"so hot~" the look out soldier exclaimed in sheer agony

It was noon, the sun was at its highest plus the sky was more blue than the ocean, no cloud formations could be seen anywhere. The metal armor they wore only made them suffer even more, they were like the foods inside a microwave, the sweat they excreted quickly evaporated due to the agonizing heat of the sun.

A capital is supposed to be the most populated city in a country, for a large Capital like the one in Aussi, the capital could be compared with a desert and no one could tell a difference between them. The streets were empty as if there was a Pandemic going on, not just the streets but even the houses themselves were empty, at first the whole capital was in panic after hearing the news, everyone straight up packed their important belongings and just left as fast as possible. Luckily for Aussi, since the country was comparable with the size of Russia, the millions of people had plenty of space to live at since unlike Russia which most of its land being uninhabited, the majority of Aussi had alot of room to spare.

Millions you ask? How did millions of people get out of the capital in such a short amount of time. Actually, it's been two weeks already and no signs of demons was to be seen. The king's subordinates thought the king was being too paranoid but his generals understood why he was paranoid, after the small bombing made by the demon dragons, nothing much happened, during that time the people got out of the capital while more soldiers from other cities gathered.

Ten thousand to twenty thousand, twenty thousand to fifty thousand and finally, fifty thousand to a hundred thousand men. Was it overkill? I guess so since Aussi had way more than a hundred thousand but a hundred thousand is quite enough. Most of the guild's adventures and employees went away to another guild house of their own brand while the top guilds of Aussi stayed behind with their top adventurers.

-knock, knock-

Ferris heard a person knocking on the door, today is different for him since Charlotte wasn't there to keep an eye on him. He slowly got up from his bed and opened the door expecting Charlotte but once he opened the door, the only person to be seen is a single guard holding a long pike. The guard seemed to carry a blank face, it seemed like he was carrying a message in his mouth.

"your free to go, king's orders" he delivered with the most monotone voice in the entire world

"im free to go?!" Ferris abruptly replied

"haah.. yes.. you heard me" the guard answered while both not even bothering to make eye contact

Ferris quickly passed him without taking his belongings, if he actually had any. During his temporary stay at the castle, he nearly memorized all the interior of the castle, with this knowledge it didn't took him thirty minutes to traverse through the maze like castle. While walking along a massive hall way he encountered the princess, Ferris didn't really bother to have a chat with her so the princess took the initiative.

"wait.. I heard your leaving"

"yes, i am... what do you need?"

"no.. It's just that I always get deja vu everytime I see your face, it's like seeing a well known friend but I can't really remember you"

"hehe.. that's the eighth time you said that, anyways have a good day"

"you too, but I'm not sure I'd get to see you again"

"since this will probably be the last time we'll meet I have an advice for you... you really should get a man to protect you" Ferris said as we walked backwards so he could face her while saying that

For a moment the princess knew what he meant when he said, get a man to protect you but she still couldn't figure out why she understood the advice that Ferris told her. Nonetheless she was a bit flustered. Ferris continued on towards the exit and met another faithful encounter, but this time it was Charlotte.

"oh.. Your leaving?" Charlotte asked

"yeah"

"oh... good luck then (good luck for what?! Why did I say that?!)"

Over the last couple of weeks the two made a small connection between them, even if you have a friend that's been with you since childhood, things could still be awkward even if you know your friend well. The two went for an awkward small talk, after a few minutes of awkwardness they finally passed each other after saying anything they wanted to say.

(this couple of weeks has been interesting) Ferris thought

Ferris completed his mission to not die by proving his innocence, he also visited his past home which is now covered with nature. He already checked the orphanage throughly so he didn't have much to do if he goes back, pretty much nothing but one thing was floating in his head. The idea of exploring the world still stayed in his head even after dying, with the system he could live without buying anything so he could technically navigate the whole world without spending a dime, maybe except for transportation and a place to sleep.

(im coming for you world..) he thought as he slowly approached the main entrance/Exit of the castle
