A Side Quest 3 [12]
♤the last chapter was updated so go read it D: oh yeah only half of this is from side quest and this is hella rushed sorry ♧
"So whatcha doing here" he asked
"Im but a guard" Ferris tried say
"Hmm? A guard you say, your not in your uniform"
"Uhh i forg-"
"Yeah lets stop this chit chat and fight me" the guard said with impatience
The other guard looked tired so he patted his partner's back.
"You'll deal with this I'm going home besides your weaker so have fun" the tired guard said with laziness
"Aww don't be like that bro!"
While the two guards were having a chat Ferris was already gone.

(Damm i gatta get out of here even if the other one was about to leave I'm in no position to go toe to toe with them) Ferris said to himself
He ran with his max speed while his stealth was active, he ran and ran like a cheetah chasing its prey but he was stopped
"Heya!"
"!!!"
Ferris was shocked, he thought he ran a good distance to get away from them but he already catched up to him in mere seconds, ferris increased his speed but it was a failed attempt since the guard just simply increased his speed to match his.
(dammit) he said to himself
He needed to fight but not just a normal fight but Ferris needed to play dirty. While he was running he quickly grabbed some dirt and threw it at the guard's face, with this he only had a few seconds to pull out his sword and attack him but this too has also failed.
"Nice try but it won't work on me"
(This guy! He won't leave but the fence is getting nearer this is my chance too get to a public area)
As soon as the fence was close enough he jumped like a frog and managed to escape. As he was still running the guard suddenly stopped at the fence. Why did he stop no why did he not use his max speed while we were running he had plenty of time he thought but he dismissed it.
(Why is he not following me? Whatever that doesn't matter now and i had my hood on so he didn't see my face but he surely heard how i sounded so i should stay away from him just in case if i see him)

He was back at the village and the man near the fountain was there aswell since he heard the news.
"Haah haah haah" Ferris panted like a dog
"Are you okay? What happened?" he asked
"Yeah I'm fine, but listen you and the village must get out of here" Ferris told him with urgency
"Ahhh actually we are already moving out. You see we don't want to be near that bastard noble ever again"
"Will your people be safe?" he asked
"I'm sorry but all I can say is thank you"
Ferris nodded and quickly left the village in haste to head back to the inn for a good sleep but while he was walking he was still thinking about why the guard didn't chase him all the way here. He was thinking hard but no valid answer popped up in his mind so he just gave up but he needed to always be on guard.

"Umm sir noble" the same guard asked
"What!? " the noble replied
"The villa... i mean the slaves they have escaped"
"WHAT!!!"
A normal person would've jumped from the bed by now but he didn't move an inch probably because he was lazy.
"Bbaaahh! Whatever I'm rich ill just buy more"
"I understand sir"
He quickly left the room and when he closed the door he formed a disgusted expression.
(What a pig, guess I have to quit and run away with my mate as far away as possible) he said to himself

The usual ding can be heard from his ear, he finally was done with his short one hour grind, after stepping out of the portal he jumped too the bed to rest. While he was laying in the bed he was still thinking about the guard who stopped chasing him but eventually he decided too forget about that and turned to a different problem.
(Skills... i need more skills.. yeah i can't just have stealth all the time even bronze C ranks have atleast a few skills)
While he was planning what skills he could buy he remembered his unfinished quest.
"huh I forgot about, ill just abandon it and say it was too hard to finish it"

The next morning he abandoned his quest and he was now standing infront of a huge library which was very grand looking as if it was supposed to be a castle for the king and queen but Ferris didn't have much time to waste and went inside, he saw endless rows and columns of large bookcases this scene alone can make you feel like your overwhelmed with knowledge.
"What skills should i buy?"
