The area around him instantly became pitch black and all he could see was his arms, suddenly a bright flash of light engulfed the entire place.
(where am I?)
He seemed to be located in an abandoned town, it was quiet... too quiet no birds or even animals can be heard, he went out in the streets and found nothing but the white snow falling and covering everything but something was off it wasn't cold at all.
He began inspecting the so called snow.
(this isn't snow, It's ash!)
There wasn't anything that was burning but the falling ash seemed like it was endless, he jumped to a tall bell tower and looked around the surrounding area, he could only see the endless grey cloud and destroyed houses.
(hmm I can't see any patch of land. All I can see are houses is this place just filled with houses or something?)
As he was looking off in the distance he heard a loud screech behind him, there was a giant grey bat coming at him with its unnaturally wide Jaws and sharp fangs.
"!!!"
He pulled out his sword and swiftly sliced it in half.

When he killed the giant bat a screen suddenly popped out in front of him.

(1000?! I have to kill 1000 of these guys?, I already levelled up by only killing one of them so thats a relief)
In the distance he heard more screeches, he turned around to see where the noise were coming from and what he saw was like something out of an alien movie, a swarm numbering about 100 of the same bat like monster he killed.
"you gatta be kidding me..." Ferris said with a worrisome voice.
He ran towards the nearest house to hide in since he can't handle all of those bat's by himself, when he went to hide the swarm fortunately passed him peacefully.
"phew..."
"!!!"
Suddenly again a large Grey bat monster with the body of an orc and long sharp claws spotted him and roared, the sound even vibrated throughout his body.
(this guy! He seems stronger than those flying bats, judging from his magical energy he is about the same level as an archdemon so I can take care of him)
He used dark slash to make quick work of him and it defienetly did its job well by slicing the monster cleanly in half

(wow this guy gives alot of exp, if I can keep killing these guys I might level up a lot, I just have to stay low and avoid large swarms)
He began his mission to kill as much of them as possible, since he was on the ground he got used to the chaotic landscape and hopping around houses.

(as expected I'm levelling up slower than before but that sudden huge jump in level was great, I feel myself stronger now)
He killed almost all of the monsters inside the area, actually he found a place were there was no houses but when he tried to exit the insanely and stupidly large town he bumped into an invisible wall that seemed to be unbreakable, its as if it was some sort of a barrier that stopped the player from exiting the play area.

While hunting all of the monsters he spotted a large castle in the middle of the large town. He began hopping on top of houses towards the giant castle. As he arrived infront of the outside gate he was greeted by countless severed heads in long spiky poles and a large main door that opened itself when he came near it.
A cold fog exited the interior of the castle, it was pitch black inside until the torches lit up by themselves reavelling a large throne room, the room looked like it was bigger than the entire castle itself and large pillars that were supporting the stone ceiling.
The one that was sitting at that tall and fancy looking throne was giving such an intense magical aura similar to that of a demon commander but a tad higher.
