'Idiot, idiot, idiot' Ye De repeated, he being the first one to see that his descendant had, for God only knows why come running out of the cave.
'Never should have trusted this short kid to do one thing right' After repeating the idiot this was his next thought.
Yet before he got further in his lamenting, however, he gathered his thoughts, then began to think for the future, the thing that mattered now.
Next to Ye De was the second person to realise what was going on, and unlike Ye De, who wasn't the least bit happy, Meng Chin leaning on his chair was amused.
Very amused indeed.
She had thought that this thing might be a hard thing to argue, as in she would need to put any effort into it.
But now, that Ye Qi, who had no reason to be the last gatekeeper was revealed to be the last gatekeeper...
Well, she might not need to talk a full-sentence today.
The two of them being the highest people concerning cultivation were the first to react and due to that reaction speed was what they had already understood only now dawning on the others.
When others realised what they had, it didn't take long before a few unhappy shouts could be heard from the lower stands of the huge wooden building.
Shouting which had been instigated by no one else than Zhuan An and little later Fei Sun.
They wanted to shift the public opinion to their favour, or at least Fei Sun thought so, as, in reality, Zhuan An was doing this simply because, she, herself was angry.
Angry that her hubby was so unfairly treated.
Though it was for a good reason, there was no way that someone sane would have included Ye Qi to be a hunter in Xiao Fan's trial.
Nevertheless, thanks to her unintended shouting Xiao Fan, who was now running away from Ye Qi towards the middle of the arena got the popular support.
Though even if he had this information, Xiao Fan wouldn't do much with it since no dead man needed popular support.
And Xiao Fan being chased by the rampaging Ye Qi wasn't wanting to die anyway... well again, the first time had been enough, and he didn't think that Cao Cao could pull off that manoeuvre for a second time.
Something there really didn't like Cao Cao or even more him.
With these incentives, Xiao Fan was very motivated to run towards the people who were in charge of security. And thankfully for him this time there would be people taking Ye Qi down before, he could get to his skin.
Xiao Fan running forward had seen the security personnel already running at him, and moments later he felt two airstreams one on each side of him. Then taking a look at these human missiles that were now behind him, he saw a ball of cultivators forming as the two knights of his tackled Ye Qi.
'If I see that guy chasing me for the third time like this I'll plead Meng Chin long as I need so that she'll kill him' He stopped to breathe and think, seeing as the last hunter had been apprehended.
Or more accurately pinned into the ground; however, even then, Ye Qi was still screaming, and his facial expression looked as if he wanted to murder him and more.
'Oh well, time to continue the plan' He didn't waste more time with Ye Qi and skipped over where Ye De was waiting for him.
Happily skipping over, almost in a humoristic manner, Xiao Fan stopped and informed about his arrival to Ye De, who wasn't in such a good mood as him.
¨Seeing as you have completed the inner sect trial...¨ Ye De then waited for a moment, taking a look at Ye Qi, who was still trying to squirm his way out from under the two people on top of him.
Then after a quick sigh, he continued ¨You will now be a part of the inner sect of the Rising Fox Sect. Let me be the first one to congratulate you¨ Ye De stated and waited for Xiao Fan to make the appropriate responses before disappearing.
He would have a lot to do.
But everything was for the family, he muttered, and so he couldn't do anything, but to fix the things that Ye Qi had so nicely broken.
Following the moment Ye De had taken his leave, it was the turn for Meng Chin to speak.
However, Meng Chin didn't bother to get up to state her words as Ye De had; she spoke everything she wanted from the same lean she had been all this time.
¨I'll be taking Xiao Fan under my tutilage¨ She announced before realising this to herself.
'Oh dam, that's a full sentence'
Thankfully she didn't need to speak more, as after she had said so, Xiao Fan said the stuff he was supposed to say.
Something along the lines of ¨I accept¨ Or that much Meng Chin heard. She had said the stuff he needed to repeat before, and as he was a smart boy, he would remember everything.
Indeed Xiao Fan said the stuff he had heard Meng Chin speak during their massage session yesterday; not including the improper noises, seeing as most likely moans weren't a part of it.
But who knows with the Rising Fox Sect.
With them it might as well be so, he thought, but didn't take the risk that would come if they were included.
At least it seemed to be the right decision, for the crowds hearing that Meng Chin would be taking a disciple was news to them enough.
And maybe if this was the lower sect, the disciples might be envious about Xiao Fan being appointed as an elder's only disciple.
But things weren't so in the upper sect where everyone knew about Meng Chin and her ways.
So to most of them, this was more of a shock that why would someone accept being solely taught by Meng Chin?
Wasn't doing something like that like breaking both of your legs and then hoping that you would break your personal best in squat?
Even Fei Sun couldn't but hope that Xiao Fan wouldn't have taken the offer, but this wasn't her place to say her opinion.
Though her opinion about it was so obvious that even Xiao Fan, who was coming towards her noted this.
