Wrong side [87]

-hack-and-slash-

The horde is endless, kill one and two more will come. Seiga was strong, three hours of pure slaughtering and he might just kill every single demon invading the capital. He was separated from his platoon, however that was normal for him, he had immense trust in their own safety.

Minutes passed and the horde was still dumb enough to keep pushing as Seiga kept getting better at doing the same thing, aside from a giant demon mage or something that has a lion head or some sort, most of the demons he was mass killing we're the ones you usually see.

(come on... you guys aren't dumb enough for this... "!?")

A bright light emerged from the skies, it was similar to the one that wiped the majority of the demons when they first came. His body instinctively hopped on top of a demons head and jumped from it towards a building and proceeded to hang on a ledge using a very small gripping spot, giving him time to gaze upon the light in the sky.

He saw hundreds of magical presence fading as if they all died, soon after noticing, he then saw hundreds of black dots getting bigger. It wasn't clear but he could see a dragon and other small objects but then he noticed something, with quick thinking he smashed the building windows and proceeded to go inside for shelter.

The demons went towards him but they couldn't go inside because Seiga was on the upper floors while demons were at the streets, the demons now began to pile up at the side of the building as they kept getting on top of each other in other to reach Seiga. Arrogance kills, this happened with the unlucky horde only focusing on Seiga. It was too late, as Seiga saw a black object falling.

-boom-

The demons exploded, judging by the limbs flying everywhere it surely killed them all. The fire from the explosion even went inside the building Seiga was in but even if he was engulfed in flames, he walked it off as if it didn't affect him one bit. The heat evaporated his sweat which wasn't to bad, his hair survived though.

The odor was dreadful, but it's better than going through a horde of demons for hours on end. Not only that but dragons fell from the skies and in hordes as well. Just like the bomb dropped on the demons, hundreds of bombs has been dropped as well, creating deafening explosions that was covered with even more deafening explosions, it was pretty much a ww2 bombing run but on steroids.

"being a mage must be nice..." he mumbled

***

"haah"

The staff smoked as if it was over heated and the blue crystals it held fell on the ground like empty ammo casings, even if she did one shot every dragon in the skies, some of the bombs survived and fell on the ground wrecking havoc. But destroying something that's already destroyed is impossible, atleast that's the somewhat good part of it.

The cat fell on her knees while using her staff as a pole to keep her face from slamming the stone ground if she were to fall. It seems that this was her limit judging by how exhausted she looked like, her breathing was ragged and if you look close enough her muscles twitched as if it was independent from her body.

"h-healer" the cat girl requested

"right of course" a healer answered

The amount of people that was a healer in the area was unprecedented, for ten or more high ranking healers to aid a single mage was a sight to behold. Even if they did heal her completely, her body was gradually being broken apart like the more you use a pencil, it's affectiveness becomes lower and if you sharpen it, the pencil will become shorter, and there is a limit to how far you can do that.

"oh! The raid team! They're back!"

"is everything alright?!" the female knight asked

"of course not! Now go send the raid member to kill some demons"

"right but can you keep an eye on this man"

Without hesitation, she gave her Ferris as if he was simply a luggage butfFor Ferris, this was his perfect chance to escape from the raid teams sight. Being with only healers is great since they aren't as experienced in combat, just a simple use of the stealth skill would be just be enough to dodge their sights. Even more lucky for Ferris, they placed him on a mat that's far away from all of the healers.

In an instant he opened and closed his eyes, which gave him still pictures to look at. He did this multiple times in quick succession, he checked again, and agian till the right moment came. All of them are now focused on a mage cat girl but Ferris didn't bother to figure out who she was.

(stealth)

{stealth activated}

As he looked at the distracted healers to make sure they aren't looking, he took quick steps backwards so he could fall towards the ground successfully escaping.

The capital walls were tall which gave him enough time to pick a shadow to land on without breaking his legs. But the karma of escaping stabbed him in the back as he noticed where he was falling towards. Just a few steps in the opposite direction and this problem wouldn't be so much of a problem, if he atleast checked where he was falling to, this problem wouldn't even happen in the first place.

...

...

"damn... I fell in the wrong side"

The ground beneath him was the capital itself instead of the outside, shadows were everywhere so safely falling down was a guarantee and that's where the good things end. Maybe grinding for a while might be nice and all but that option is already fullfilled using grind tickets and scaling back towards the top of the wall was too late to be accomplished.

In mere seconds he went inside the shadow as if it was water, there wasn't any giant splashes you'd see when belly flopping on a body of water nor there was any sounds heard. Just a few seconds after that he popped out safely, and just another few seconds after that a demon already came rushing in for a deadly hug using its claws, however it wasn't much of a threat.

-stab-

{you leveled up!}

For a split second Ferris didn't recognize that tone, but his brain quickly catched up as that tone was the usual ding he always heard when levelling up.
