Xiao Fan didn't need to be told by anyone to go and crush his opponent, but maybe Du Lan saying so he might go little harder against him, getting some back to their duo from the champions following Lei Tian.
Su Guanting seeing Xiao Fan going down to wait for him, finished his talk wit Lei Lun and also came down to the arena.
Coming down, Su Guanting knew he was the underdog; however, that didn't mean to him that one should succumb.
Su Guanting was still confident, even when coming to the stage and getting into a stand ready to start, not letting Xiao Fan wait long.
The second match started the same way as the first one by a judge banging a large bell on the side, giving the go-ahead for them to start fighting.
Meanwhile, as Xiao Fan and Su Guanting began to fight, the three brothers of Lei Family under a pentice were talking about Xiao Fan, a person they had never heard about and how did Lei Tao had found him.
¨Lei Tao where did you find such an excellent person to come and take part under your name in the tournament?¨ The firstborn of the sons asked him.
Lei Tao enjoying this moment of finally talking to his brothers on equal ground, vaguely responded to their speculation ¨As I have said before I met his family during one of my caravan trips and helped them a little bit on my way, yet that was years ago. I didn't think I would meet these youths again here¨
However, the brothers knowing where his caravans usually headed into were only more questioning of their origin ¨You are saying that these youths might be from the Bald Eagle Dynasty or the Liang Dynasty or some other country you have been?¨
The middle brother Lei Tian hearing these names got little shivers around his body just from someone just naming those countries that they had only heard from their little brother's trips and warnings from their father when they were young.
But Lei Tao, who didn't know where they came realised that he had a perfect alibi to say that they came from there did so ¨Yes now that I remember when I met their families, they were from there; however, don't think that these two are some big shots there¨
Every time they heard these rumours like this from Lei Tao, did both of the brothers shivered a bit from imagining such a place existed on the Ohin Continent.
From when they were children, they had been told that they were like kids playing with toys compared to these dynasties of Lei Tao spoke of to them.
¨Brother is so lucky finding someone from there willing to come to Hefei City. Trade is truly your best area, as what does it matter if brother can't cultivate well like us if you have such contacts in there¨ Lei Tian praised his brother.
While his two brothers praised him, Lei Tao laughed inside knowing that for example in the Bald Eagly Dynasty's region his monstrous caravan in Hefei City became just one trader amongst others selling some low-level goods from a faraway wasteland there.
Their praises went on for some time, after which they started to discuss the current situation, mainly how Su Guanting was being strained to the limit already by Xiao Fan, who was the mysterious person from the more prominent places.
Xiao Fan didn't know that somehow the three brothers had presumed where he came from currently by chance as he had a small problem trying to persist his onslaught in front of him.
Fighting against his first human opponent, he felt like it was much more comfortable than fighting against beast in a forest.
In the forest, something like the Lion tribe's matriarch could rip his shoulder apart with one good bite while Su Guanting couldn't do anything like that.
The human body opted to use tools, but like right now where weapons weren't allowed, and only the body could be used instead, was it more of a matter who got more punches into the other.
Xiao Fan was much more of a fan of this way of combat than the previous where fearing that one of your moves could lead into a severed leg were constant.
Meanwhile here the worst thing that could happen was someone for some reason got to hit your face, and then one would fall unconscious however even for that to occur you either needed to be dull or already taken a good thrashing.
And since he wasn't either, fighting unarmed was something he relished very much, reinforcing this notion to him was how in the current fight he got to punch a lot while receiving little.
Su Guanting was now grasping how it had felt for Du Lan in the last fight as blows from Xiao Fan were hitting him consistently, yet he could only throw a punch there and sometimes there.
Xiao Fan pounded Su Guanting for a good five minutes or so when his guard eventually let down, and he located an opening to hit his stomach.
Xiao Fan, who was excellent in using openings, made the quick decision and almost instantly after Su Guanting had opened his hands too much punched his abdomen, sending him flying to the corner of the arena.
Lei Tian ¨Seems like Su Guanting can't win this one¨
Lei Fan ¨What did you expect? He's a grade below him, Su Guanting would need to be a great talent to do so¨
Lei Tian ¨Well, first of all, he is one, and it's not like that Su Guanting can't right now break into third grade any day and might already be fourth grade when the tournament hits¨
Lei Fan ¨No he can't be that's too fast, but you are right he seems to be a peak second grade¨
Lei Tian ¨Brother Tao do you know how those people there cultivate so fast?¨
Lei Tao ¨They use some methods we don't know of; however, every time I ask about what they are, they shut up and won't even do business anymore. They treat that information in such secrecy or paywall that we simply can't get that information¨ He said with a sigh in the end.
