High in the Sky [36]

The sound of foot steps echoed through out the massive interior of the castle, he walked in a giant circle thinking about something, he was under a giant glass dome on top, with four giant halls around the giant room he was in. He continued walking in circles in the middle, lost in his mind.

[Azazel..] A beautiful woman said in a graceful voice, probably a Servant of his. She possessed bat like wings behind her back, but it was placed lower just on upper part of her "behind". She wore a black dress that really revealed her body's proportions.

Azazel continued walking in circles, ignoring her calls as if she weren't there at all, still lost in thought. He didn't even saw her when he just passed her, he just continued his long circle.

[Azazel..] she said again, with a slightly higher volume but still graceful sounding.

The same thing happened not much different from the first attempt. little veins popped on her head, she took a deep breath to calm her self down, and another deep breath even more deeper than before.

[AZAZEL!] she shouted ungracefully, as the word echoed through out the castle. Some of the dust in the celing also fell when she shouted.

[Yes?, I never noticed you were there] he said without much of an expression, to him she just appeared out of nowhere.

She closed her eyes, likely to hide the fact that she just rolled her eyes by now, after all that. She then told him her report.

[we have searched for the treasury, but our expedition was futile]

[this is why i can't get my promotion, I can't be a commander forever besides I'm even stronger than most commanders and yet my superiors still say I'm just not cut up for it.]

He looked up at the glass dome, it was grand ofcourse, even the glass it self had atleast some sort of decorations, just sculpting the surface of the glass itself is hard, one wrong move and it's all ganna crack. He stared at it for a while, he then noticed something odd.

[Diane, what's the time] he suddenly asked out of nowhere.

[it's about lunch time, the sun should be right above us by now] she quickly answered without even using some sort of watch.

[why isn't it lit here?]

The entire room was not lit up by the sun, it's like it was being shaded by something, he then looked up again, he quenched his eyes at the vast sky looking for something. A small dot, just barely small enough to be seen by a very well trained eye.

[ I presume that's where the king keeps his well beloved treasures] he said happily

His smile slowly turned upside down when he realized that he couldn't get up there, the flying demons probably wouldn't be able to reach it because it was too high up. He walked backwards while observing the surrounding area of the large room. He walked backwards until he was right in the middle.

He then heard clicking sound, a pressure plate that he accidentally stepped on. It glowed a bright blue, then it spreaded out into lines, something like a circuit board design, the the lines covered the whole circular floor just under the dome. After that a large rumble came, the glass dome were suddenly opening. small rocks fell, it seemed like it wasn't used in a long time. The floor suddenly and slowly went higher and higher.

[oh.. How convenient] he said with with a new smile.

Somewhere far away from the kingdom Ferris and Sarya were seating in some broken log in the forest, the remaining survivors wasn't much, alot didn't make it out in time. The amount of survivors numbered only in a few hundreds instead of thousands.

"I haven't asked you this but, how's your life as being a hero now?" ferris asked.

"why ask that now? After all what happened ..... Fine.. Well I think im not the right person, yes I do feel the need to save the innocent but that's what any good person would do, what can a girl that only stayed in her town for the majority of her life do to stop entire countries from being desimated by the demons. " she answered in a stressed tone.

"he should be fine I think"

The S rank girl came down flying, she managed to heal Sieg from death itself, luckily the mage summon Ferris sent had atleast basic healing magic. The girl suddenly thought of something important, Ferris and Sarya noticed her changed expression.

"oh my.. I haven't told my name yet no?... It's Lily, I already know your names since I always heard your names being called out while in battle"

They then heard a rustle in a nearby bush, it became louder and louder and more intense, they prepared themselves for an ambush, but what came out was just Kai.

"you better come see this" Kai said , Sarya sent him to go back to the castle to scout, what could Kai have seen when he went to scout the caslte?
