Hangzhou auction 4

Though before waiting for the herbs to come, there was still an item he needed from the category that was currently being auctioned as he didn't have a body weapon for himself to use.

Xiao Fan could, of course, use Du Lan's sword; however, the shame using a sword that was evidently made for a woman and one that he had already given as a gift...

Fortunately for him, new swords were being carried up to the stage.

Body weapons were rare, evident by him not even hearing about them in Hefei City, yet there had been around ten of them appearing here.

And it couldn't be for no reason that Zou Zexi was selling away these priced treasures that he could still very much so use to equip his officers.

Pondering about it more the only reason he could think of now was that Zou Zexi was trying to give everyone a good impression about Hangzhou. Everyone here was also the people he wanted to recruit, so he might be so generous because he was afraid of losing talents to the other recruiters?

Not knowing better Xiao Fan decided to discuss this later with Du Lan, who could see these things better, and for now, put his focus on the last sword he had been talking about before.

The last sword coming up was like he thought, the best one from the looks of it and the longest of them.

Also, when looked at how brightly it shined, one could realise that there was some coating on it, for the blade's reflections weren't white, but pale yellow.

Soon his interest was relieved somewhat as the auctioneer spoke about the blade in great detail, telling that the coating everyone else was looking at was made by soaking bones of a Body Strengthening realm mutant inside a molten gold for a few years.

It was during this method the gold and bone were mixed together, producing this effect which wouldn't even wear off.

Xiao Fan when hearing this decided that he would get this sword so immediately after bidding for the sword started he shouted enough to win it without anyone else even trying to bid.

They knew well that they couldn't compete.

Obtaining the sword, he was already contempt about everything yet now he would need to find something to improve his cultivation so he could use the sword.

Meanwhile, as Xiao Fan was spending money carelessly, Qian Wei in her private booth was starting to speculate about who this Xiao Fan was.

However, asking about him she was little disappointed as his cultivation was listed at the fourth grade of Body Warming realm, so she soon got disinterested in him again.

A good for nothing merchant who spends his money on things that he can't yet even use, she deemed and continued to fiddle with her hair.

Back to Xiao Fan's booth, he was already swinging his sword around the spacious booth they had been allocated.

Inside there was enough space that he could get enough momentum to accelerate his body to take swings around with his sword that glimmered in a golden colour he liked almost as much as his robes that were blood red.

When he ended his playtime and came back to the sofa, Du Lan was still inspecting the details of her sword, seeing this Xiao Fan didn't sit down and end her examination but leaned over the railing towards the stage.

And like he had thought the next items were something that could boost one's cultivation, yet many people were weirded out by them bringing up weeds to be auctioned.

The ones knew what these were didn't say anything to the ones starting to leave because they thought they couldn't get anything useful.

This auction had already sold tens of items, and they were getting none, so most of the people on the lower gallery were deciding to leave than get any more hits to their ego now that they knew them being the best in their towns and cities didn't amount to much here.

Would they stay and hear people bidding hundreds of gold coins for a weed?

So while most left the ones still left were becoming more interested as these were the actual goodies that one would pay anything if they had the chance to buy them.

Though the first item was again a disappointment for Xiao Fan, for they were actually auctioning his own products!

The boxes they had brought to be auctioned were packages of Greenheart, a thing that he could bath in every day for free.

Still, he saw something positive in all of this, as the Greenheart vials being auctioned were sold quickly even if their price was a few times more compared to what Lei Family were selling them.

For him, this meant that people still didn't have enough Greenheart in storage, and that told him that his business wouldn't slow down in the near future.

He even heard some of the people who won their bids for Greenheart celebrate getting them by praising Xiao Fan, who they knew was taking part in this auction.

Getting praised made his somewhat downward mood rise back up, and it also didn't take long before something useful for him was being auctioned.

And one of the good things here was that like cultivation methods any alchemic formula was guarded so Xiao Fan could hog all most every rare plant they brought up.

No one usually knew their uses, and so these items were typically introduced in every auction held here to see if someone would be interested.

So others were mostly watching Xiao Fan shouting bids alone for every herb that was coming to the stage, thinking that was his invention of Green Heart really a mistake?

Even Qian Wei became enough interested to stand up and lean on the railing to see into the booth were Xiao Fan was shouting from.

And to her surprise, the man himself was also leaning on the railing, rising his hand sometimes when he bid for the herbs.

Seeing this, she began to stare at him, trying to figure something.

