Hangzhou auction 3

They had a perfect view of the woman carrying something inside a box to the stage from their upper gallery private room.

The woman wearing something a little too bit revealing then started to speak about how all the important youths who would be taking part in the tournament had come to see their auction and thanked them for it after which she briefly informed about the rules.

Which there wasn't a whole lot other than no physical fighting or one would fly straight out of Hangzhou by the men of Warlord Zou Zexi, who also happened to own this auction house.

The Warlord owning this auction wasn't anything unprecedented since Zou Zexi owned almost everything inside the city except for a few unique businesses that had a small place in every major city.

Meanwhile, as she talked, not a lot of people were looking at her even if she was dressed in a fashion that tempted any man, for everyone was more interested in the thing inside that box.

To see what was inside took a while and when it finally opened, it was a disappointment for Xiao Fan because there was nothing useful in this item for him.

Maybe it wasn't for him, but even people seated in the middle gallery became excited as this thing was vital for them.

In the box, there was no weapon, but a scroll that was the journal touching the cultivation of someone who supposedly reached the Body Shattering realm peak.

An item like this while being truly useless for Xiao Fan was for everyone who wanted to reach there yet had no knowledge how to do so a holy grail.

As in a way with this scroll helping them, they could be guaranteed to become a Body Shattering realm cultivator if one had time and patience.

The bidding for this item happened mostly on middle galleries, and in the end, someone took this scroll for the price of 35 000 gold coins.

The family or clan that had bought this must have used a huge a portion of their wealth, yet getting something like this depending on the content could be a total change for the family.

Single scroll like this could transform a low-end family into one that dominated the city in a generation.

The next item was brought immediately after, though that was also a scroll containing information, so for the first part of the auction he had nothing to do else than sit on the sofa and chat with Du Lan.

Until something actually interesting was brought to the stage, this item was the sword that they had seen on the pamphlet before, Xiao Fan didn't care a lot about getting a good sword at this stage, but it was starting at 10 000.

He wanted to know what was so special about it to earn such a high evaluation; therefore, he started listening.

And for the first time, Xiao Fan heard about body weapons.

The sword was meant to be a weapon for a Body Shattering realm cultivator, and so the item was certainly aimed to get the attention of the upper galleries to join the bidding.

No one on the lower gallery could even lift it, and when talked about swinging the sword, there were only a few people present who could do it.

So surely it wasn't meant the be bought by the people in the lower galleries.

The whole thing about this sword that it was forged from such a dense material that a Body Shattering realm expert could use as a weapon.

As if a person on that level was using an ordinary iron sword would he better off with using his body but equipped with this sword, one could destroy enemy experts at the same level.

In practice, this sword was the same thing as for Du Lan using a regular bow compared to the Serpent's Bone Bow, meaning that the cultivator could bring his full force into the attacks.

And the item did set the people in the upper gallery wake as even the initial asking price of 10 000 was double quite quickly with a few bids.

The item was sold around 30 000 Gold Coins in the end and was then dragged off the stage by a Body Activation realm cultivator towards the upper gallery with visible exhaustion from carrying the sword even for a moment.

After the sword that had been advertised came more swords, but these were actually useful for the contestants who would be taking part in the youth tournament.

The auctioneer even explicitly declared that they could be used during the tournament.

So the first sword that was for Body Activation realm juniors was for a moment fiercely bid in the lower gallery for with having such a sword was a decisive advantage in a battle. However, after there seemed to be a winner amongst them someone in the middle gallery crushed the man's dreams of owning the sword by simply bidding double the amount he had bid.

And it would seem that every sword that was brought up to the stage was going through this. They were first being bid around in the lower gallery for a period while they hoped that no one from the galleries above them would bid for their dream weapons.

But not a single weapon found their owner to be in the lower gallery.

Du Lan, who had been leaning on Xiao Fan all this time had also been watching these swords and spotted one that she wanted, so she looked at Xiao Fan.

¨Fan'er aren't you going to be bidding for a sword?¨ Du Lan asked with her head-turning upwards so that she could look at his face.

Xiao Fan looked at her, forgetting about the auction for a moment ¨I'm just waiting for the last sword I think that that should be the best one they will be offering¨

¨Ah, okay... Can I get a sword?¨ She asked as he didn't get her idea.

Xiao Fan understanding what she was saying realised his mistake ¨Sure we both own the money so if you see something you want just bid for it¨ He said.

Hearing this, she had some mixed messages again, at least she would get the sword, but he sadly didn't get the whole idea about bidding it for her and then giving it as a gift.