¨You don't need to worry about anything. It's not like Meng Chin will be teaching me anything related to cultivation¨ He humoured.
¨She shouldn't be teaching you anything!¨ She exclaimed and gathered support from Zhuan An, who nodded to this.
To this, Xiao Fan only smiled, not saying more to the girls.
Since currently, he needed to introduce himself to two bald men behind the girls, who seemed to be waiting that the casual banter was over.
¨Elder Zhuan. Thank you for patching me up¨ He thanked and bowed quickly before getting back up to face the other.
¨Elder Fei. I'm honoured to meet you¨ He bowed again before getting to see their response.
It did take a few long seconds of them not responding, only staring at him, but they did speak to him, or Zhuan Shan did.
¨No need to be so modest with me. Zhuan Shan is alright¨ He seemed to be nice, or so Xiao Fan thought while in reality, he simply respected his master whose real cultivation he knew.
Not knowing this Fei Peng took a look at his friend, who was doing something like this in front of a junior trying to take his daughter away.
'Not at all like he should be' He noted.
Though if he knew, he would also lower his pride a little in front of Xiao Fan, yet not knowing he didn't do so.
¨Fei Sun has spoken some things about you, but Elder Fei it is to you¨ He made a firmer stance.
Seeing his friend not getting the hint, Zhuan Shan continued the conversation with Xiao Fan.
¨Now that you are a member of the inner sect what will you do?¨ He asked a question anyone would.
Xiao Fan seemed to ponder for a moment before answering ¨I think the next step will be elder I guess¨ He spoke vaguely yet firmly.
¨Better be quick¨ Fei Peng commented hearing his plans, an elder no less he had spoken to Fei Sun.
¨Ambitions are a check¨ Zhuan Shan continued the friendlier approach ¨Want to come over for a talk?¨ By inviting Xiao Fan to come over.
Fei Peng hearing this raised one of his eyebrows.
¨Of course I'll come to talk with an elder if one asks¨ He had no reason not to go and talk with Zhuan Shan.
And it wasn't only because of Zhuan An. It was also because in all do reality, Zhuan Shan was a much higher level of a practitioner of medicine.
Books could give you their theory, but the experience that was needed was harder to come by, for that you needed someone skilled to teach you.
It would be wholly beneficial to go and discuss with Zhuan Shan about medicine with other things on the side. Maybe even travel with the man in question, going around and practising some surgery wasn't a bad idea.
Moreover, it wasn't like Zhuan Shan was expecting a negative answer and hearing it he continued.
¨Fei Peng, you coming with us¨ He turned his head to look at Fei Peng, who hadn't gotten the notes.
¨I-I'll come?¨ He didn't get why but realised that Zhuan Shan would tell him what this all was about when they got there.
Xiao Fan then waited a moment as both fathers said something to their daughters behind Xiao Fan. With the meaning that this was men's business, leaving the women to speculate about what that means.
Then leaving, Xiao Fan noted this to Meng Chin, who didn't seem to deny this, and so left the trial area behind two adult men.
When they were at the Zhuan Family place, they went straight into the room where Zhuan Shan would have meetings and such talks.
Getting into the room, Fei Peng made himself be at home and walked his bulky body to the sofa that had been made to accommodate him.
Xiao Fan, himself, had stopped on the door like the good junior he was and waited for Zhuan Shan to get where ever he was going in all silence.
When Zhuan Shan had found a spot to sit on near Fei Peng, he asked the thing that he most coveted from this boy.
¨You got the thing?¨ He straightforwardly asked.
Xiao Fan having heard what Zhuan Shan knew didn't object and reached for his pocket.
Taking out the vial that was somewhere amongst the dirt he hadn't gotten out of his pocket yet, he handed it to Zhuan Shan, who for his age was a little too excited.
Sure, the vial wasn't expensive, Zhuan Shan could afford it, but another thing was that at this point getting one's hands on it was hard, especially after the person who managed the selling had suddenly died.
Most likely by assassins, they were told, he didn't care other than for the reason that because of it, new agreements had been made, which provided more vials to the public.
Still getting even a single vial was too hard for him.
¨Thanks, thanks¨ Zhuan Shan repeated a few times to Xiao Fan when he got the vial to his hand yet shooing him away.
Then as if he was a kid who had found a worm spoke to Fei Peng ¨Look, look. Look what I got¨ He presented Fei Peng the vial, shaking it in front of his face.
¨Hey! Where did you get that?¨ Fei Peng noticed that his friend had somehow gotten to his hands a vial that shouldn't contain anything else than Greenheart due to the voice of tone and the colour.
¨Fei Peng, this is why you were always the slow one of us two¨ Zhuan Shan laughed at him, who had missed the whole transaction happening between them.
¨What? What did I miss?¨ He got into a more proper sitting position whilst asking what had he missed.
¨You haven't still realised haven't you¨ Zhuan Shan bantered to him and pointed his finger at Xiao Fan.
