After coming back to the war in France, the soldiers there started hoping once more.
The soldiers didn't know but Alfie and James were lucky and dodged a deep punishment early on.
Not even Alfie or James knew.
General Eisenhower had to talk some people into not punishing Alfie for leaving his post and being a deserter.
He and James broke a military law and could have been martialed for such actions, but luckily for the two they didn't face such experiences when they spoke to the Commanders.
Instead they spoke of their plans so far and how they are gonna take back Rennes and move forward before telling Alfie where he was gonna be positioned.
Alfie may have learned some strategy in his past studies but he can't help but admit that Eisenhower and the other Commanders were coming up with flawless tactics against the new power HYDRA.
Eisenhower was leading with the strategies but even the Commanders weren't shy to speak up of any mistakes or holes in the plan.
Even Alfie advised on a few plans but he was still learning from this group, he realized how flawless a plan could be if smart minds strategize together.
The plan they have it out is to have a standoff with the few armies of HYDRA while Alfie takes point on a blind side.
The fight between the Allies could go either way, but mostly weighing for HYDRA, but once Alfie and his company advance on their side it would give the Allies a chance and attack on the front and side.
As they planned forward Alfie was able to confirm that the operation was set to glorify him, Deathstroke.
The way he will lead his men and attack from the rear and split the attention of the enemy will surely give them a chance.
Alfie saw his company of hundred plus men again, they weren't happy for the fact that Alfie and James went on alone and made a name for themselves.
Rolo and Jonjon wouldn't leave him alone with all their endless questions.
They took a day of rest before getting ready the next day.
For more than 70 miles away from base, Alfie and his company of hundred plus men rode out to the far left.
Their first mission was Rennes, it was a mission to assist.
As they all stood by ready, they do whatever it is they do before a battle, pray, panic, acception, and excitement.
During night Alfie set up his best snipers in high points, and the first to go would be the close combatants, preferably the knife experts to catch the HYDRA soldiers off guard on the rear, after that would be everyone else while the long ranges cover.
Alfie was fully geared up, while James on the side only had his plated armour but his mask, he didn't like it much.
He stood with Alfie, and other core members such as Jonjon, Rolo, and his old infiltration team such as Benny, Ronny, Jimmy, and William.
Now James was known to be Alfie's best man, for the very reason that Alfie brought him along on their short but adventurous journey.
The very man who is now smoking a cigar would be seen as Alfie's own Bucky by the future generations.
And the left hand Wolf, Luna, who is sitting on top of the jeep hood.
This mission will be the start of many chains of assists, and it will be tiring, but what war isn't tiring, yet some are only filled with excitement.
There wasn't much to tell in this operation, before the sun rises Alfie gave the go and they silently proceed to the enemy lines with the hopes to fuck them up.
And it went well, the small hundred men in the company were able to have their time in the field with little casualties.
When the main forces on the friendly line realized that the enemy are losing more fire over time they took the chance and stormed the enemy camps.
It was there that they saw how Alfie and his men handled things, those scenes definitely lit a fire in their hearts, more motivated than ever and would go on to take back France.
A few risky Journalists who work for the Marge were brave enough to run in the midst of the U.S. soldiers and film as much as he can.
That man was lucky enough to capture a few moments of Alfie, James and Luna doing their things.
Those videos would be unreal and legendary, those clips are the very proof that the name, Deathstroke, is not a myth or a made up story in times of hardiness.
The Wolf of America strikes again.
After that victorious battle in Fort Rennes, Alfie and his company, who went on to call themselves, Wardogs, have moved forward to take back Fort Nantes by themselves, this time with the permission of the Commanders.
Fort Nantes was easier this time to take back, not only because the Wardogs were equipped with HYDRA weapons but Alfie learned more about real strategy and commanding from watching Eisenhower and the other Commanders.
After stabilizing the U.S. lines against the HYDRA, General Eisenhower sent the Wardogs across the lines of France to help the Allies in other zones.
And they got more popular as they went on.
Along the way Alfie and his Wardogs destroyed two of the HYDRA's manufacturing factories and got rid of HYDRA's weapon supplies.
It definitely made things easier, and from then on France became easier to take back.
But as the Allies took back more than 2/3rd of France and was sen to be a guaranteed win, Alfie made a request for him and his team to head for Germany, more specifically Berlin.
General Eisenhower didn't give his answer immediately, but after some time he allowed tem to.
Hitler may have been a big pain in the ass for the Allies in the past but now he wasn't much anymore, the real enemy of the Allies is Johann Schmidt.
And if Alfie and his Wardogs were to take Germany and kill Hitler, it might be a plus for their already highly moraled soldiers and citizens.
Alfie wasn't sure when Hitler died in his past world, but where he is now Hitler is still alive trying to get back his power from HYDRA.
As the year 1944 was coming to an end, Alfie and the Wardogs sneaked through the enemy lines and headed for Germany.
