The future conflicts 1

¨Thank you for the information¨ Xiao Fan left Cao Cao's projection there while he himself waving his hand as a goodbye left towards the tower. He was finally free to do what he wanted again and oh boy was he wanting of good sleep.

Walking back into the tower, he didn't even think about all the events and information which had occurred or come to him today, for he just wanted to sleep, everything else was a secondary.

'Stupid me...' Meanwhile as Xiao Fan made his way back to the tower, Cao Cao the person he had left hanging there cursed at his mistake. It wasn't his fault nor even the want to be the God of Neutral Chaos, just after a few years of being said God had he realised that the occupation sucked more than the Godhood of Sucking.

'I Can't even think of such simple things' He might not like his Godhood, and was still rebelling against his own power, yet at the end of the day he was the God of Neutral Chaos, and there was no changing that.

'Well, no reason to stay here' Then without making any movement, literally, he with the power of his thought came back to his own palace that he had been for God... wait... Anyways, for a very long time.

¨Any news?¨ Coming out from a lounge chair to his feet, he asked the woman who handled the gathering of the news.

¨Not today. All the fronts are the same¨ The woman in question replied.

¨Anything from the Family?¨ Next on the priority list was this.

¨Yes¨ Only hearing this Cao Cao came a little more serious, the Family didn't send messages for no reason.

Then the more, she told the more interested Cao Cao became in the information 'So they have finally noticed?' They had finally noticed that the sky was changing, and how everything was changing with the sky 'The God of the Sky must have been having a nightmare or something' He reasoned why they had noticed so early. To him, there was no other reason why would his closest allies notice this so soon.

¨Has the God of the Sky revealed anything?¨ After the woman was done with the general information, Cao Cao asked for more specific answers.

¨No, the God of the Sky has only stated that whence the God of Malice comes back that everyone should gather for a meeting¨

'When the God of Malice comes back? Then it might as well be a secret for some time, that rascal will not be coming out of his hole for a time' To Cao Cao, the fact that this meeting needed God of Malice to begin meant two things. The most important one was that the report the God of the sky had was very serious, as they were. The second was that the meeting was in the distant future, seeing as the God of Malice rarely came to meet anyone. The God of Malice was the same as Cao Cao, in the way that he self-isolated so that his Godhood wouldn't make everyone want to kill him.

When everything concerning that matter had been gone over, he went to the last and most boring part of the news ¨Has anyone asked for a meeting with me?¨

¨You want the whole list?¨ The woman knew that Cao Cao hated meeting people.

¨No, Dong Xiaolian, I don't want the list.¨

¨In a bad mood?¨

¨Like you need to ask about it¨ After so much time so close to him Dong Xiaolian already knew how his moods were.

¨Then in the shortlist... no one¨

¨Good. You can go then¨ Having been informed of everything he needed to be aware of, he didn't waste time and let the woman named Dong Xiaolian go and do whatever she did, most likely his biddings, after all, she did have the rank of a Cardinal.

Even if she was of the rank Cardinal, Dong Xiaolian understanding everything didn't say nor move as a farewell to Cao Cao, she just took off the ground, flying into some direction.

'Time to spoil myself a little' Now alone, Cao Cao didn't waste a moment, he might be slow at doing his job, but wasting time wasn't in his book.

When everything was set up, Cao Cao gazed out of his palace's top balcony, watching, in his mind, the perfect world.

After so many years living and meticulously crafting, this place he lived in was at a beauty level that a person would rather spend his or her life here rather than in heaven.

It just might be that heaven wasn't good as this place.

Worlds down from that place, the place where Xiao Fan was, the man in question finally got into the wood shack that he and Zhuan An called home.

Opening the door there was one thought repeating in Xiao Fan's mind 'sleep, sleep' He had met Wang Geming, but even he had only gotten a ¨hi¨ before Xiao Fan walked past him and went towards his shack.

When opening the door, there was a sight that... didn't make him be any less interested in sleeping ¨Hi!¨ He didn't really note the existence of Zhuan An, who was enticingly lying on the bed that Xiao Fan was wanting to use for sleeping rather than anything she was offering.

'What the? Is there something wrong with him?' Zhuan An herself was a little shocked when Xiao Fan coming inside only said hi to her?

Then as he came over, she was like 'Okay? This might still work out' But again, her dreams were crushed as Xiao Fan coming to her, didn't jump to her arms.

His arms pushed her to the side?