Lei Fan ¨Could you ask Xiao Fan or Du Lan to spill some of those ideas?¨
Lei Tao ¨No! I can't miss my one good chance with them because of greediness¨ He made a convenient excuse that let him shut their idea immediately before it gained any air.
Hearing this, both brothers could only lament.
Both of them were Body Strengthening first grade and still could further their cultivation, but reaching the Body Shattering realm in Hefei City before death came to reap felt too difficult.
Lamenting about this Xiao Fan below them on the arena was rushing towards Su Guanting, who was trying to get up from the ground, yet his try was obstructed.
Because when Su Guanting got one leg up, his opponent had already come at him, bringing a more significant need of blocking the incoming blow before getting up.
Just after the first blow landed onto Su Guanting's forearms in the small window given to him before another one would reach him, he rolled to the side and in the same motion propelled onto two feet, getting back in the fight.
Xiao Fan, who had already queued a few fists to arrive on the spot where Su Guanting had first been receiving a hit soon realised that his opponent had already left it after the first punch.
However, as doing things like this was still in his blood, he proceeded to punch the air for a few times, before adjusting his stand and moving towards the opponent's new position.
Aforementioned had happened because Xiao Fan hadn't familiarised to the nimbleness of human opponents, he had come to remember that after a strike hit his foe would the foe stay there for a bit staggered.
He noted this and continued.
Nevertheless, this wasn't a crucial factor in their fight, and soon another fist landed to a spot left unguarded by Su Guanting's hands.
And since he had already stood near the corner of the arena, he found in the proceeding moments that the punch had connected himself into the stands.
Xiao Fan was the winner like the judge proclaimed when clanking the bell again, but the winner didn't celebrate a lot as he strolled back to the stands as if he had never been competing.
Yet this wasn't Xiao Fan being lofty, the reason for this was simple; he was evaluating his actions, the most mattering concern for him in this fight.
He remarked how light his injuries were compared to fighting an animal and that how much more fun it was to be fighting a human, a being which could make rational decisions that could be figured to happen.
Facing an animal, there was no thinking what the opponent would do, only reacting was useful. Fighting against Su Guanting had been different in a way that as he made a rational decision, they could be seen with good foresight.
When an animal would think about evading, would it act upon what was the best for that move while a human would think ten or so seconds further.
Hopefully, at some point, animals or whatever they were categorised as would become rational.
Pondering about this, he came back to his place where Du Lan was waiting for him already ¨You really didn't give him a second to recuperate huh¨ She had been stunned how much difference there was between her and Xiao Fan in terms of melee capabilities.
Xiao Fan stopped his reasoning for the moment to chat with her ¨Haha, that wasn't a lot you should the next match against Lei Kang. For him I need to use all my strength compared to Su Guanting, who was only a training opponent¨ He boasted.
Her laughing to his boasting later, they spoke for a while, but before long Xiao Fan needed to leave her again, for the third and final round was about to commence.
Yet when he got down, Lei Kang was nowhere to be seen, five or so minutes idling later Lei Fan went to look for his son who appeared to be somewhere he shouldn't be at the moment.
Then a few more minutes of waiting Lei Fan came with Lei Kang in tow who had a few red marks on him and was being dragged by his father down to the arena.
What more as he was being dragged everyone could overhear the young man scream and yell how they were forcing him to fight against some peasant, yet every time he called Xiao Fan peasant or a stranger his father would hit him for a reason he knew not.
When Lei Kang was ultimately dragged into the fighting stage, he glanced at Xiao Fan, who for him was some small-time outsider ¨Please surrender, make this quick. I have places to be. Ladies aren't of the waiting nature!¨ He said in a tone that was more of an order than a request.
This kind of portrayal made him slightly dislike this Lei Family prodigal son who acted like he was the brightest star around with cultivation of Body Warming realm fourth grade.
¨May I ask the same from you. I also have a lady waiting for my swift return¨ He shouted back to him while pointing towards where Du Lan was sitting.
For some reason, Lei Kang looked towards where his hand was pointed and noticed the woman he was speaking about, and the lady who was ¨waiting¨ for him was of that class that he would also ask to leave to woo a lady of her class.
Then seconds later, he realised that this was only to mock him, for Du Lan blushed and shyly looked back to the men talking about her.
Realising this Lei Kang's eyes came back to the man who had mocked him, then his finger shaking pointed at him.
He shouted.
¨Ah! I tried to be kind to you; however, talking to me like this has just given me enough interest to beat you down in front of her!¨
