Wang Geming, listening to the reason Xiao Fan gave him for his actions, decided to trust his words which told that event was all a test? For some reason, he felt that it was so, though he wouldn't if he had seen the bloodlust in Xiao Fan's eyes when he had been diving down on him.
Surely, in that case, would the Prince not believed in this lie, but with the information he had he spoke ¨Indeed it did open my eyes¨ He even twisted out some wise words that would fit the concept he was seeing.
Xiao Fan, who still had his face towards the ground, hearing his lie working smiled towards the ground, yet when he looked upwards at the Prince, he had no facial expression ¨Then everything is good, and now that the Prince has gained some guts we should proceed with finding your troops¨ Then having spoken so, he drew his weapon out off the ground and followed the Prince already moving back up the rock.
When there, side by side Xiao Fan and Wang Geming gazed into the world, trying to see where everything was and how should they proceed.
A few minutes later ¨You see anything?¨ Xiao Fan asked.
¨I think more people are seeing us than we are seeing them. At least a few figures have already spotted us, but the distances are too wide to see any insignia on them, though my robes with these golden lines might be a different thing¨ His tone saying this wasn't the most optimistic.
¨You fear that someone will target you? The other Princes?¨
¨Surely if the other Princes see the opportunity we see, they will try their hardest to win. In my opinion, this might as well become the event that decides the next Emperor¨ he spoke this with much more confidence in his words being correct.
¨That might be correct. This world is too precious of a place, and the Prince holding onto this land will even with our current information have a great advantage to be picked as the Heir¨ Both of them could see the value of this place too well.
¨But what is the key here...what is the key¨ Wang Geming didn't respond, he murmured this in a low tone.
¨The the only clue we have for this is the starting position of everyone¨ Xiao Fan spoke what he could think off.
¨Meaning?¨ The other person asked for clarification.
¨Can't you see, the people are on our sides, but not in front of us¨ He said this while pointing towards the areas where they had seen people wandering and then at the end pointed towards the direction where no one was in.
¨Ah! You mean that everyone has started at the sides...and the key might be found in the middle?¨ The Prince could unravel the meaning of his words a little.
¨Or at the corners. We didn't see what was behind us when we left¨ Xiao Fan noted the other half of his meaning¨
¨So we should continue towards the middle or run back and continue?¨
¨Indeed we should. I say we plan by the information that you have on our opposition and the clues that we can still gather from that hut and those books¨
¨Shall do¨ The Prince agreed and then jumped back down to the ground, Xiao Fan behind him, he walked back into the hut wherefrom he had just gone out off. Though now he was a new person, or at least Xiao Fan hoped so.
When they were inside the hut the two of them read some more books that didn't give much information as after the last piece of the world book had been read there was very little concerning the world and most other books seemed to be stories and not touching so much on anything helpful. Still, the last piece of this world had quite the amount of information regarding this world and its layout, making the two feel that they had a decisive advantage on everyone else.
¨With all this information I believe in venturing towards the middle is in our best interest¨ Xiao Fan after spending an hour or so skimming through these books that only Zhuan An would find interesting spoke.
¨With my cultivation no one will bring us much trouble, so I agree¨ The Prince now more confident in adventuring, and fighting decided that venturing for the big prize seemed to be something he wanted to do. No longer would he take the safe option.
¨Prince you are gaining some courage aren't you. I'm glad of this¨ Xiao Fan wanted to pat the Prince on the back like a good supportive character would do.
¨I shall make my own path¨ The Prince then told him when he was already getting out of the hut and navigating towards the middle.
Again, as Xiao Fan and Wang Geming made a move, everyone else in this world was also moving.
Du Lan had found herself joining a bigger group of cultivators that seemed to be under one of the Royals, a Princess. She had no qualms about this and keeping her identity a secret she had joined this group in which she would do her best to rise in the ranks.
Zhuan An was still, somewhere sulking about her loss, and so hadn't made any progress.
Qian Ki had become too focussed on killing off anyone weaker than the new her. By now, she had indeed realised that killing was a thing she could do if no one else were looking at her, and as everyone was in small groups currently, she was having a great harvest on the other side of the world.
However, the person in the, let's say, weirdest position was Fei Sun, who walked towards the edge instead of the middle like everyone else had when doing so come across people, people as in natives of this world. Both sides at the start were weirded out, but soon the native population had found Fei Sun to be a friendly, and so they took her into their tribe to show her off to the leaders.
The four of them weren't, of course, the only ones having events happen to them, and while some others were like Zhuan An simply remaining near their starting location some of them were finding and gaining their own advantages that made them realise the importance of this world just like Xiao Fan had a few hours earlier.