¨Wait, Wait Wait¨ She noting him pushing her to the said and tried to struggle against this, yet Xiao Fan didn't seem to care as he used his cultivation to make himself enough space to lie on the bed.

¨Wait what?¨ The next words coming out of Xiao Fan's mouth were by the time he had his mouth against the bed's sheets.

¨You aren't up for it, big guy?¨ Her motives very quite clear to anyone, even to Xiao Fan.

¨No, not now. Let me sleep, please?¨ Sure he got the invitation and knew everything that he could get with it, but not now.

Zhuan An was about to ¨Hmph¨ but right before letting it come out, she realised that maybe now wasn't the best time 'He really looks tired. I can't be this selfish' She reasoned, and forgot about her own plans, even if she had used a lot of time to make everything just right 'I should look out for him!' Xiao Fan, might have given her some ideas how a wife should work, but she was too subservient by nature to not put him before herself.

¨Okay, get some sleep¨ So after a moment she responded with this and started to bag themselves under the blanket she had put to the side.

In another part of the Tomb of the Four Ancient ones.

¨Foreigner!¨ It was Du Lan, who was being shouted for.

¨What is it your Highness¨ Like always she responded to her new boss in the way she had been told to.

¨Now that we have found ourselves a base of operations and I have a thousand cultivators under me what should I do?¨ Of course, the person shouting for her was the young Princess, who liked the advice Du Lan gave her every time when asked.

¨Intensify the search for a way out of this place. And we should start looking for a stable food source. If we're going to be here for long, we need that before we are actually hungry¨

¨Intensify the search for a way out!¨ The Princess having heard her advice, immediately gave the order to dispatch more manpower to that ¨Would fishing do? We have a lot of that, and it isn't exactly a hard thing to do¨ She saying this got off from a throne, and then went over to the side of the building wherefrom she gazed into the ocean surrounding them.

¨Should do. Either build ships or simply fish from the side¨ Zhuan An having seen her hand signal to come close did so, and when she was a meter behind her, she took a look at the ocean.

¨Why ships? What for?¨ The young Princess happily looking into the ocean, stopped the staring to turn around to hear her explanation.

¨Wouldn't warships be useful to us? We can harness the seas and work from there. It isn't like we don't have harbour on the water on our hands¨ She laughed very subtly at the end.

Du Lan's sarcasm was noted by the Princess ¨That way we can also stay clear out of the fight going on land¨ She happily gave her own input into the strategy of becoming the number one naval power inside the Tomb of the Four Ancient Ones.

The Princess might be young, around fourteen, but she didn't lack ambition, and she liked big projects, and ships were big! 'It's so lucky that we found this place. Happy, happy' The Princess couldn't be more thrilled as she looked down from the edge of the highest point on this compound, seeing how below her there was a massive harbour on water.

¨Then shall we get to shipbuilding?¨ Du Lan asked for permission to start the production of naval vessels and everything that came with them.

¨Of course! Build a few smaller ships as testing then we'll make a big pride of the navy ship! And fill it to the brim with ballista and other cultivator killing weaponry! I'll see to this my self!¨ The Princess was really going to some gear of excitement that Du Lan hadn't seen before.

¨I shall gather everyone educated in anything related to this¨ Du Lan now having the permission, wanted to get the people she wanted onto this project.

A request which might or might not have been seen through by the Princess happily skipping over to the stairs leading out of this open throne room ¨You can do that. I'll go and see where is the best place to start building!¨ She wasn't acting very leader like; however, none disapproved or made remarks concerning this. After all, she was a capable, and wise leader, a little naive for sure, but the naivety made being around her much laxer.

With her in charge, there was no fear of being thrown aside or worse, and while it might make people not try as hard, they had more time to focus on tasks needing to be done since there was no warhammer hanging over their heads.

¨It will not take long!¨ She was already going down the stairs as Du Lan raising her voice spoke to her, who didn't respond.

Her leaving the room the mood there was so lax that the advisors and guards that had been here the whole time laughed about it a shortly before everyone got serious again.

Du Lan and Xiao Fan were moving up on the social ladder quickly, but while they did so, Qian Ki was moving up the martial ladder with the help of no one but herself and the ambitions she had.

She might have become a Body Strengthening Realm strong a month or so ago, just after reaching Jiankang; nevertheless, she was already ready with moving on to the Second Grade of said Realm.

The speed was tremendous, yet the amount of work and risks she had taken, especially at the end of her hunt had been just as massive.

'Everything is ready...' She marked.