Though it seemed that she just thought so as he bid for the sword she wanted, and he did so with the amount of money that it threw anyone's ideas about getting this sword away, making Du Lan smile a bit for that sword wasn't definitely for his own use.

By now, he had gotten her idea.

But unluckily for Xiao Fan, a voice from a few booths away also started bidding for the sword, and it surely wasn't going to be used by a person whose voice was one of an old man.

And soon the price was already sky-high.

¨2 000¨

¨2 200¨

Everyone else had already stopped bidding for the sword as the price had already gone over the initial asking amount of 500 Gold coins for a few times.

Now they wanted to know who were the people bidding.

Meanwhile, the voice of the man bidding with Xiao Fan was becoming more and more upset what more the price increased, and the person behind it was also thinking who the hell was so adamant about getting this sword.

As for this man's identity who was bidding for it was none else than the father of Qian Wei, who wanted to get this sword for his daughter who said she fancied this sword.

Qian Bai seeing that the other person was still leisurely bidding it for the sword played his authority card ¨I, Qian Bai ask whoever is wanting to get this sword to stop now before I get angry, 2 500!¨ His voice carrying a tiny bit of hostility in it.

Xiao Fan, in his booth hearing that he was betting against someone strong for a moment, became hesitant, yet remembered that the rules of the auction would apply to Zou Zexi's direct subordinates.

So he wasn't too worried and continued.

¨I Xiao Fan do not care my woman wants this sword. And she shall have it, 3 000!¨ He voiced his name towards the booth were Qian Bai's was and then bid again.

The price was becoming quite costly he thought, but the steady income of Greenheart was much over 3 000 gold coins a day, that in mind he would be getting this sword for Du Lan.

Qian Bai hearing the name of the other person was surprised as he had thought he could make anyone stop bidding with his name; however, the other person was just a kid but also a kid with money.

Furthermore, he knew that his assets wouldn't be so high as Xiao Fan's so he could right now only take an apologetic glance towards his side where Qian Wei was.

And one could instantly see that she wasn't happy about not getting that sword with a violet flower pattern carved into the steel and the sheath that she craved.

Qian Wei fiddled with her white hair a bit, then suddenly pulling it she responded to her father ¨Forget about it¨

Qian Bai could see that she was unhappy and tried to soothe her precious daughter ¨Wei don't be like that maybe he will gift it to you if I go and talk with him¨

But no more response came from Qian Wei.

Meanwhile, on the lower and middle galleries conversations about who could spend money so lavishly had been going on, but after them shouting, they now knew everything.

First of all, the belligerents were Commander Wei, one of the most powerful people in Hangzhou and Xiao Fan, the most influential youth in Hangzhou and maybe even in the Ohin Continent.

The second important part was how both of them weren't trying to get it for themself but buying it as a gift for their most precious one.

Most people who were understanding this thought how could they compare while the few women cultivators were thinking how lucky the two women were having such a person helping them.

But after their brief shouting, Qian Bai knew that only way now to get his precious daughter back on good mood was to get that sword from Xiao Fan, and that could only be achieved by talking to him as bidding him down was very much so a pipe dream with his assets.

So Qian Bai shut up and let the sword go to Xiao Fan for now and started to think his words.

Xiao Fan was the highest bidder when the auctioneer ended the biding for the sword.

After this, he auction continued like normal while the sword was brought up to the private booth where Xiao Fan was with Du Lan waiting for the sword to be brought up.

When Xiao Fan heard it coming got up and went to take the sword before it even got to the room, giving a note to the man who was bringing it, who given the money took off.

Then Xiao Fan with the sword in hand felt that the body swords were indeed something as if he was to fight with this it would constrain him because of the weight.

Tough when he could use it would this shatter a regular iron sword in a few clashes and pierce bone like butter.

The sword in his hands, he presented this gift to Du Lan, who happily kissed him for it and then subsequently took the sword into her hands.

Instantly after getting the sword in her hands, she also realised how heavy it was and that she would have zero advantage using the sword in every scenario.

Still for now at least it was an expensive gift for him, so she had no complaints about it.

After getting the sword, Du Lan didn't even try to swing the sword but put it in her lap and started inspecting the patterns she had liked so much.

The violet flower pattern on the blade was the prettiest thing she had seen as flowers connected to each other while some of then shined when a ray light hit the flower petals.

Now that Du Lan was happy, Xiao Fan focussed back onto the auction going on as if there could be something to help him in the coming tournament as techniques and swords had gone.

So how about something like the herb that Uruk had eaten? And Xiao Fan also knew tons of other herbs that could do magic for a person like him.