However, Xiao Fan, feeling being watched, turned his head towards where she was. Turning his face, he sees that the person staring at him was the owner of that angelic face.

When his eyes locked on her face a second, he got a better picture of her face and its forms.

Qian Wei's face was the same tone with her legs that had looked like snow sculptures while her long puffy snow-white hair fell on her face, cutting figures of her head in the middle.

He looked at her, she looked at him, yet soon both of them noticed what was happening and hastily retreated into their booths.

Qian Wei jumped into her sofa where she started fiddling with her hair harder than before trying to shook any thoughts about Xiao Fan.

Xiao Fan, on the other hand, went back to the sofa to calm down for some reason he himself didn't know.

What he sensed was a weird feeling.

It was like the time he had first met the Du sister, but this time he didn't like it at all and tried to get her figure of his head.

Knowing that he didn't like what the feeling was trying to tell him, he gazed at Du Lan's face, the face that he should be thinking about that way.

Du Lan noticed him looking at her, but why was he gazing into her as if he didn't know what to do.

Seeing him like this didn't make her understand anything, but she grasped that he was going through something major that just happened. And that thing didn't seem to be anything good.

¨Fan'er is everything all right?¨

Hearing her speak, Xiao Fan couldn't get anything out of his mouth, but he did grab her almost forcefully into his embrace.

A thing he didn't want to had happened. He had looked at Qian Wei for a moment and had thought about how beautiful she was, yet he did so in a way that was only reserved for Du Lan, his special one.

While Du Lan, who was being yanked like this was now weirded out. Yet didn't do anything for a moment as he genuinely looked as if some great confusion had befallen him.

Now that he had taken her into a tight hug like this, she didn't ask but began to soother him with her hands, trying to get him to calm down.

The same was happening still also at Qian Wei's side. She didn't either get his face out of her head no matter how much she tried thinking about other things.

Xiao Fan and Qian Wei were now out of this world, leaving Du Lan trying to soothe him.

Although no one of the youths had an idea, two other people had a rough idea of what had transpired.

One of them was Qian Bai, who had seen her daughter gaze towards the other people in the upper gallery. He had kept an eye on her during all that, so he could connect some dots from observing his daughter's current situation.

The other one was Cao Cao, who had already read Xiao Fan's mind, so he knew that he was somewhat a monogamous individual for no good reason.

In his world monogamy wasn't rare or anything, even his opinion on the topic was that either one monogamy or polygamy was beautiful, he wouldn't mess with him on this one.

However, Xiao Fan even after exchanging a few passionate kisses with the woman he loved wasn't still getting the idea out of his head, and to Du Lan, he looked even more confused than before.

"Fan'er is everything okay?" She asked again.

This time he registered her speech but didn't get out a fitting sentence "I-I just can't get her out of my mind" he said to her, hugging her even tighter.

Finally, something she could guess with, on the other hand, what he said wasn't a good thing at all since what he said was something she also didn't like.

So as he was trying to hug her tighter, Du Lan used some of her real strength to separate them a little "What! Are you thinking about other women?" Now that she knew what he was thinking, she didn't know how to feel at all.

By now, she had already fallen for him, she liked every second of their time together, yet he was now thinking about other women and still kissing her? One didn't need to describe what kind of face Du Lan had.

"No-Not in that way Lan'er you are the one I love! And that's why I'm c-confused?" He explained to her.

Du Lan had heard him say that he loves him before, and every time he said so she would melt from hearing it, and this time it was no different from the others.

From that, she somewhat eased and began to realise. Maybe what he was going through wasn't his want.

Understanding this, she began to think who was the woman he meant with those words. Her conclusion came to a single person, Qian Wei. Not good at all.

Her thoughts were loosening more and more as he began to think more, yet somehow her loose thoughts would hit the nail's head.

Those thoughts of hers imagined that somehow Qian Ki had felt the same? It might be so she concluded unhappily. Her conclusion itself came from the fact that she had also fallen for Xiao Fan way too quickly.

Hoping that this wasn't the case but fearing for the worst, she begins to build her defence.

One thing was sure when Xiao Fan came to reason again after a few minutes or so, as when he gazed at Du Lan, he still had the tiniest idea. What if Qian Wei was also like Du Lan to him?

But Xiao Fan didn't want to think more at all, so he went fully back of focussing on bidding for more herbs while the other person was still having problems about shaking Xiao Fan off her memories.

As she likewise didn't know why was she doing this and cursed inside herself. How could she see anything good in a man who wasn't even a Body Activation realm cultivator?
