called elves.
'What the hell! More like Orcs! Those guys are hideous!'
The elves in topic had varying shades of purple, violet, and dark blue. Their hair are so long it rivals a fashion diva from his past lives! It reaches down to their ankles and that's when it was tied, it was a forest green and had highlights of yellow throughout.
They had six limbs in total, two sets for arms and one for legs. Their body structure was even more scary, there were some who looks like females but were more bulky than the others, and their fangs varied too.
Red wanted to cry, he really did.
'Where's my Elven beauties?! Where's the harem I'm going to build with Elves as my servants?! I hate this universe already!'
Red can only wail pitifully as Truyle prepared her mana potions and healing apparatus as she said to the kids besides her to keep alert.
"This was so unprepared, what will happen next?" Matt asked under his breath, eagerly waiting for the war about to happen.