But thanks to Xiao Fan realising this a few hours earlier and having the best stuff so far would he and Wang Geming be the first one after travelling a day to find themselves in the middle of this world.
¨That thing might be something we shouldn't mess with¨ When there the Prince spoke, his words referring to the massive tower in front of them.
¨Prince courage, courage!¨ Xiao Fan reminded while also taking a look at the tower that seemed to be going all the way to the sky and beyond the clouds. Yet he, unlike the Prince, was very interested in this tower and what could it hold, plus adding into his interest was how the last piece of this word had told them of a tower in the very middle of this world, so this wasn't something that had been added here recently.
¨Then what about those guardians? They aren't exactly easy to destroy if you remember¨
Wang Geming and Xiao Fan had met these silvery guardians that were placed in important-looking positions and some seemingly at random, but nevertheless, they weren't something the Prince was fond fighting against.
¨Pfft. You can destroy these guardians in one hit, and even I can fight one of them¨ Xiao Fan didn't mind fighting these things. Sure they were hard to be entirely stopped as in they required almost total destruction, yet then again, usually there was no reward without needing to work for it, outside the Imperial Palace that is.
¨Fine, but only...¨ Wang Geming didn't get further in his sentence before Xiao Fan was already merrily charging towards the dozen or so silver guardians in front of the tower, not minding that alone he would be pummeled to death. However, now he had no worry, for the Prince shot past him like a missile and he even had the explosiveness of a missile seeing as the guardians in front of them were dismantled by the Prince quite quickly.
By the time, he got there only one of the guardians separated from the main fight and ran on its two stone legs towards him; these guardians had human figure yet also rocky features, which were making dents into the ground as it came.
Not faced by this rock monster or guardian; whatever, thought Xiao Fan as when it was close enough there was only fighting that needed to be done, and so he smacked the Rising Ruler into the joints in between the rocks in the hand of this guardian.
Fighting them before they had realised that these joints were much easier to cut through and so following this earlier realisation the rock monster didn't last long until it only had one joint anymore. This joint that was still intact was the one supposedly between the torso and the head, though that didn't last long before Xiao Fan cut off the joint.
¨Scary things¨ Wang Geming who had long ago having used more brutish tactics to dispose of the other guardians noted to Xiao Fan.
¨Not really, that swamp monster you keep near the Rising Fox Sect is much scarier¨
¨There is another one of those monsters in the swamp in the eastern province, again?¨
¨Yeah, and that monster almost killed my friend and me¨
¨Well, it is not close to my turf, so I can't do anything to that¨ Wang Geming could feel how much fun Xiao Fan must have had combatting that threat that loomed in that swamp, but to do something to it? Yeah, no, he would simply shrug his shoulders to that.
¨Forget it. Let's focus on this tower right in front of us¨ Xiao Fan didn't expect him to do anything; moreover, them now having eliminated all of the guardians guarding this tower did he want to see what they had been safekeeping here.
¨Right¨ Wang Geming having disposed all the immediate threats around them was fairing a little better as they walked to the silver doors of the tower.
Inspecting them and touching these doors for a moment Xiao Fan knew that they weren't anything to be worried, and so pushed the doors open.
Wang Geming was right behind him, his sword on point, ready if anything would jump out at them from the inside of the tower, yet when the door was opened, only a breeze hit their faces. There was nothing inside the tower they had come inside of, or so it was for now.
¨This seems interesting¨ Xiao Fan spoke.
¨Interesting indeed¨ Cao Cao also spoke while he searched every nook and cranny of the tower, finding everything this place was hiding, and after making a few of them disappear, he had come back saying this.
The things he had made disappear? Umm...they were things that Xiao Fan or anyone else didn't need to find, so he made them be gone.
'You want to tell me what this place is?' Xiao Fan was making thoughts to communicate while Wang Geming was also speaking to him; however, he was ignored.
Feeling this Wang Geming was confused, but thinking that Xiao Fan had entered some thinking state, he didn't pester him more and instead went to look at the things that this place had. Like a giant tablet on the silver wall.
¨This place is something nice for you for sure¨
'Can you be more specific?'
¨It will cost you¨
'How much?'
¨Let say a basic description of this tower will cost you...one year, yeah a single year ¨ Cao Cao offered to tell him stuff regarding this tower if he paid.
'Hah! I already know enough' Xiao Fan laughed inside his mind. To him, knowing that Cao Cao wanted him to pay for describing was enough for him to guess the scale of this tower.