Reaching their destination they realized it was heavily fortified, but it didn't matter Alfie was still gonna achieve one of his goals, kill Hitler himself.
Yet it didn't go as he thought it would.
As the Company rounded up the whole house and silently made their way in before it got loud, Hitler ran, Alfie was not willing to let him get away.
But during his small chase a gunshot went off on the automobile Hitler was on, not one but three.
Alfie caught up and saw that not only did Hitler kill himself but he also did away with his spouse and an officer.
That month Alfie was leaking with bad mood, no one ever saw him like that.
He spent his time in the battlefield than anywhere else, his men thought he would get worse but that wasn't the case.
Alfie soon came to his real self and led his team to more group missions.
As Winter came at the end of the year, Alfie got a call from Peggy, something he asked her to do when they had a lead on Arnim Zola.
Alfie will get a chance to slap the short man for shooting him in the face and save his friend Bucky from dying and making more mistakes than he could realize.
Better for himself, Howard and Stark...less problems for the Avengers in the future.
At this point HYDRA was out of France, at least the ones in plain sight, but the Allies are still having small scale wars and investigating small zones for any HYDRA remains and items that could indicate one being HYDRA.
Throughout the Wardogs exploits Alfie would hear the saying, "Cut off one head, two more shall take its place."
Alfie smirked at that, the fact that he had a sword made the saying perfect to him, but he has comebacks for such sayings.
Because he would usually answer back with other ways to kill a regenerating immortal Hydra, like freezing it completely before destroying it, burning it, or just tying it down.
And the answers made the HYDRA officers have the looks of surprise, not expecting Alfie to answer that way.
So now that France could easily be handled by the Allies here, Alfie went to his General in Command and put in a request.
"You wish to go back to Italy?!" Eisenhower asked as he munched on a sandwich.
"Yeah, Captain Steven Rogers and his men found a lead on Johann's lead scientist, I have business with the man." Alfie said.
"Well at least you're asking this time instead of running off on your own, you have no idea how much trouble I could have been, agh." Eisenhower voiced in disgust as he turned around to feed Axel who was behind him on the ground.
The two have gotten close ever since Alfie left him be tended by Eisenhower.
"He seemed stuck on you…"
"Well I've been the only one feeding him for the past few months, of course he should." Eisenhower said as a matter of factly.
"Captain America huh? I heard he's been doing good work lately."
"Yup, he is my friend, haha."
"Yes, how can I forget it when you say that every time the topic of Captain America comes up." Eisenhower said.
"Well I can't help it…"
"I will only bring a few from my company, I won't be for long…" Alfie said.
Alfie has been doing his best to behave and not follow what his mind is saying, because it would lead to harsh decisions by the military.
An uncontrollable asset isn't an asset.
By the end of the day Alfie was ready and gathered up his men to announce the news.
He then called a few handfuls of the Wardogs that would be going with him, of course James was going even if he didn't say his name.
But other than James there is Rolo, Jonjon, Jimmy, Benny, Wilana, Ronny, Dave, and William.
It was mostly the known Wardogs and ones who were mostly leaders, so taking them would leave the rest of the company leaderless, but there was no need for the Wardogs these days to fully go on battle.
On the next night, the ten of them boarded the small plane and headed for Italy.
There will be a team up for the Wardogs and Howling Commandos.
Luna was whimpering as she never liked being on air away from the ground, but she wasn't willing to leave Alfie, she even left Axel with Eisenhower again considering how overprotective mother wolves are to their cubs.
By the time they were at the Italian airport, a military bus came to pick them up before they headed to the main base in Italy.
There was quite a stir of commotion from their arrival, the fact that the Wardogs came to the Howling Commandos to have a team up was inspiring.
Two great groups led by two inspirational men, Legendary men who have tilted the very scales of this global war.
Before they can walk out of the bus, Steve and Bucky were already waiting near for Alfie's exit.
Alfie walked out with James and Luna besides him while the rest of the Wardogs stood behind looking around.
Alfie stood face to face with Steve and Bucky.
Steve stood there with Bucky smiling nodding their heads, but Alfie wasn't smiling, it was quiet until he burst out of laughter hugging the two in a bear hug.
"Hello Captain Rogers, you don't mind if I call you that right?" Alfie joked.
"Oh stop it, how have you been?!"
Alfie, Steve, Bucky, an James did some catch ups and reminisced before Alfie introduced Steve to everyone else.
Steve remembered Rolo and Jonjon as they met more than a few times in New York.
It didn't take long for the few psychos in the back to get formal with Steve and get comfortable.
Steve was glad the newbies were at least looking comfortable, but with a glare of Alfie's they would tone it down a bit.
Sixty percent of the Howling Commandos time is spent having fun in places like the bars and such, which is something the Wardogs also do sometimes.
Bucky point to the direction of the nearest bar and helped the Wardogs go have some time off as Alfie and Steve have a strategic talk.
