Disguise [47]

Just right outside the castle's main gate, a mob of curious people is crying out to the king. They constantly asked where is the Hero as the guards struggled to push the mob away from overflowing the inner walls of the castle. Sarya was already gone for a few weeks now and she still hasn't shown up publicly.

"uugh this is all your fault Kaida" the king said

"she'll come back.... After she kills the so called demon king" she replied

The king just almost popped a vein when she said that, he took a deep breath once then quietly thought of a quick plan. If they found out that they just threw the Hero out with no protection or even giving them good equipment is bad enough, the king would be looked at an irresponsible person and that will probably remain even after the war ends, it would certainly ruin the country's image and the people.

(I'd execute you now if I wasn't good friends with your father Kaida) the king thought

He went deeper into his mind looking for an easy way to solve this case temporarily. A light bulb appeared on top of his head and suddenly spotted eureka.

"Alfred, may you please fetch me one of the Royal Knight officers"

"of course my king" Alfred answered

Kaida and the king waited and waited inside the room until they heard a knock on the door, the kings plan was fairly simple and easy and all he had to get was the full cooperation of the random Royal Knight. The door opened to reveal a woman that had snow like hair and topaz eyes, cladded with full decorated body armor. It seemed like the armor limited her movements but that wasn't the case, she moved like she wore pretty much nothing on.

"is there anything you need my lord" she said in a monotone voice.

Her face remained emotionless but that didn't stop her face from looking dangerously appealing, her movement and body language made it look like she was defenseless and asking to be taken but she's a Royal Knight and she is powerful for a frail looking girl.

The king got close to her ear and whispered something to he, Alfred stood there wondering what the king just said to her just know and save his for Kaida. The female knight nodded and both of them exited the room.

"Oh Alfred, Kaida you're free to follow us if you want too" the king said to both of them

"you really think that's ganna work your magesty?" the grand magician questioned

They went towards the room where the grand magician stayed. the king told him the plans but the mage had his doupts but he won't question the king's order of course, he is the king after all. With a swift lift of a single finger, the female knight was suddenly surrounded with light rings almost covering her entire body.

It worked, the female knight now looked like the exact copy of Sarya. Completed with looks, smell, clothes, etc. The female knight still kept her normal emotionless face even after transforming into some stranger she had never met before in her entire life.

The king got her to show up in a balcony right in front of the mob, the curious people finally calmed down after confirming that the hero is still there and eventually they all left peacefully. She was ordered to roam around the castle to get used to the new body, she only had one hour to do it since that's the duration she had with the body.

You can't do much inside a large castle with only one hour, just going from ground level to the tallest parts of the castle takes even longer than one hour, while walking she made an unexpected encounter with someone very important.

The vice captain of the Royal Knights just so happened to walk on the same hallway, he was young, had fine yellow hair and eyes that looked like the blue skies were directly taped on his eyes. Almost instantly when the young lad laid his eyes on the disguised female officer, he quickly grabbed her hands. He pretty much fell in love at first sight.

"umm.. Vice captain I thin-

"you're like a rose surrounded by the darkness"

"vice captain, I said yo-

"A rose like you shouldn't talk in monoto-

This is real life and not some fantasy romance novel, the female knight spoke loudly, clearly, and more seriously even in front of her vice captain. Right before he even finished his sentence she cut him off.

"Vice captain! You are misinformed! I am wearing a disguise spell so this isn't what I truly look like..." she informed him with clear intent
