Chapter 73

Looking out into their mansion's terrace, Edward never imagined that he would feel this complete contentment and happiness.

And all because of the woman who is in his arms right now.

Her broken heart that had so much love and forgiveness in it.

He unconsciously pulled her tighter in his embrace.

He admits to being resentful at first when she insisted on him forgiving his family for what they did to him.

But she reasons that she was able to forgive him for what he did so he should be able to forgive them too.

She asked him to forgive them for himself so he can have peace in his mind and heart too.

And now that he and his family have been able to talk about things, he is glad that Dale made it possible.

Edward feels a lightness in his heart now that he has forgiven his family.

His parents insisted that they stay for the night since it is already late.

His room is still in its previous condition when he left.

He can feel Dale lean her head closer to him.

"Thank you for doing this my love!" he whispered.

She just smiles at him.

He noticed that she looks tired so he carried her into his arms.

Dale squeals in surprise.

"What are you doing my heart?"

"Carrying you because you look tired my love." Edward responds as he led her into his room.

He carefully laid her down on his bed.

"Not too tired to explore your old room." she says teasing him.

And so they decided to explore his old room.

Months passed and Dale's pregnancy seems to be going smoothly.

Every Sunday they have family dinner with the Barber's.

While Saturday is reserved for Dale's parents.

Kevin decided to turn over his company to Quen and Edward's capable hands because he says that he plans to enjoy being a grandpa to his grandchildren.

He also plans to go on a cruise with Catelyn.

But Catelyn insisted that they would only do so after Dale gives birth to the twins.

Curiously, Toma fell in love at first sight when Dale introduced Jinnie to him when he arrived to check on Dale's heart.

After months of relentlessly pursuing her, they are now engaged.

Engaged because Toma doesn't want to waste any more time on being boyfriend and girlfriend and Jinnie agreed.

They're here in Elisse and Carlos' fourth child's first birthday.

It's a late celebration actually because a lot of the guests are unavailable on weekdays so they decided to celebrate it on a Saturday.

She can't wait to celebrate her own children's first birthday.

She looks at Edward and sees him looking at her.

"I can't wait to celebrate the twins first birthday party!" Edward exclaims.

Dale laughs because he seems to have read what's on her mind.

He lovingly rubs her very round belly.

She suddenly feels a sharp pain in her lower back.

"Edward..." she held his hand tightly before losing consciousness.
