She set aside her thoughts first and finished her shower.
She got out and sees Edward sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Your turn." she tells him.
Edward wordlessly gets up still naked to go to the bathroom.
She turns away from the sight of him and heaves a sigh of relief as soon as he closes the door to the bathroom.
She decides to change into a different dress from the one Edward peeled away from her earlier.
She's already finished dressing and she is fixing her hair when she hears her cellphone ringing and sees that it's Toma calling.
As soon as she answers it, she tells him..."He's here." she says in a weary voice.
"I don't know how but we got married yesterday and I am so confused right now!" she says in a hushed tone.
"Why did he have to come back now? After all these years, why now?" she says trying to control her tears from falling.
She was so engrossed in their conversation that she didn't hear him get out of the bathroom and is now dressing up.
"No! You don't have to come here! I'm okay! I will be okay! I promise I'll do what you said!"
Edward is trying his best not to eavesdrop on their conversation but he is dying of curiosity as to who Dale's caller is.
Trying to ignore his niggling feeling that it is the guy who called her last night.
"Who is he anyway? Is he Dale's boyfriend? But her father told me that she never had a relationship with anyone since coming to Japan! So, who is he and what is their relationship?" he asks himself.
He finished dressing.
He couldn't voice out the questions that are running through his mind.
"Okay bye!" she ends the call.
She then notices that Edward is already dressed up and ready to go.
"Did he perhaps hear her conversation with Toma?" she asks herself.
She takes a glimpse of him and she can't read what he is thinking.
"Maybe he didn't hear anything!" she tries to convince herself.
She takes one last look at herself in the mirror and stands up.
"Let's go!" she prompts him as she walks to the door.
He followed her and closes the door of their bedroom.
She's already walking down the stairs when he catches up to her.
He sidles up next to her.
Trying to match the pace of her walk.
He badly wants to hold her hand but he's afraid she'll cringe from his touch.
"Can I hold your hand?" he suddenly blurts out.
He couldn't read her reaction but she answers him... "No need! We don't have an audience anyway!"
