YEE-HAW

(Back At The Hostess Club)

[Enemies defeated you have now become stronger. Powers can now last an additional 30 minutes.]

Zoey wasn't listening to Sky at all. She was breathing heavily and her hands were splotched with blood. She walked back over to Katherine who still sat with her ears covered and shivering.

While she was sitting on the couch trying to contain herself, Katherine could feel a presence approach her. She gradually opened her eyes only to find herself staring at Zoey's legs.

Once she saw who it was Katherine took her hands off her ears and quickly arched her head up to look Zoey in the eyes.

"*GASP*" Katherine let out an audible gasp. Something was clearly wrong with Zoey.

Her irises had grown small and dull. Her breath was ragged and heavy. Her bloody hands were twitching and trembling nonstop.

Zoey's heartbeat was so loud and fast that she could hear it thumping inside her skull. Zoey slowly raised her quivering her hand in front of her face. She stared at the blood-covered hand with confusion and fear.

"*haah* Wh-what just happened? H-how, how did I lose control like that? I planned to cripple him in every way possible, which is already harsh, but I definitely went overboard.*haah* God, what's wrong with me? I-I'm a monster!" Zoey shuddered to herself.

[Miss Zoey please compose yourself!]

"I, I *UGH*-, " Zoey tried to bring herself back to reality but suddenly she had a piercing headache. Her heartbeat slowed down but its sound still echoed throughout her head. This was accompanied by a shrill ringing in her ear.

Zoey shook her head and pressed her hands hard into her ears. She couldn't focus on anything, not even Sky. Then just as the shrill sound seemed like it would never stop.

"-ey, " Katherine's voice seemed to slightly cut through the ringing. When Zoey heard Katherine she finally started to calm down. After a few minutes, the ringing finally subsided and Zoey could take her hands off ears.

"Zoey, are you okay?" Katherine's voice was finally able to reach Zoey's ears. Zoey looked over at the flushed and trembling girl. She massaged her temples and before looking at Katherine with a smile.

She nodded and lied through her teeth, " Yeah, I think all those guns going off gave me a headache." Zoey didn't know the cause of her headaches, but if she let on that she almost had a mental breakdown and a crippling headache it wouldn't be the most calming thing to say to Katherine.

Katherine could see the light return to Zoey's eyes and she seemed to go back to normal so she didn't want to question her any further and nodded in reply.

Zoey stood up straight and put her hand out to Katherine. "Well, we should-,"

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK* Before Zoey could finish a knock came from the door. Then a voice announced, " Sir, my boss just wanted to confirm that you've found everything all right."

Katherine held her breath and Zoey clicked her tongue in annoyance. *KNOCK KNOCK* "Sir?" The voice asked and knocked on the door again.

After another minute of silence, the voice exclaimed, " Sir I'm coming in!" The handle of the door turned slowly and a man walked in.

*GASP* He gasped at the scene of horror in front of him. His face turned white and he had trouble standing up straight. In a hurry, he grabbed a radio that was attached to his hip and spoke erratically into it, "*hAh Haah Hah* S-somebody h-help! God, I, I think they're all dead! *HURK GAG* Police, ambulances, just send them all! To the fourth floor room 409! Please, it's a horrible- *ACK*" *CLATTER CRACK*

The man was caught by surprise when an arm wrapped around his throat and squeezed it tight. He dropped his radio during the struggle as he clawed at his attacker's arm. Soon enough, he found himself gasping for air and his eyes turned white.

He was finally let go by Zoey or his attacker leaving him unconscious on the floor. Zoey sighed, " Well at least I don't have to call an ambulance now, " and walked back over to Katherine who once again sat silently in fear. Zoey grabbed her hand and said, " We gotta go, now!"

Zoey then pulled her up only for Katherine to collapse onto her knees. Zoey turned and kneeled down to Katherine. "Woah, are you okay?" Zoey asked.

Katherine looked up at Zoey's eyes brimming with tears and a slightly quivering lip. Anyone who saw her would feel an overwhelming urge to protect her. "My legs, they won't work." She whimpered.

"Woah!" Katherine exclaimed as she was suddenly lifted up by Zoey. "Oh, is that all? Then I'll just have to carry you, my princess." Zoey said.

Katherine blushed at this and buried her face into Zoey's chest. Zoey chuckled at the cute girl's shyness and walked out the door. She began to walk down the hall when a voice behind her shouted, " HEY!"

Zoey turned around to see a few employees of the club, security guards, and a few police officers. Most of them carried tasers but some of the police officers had guns which they had their hands on ready to draw and fire.

Zoey could survive a bullet but she had Katherine in her arms and they both would have been arrested so her only option...RUN.

She whispered to Katherine, " Hold on tight kay'?" Katherine nodded and gripped Zoey's clothes right. Once Katherine confirmed to hold on, Zoey took off running down the hall.

"HEY! STOP!" A police officer shouted. Accordingly, the group then ran after Zoey.

Zoey kept making sharp turns down windowed hallways with the thudding footsteps behind her. Zoey was annoyed, while she could and wanted to go faster Katherine probably wouldn't be able to hold on. And while she could also grip Katherine tighter there was a large risk of her accidentally breaking a bone or receiving some other injury.

Besides, she needed a good workout and some training anyways.

Zoey kept going down hallways until she was finally met with a door that read STAIRS in big red letters.

She quickly kicked in the door and began to run down the stairs. But she stopped and said to herself, " To slow!"

She stared at the railing of the stairs and smiled. She heard the footsteps closing in and just as they were about to run down the stairs, Zoey hopped over the railing onto the bottom staircase with a loud *BAM*.

She did this again and again until she had gone all the way to the second floor. When she was about to jump the railing again she heard another stampede of footsteps running up the stairs below her.

" Shit." Zoey cursed under her breath. As footsteps from the mob upstairs close in too. Zoey looked to the right and noticed another door that said 'SECOND FLOOR' in another display of big red letters.

Zoey charged toward that door and kicked it in as well. She found herself in another hallway and she began running down it. But stopped when another mob came from the end of the hallway.

Zoey stopped in her tracks and immediately turned down another hall right next to her. But as soon as she was halfway down that hall, a group of police officers arrived at the end of it. "FREEZE!" One police officer shouted out.

They all had their guns out and another one shouted, " DON'T SHOOT HE'S GOTTA HOSTAGE!" They all lowered their guns slightly with frustrated and serious looks.

Zoey rolled her eyes and said to herself, " Welp, I didn't want to do this but I guess I have no choice now." She then whispered to Katherine, who kept her face buried in Zoey's chest, " Katherine, listen to me. I want you to close your eyes and hold on to me as tight you possibly can, okay?"

Katherine nodded and tightened her grip on Zoey's clothes so hard that her fists were trembling. Once Katherine confirmed Zoey wrapped one arm around Katherine's head, turned back to the way she came, which was also surrounded by police, and took off running.

"FREEZE!" A police officer shouted, "DON'T SHOOT!" another shouted and the rest of the mob wavered, but Zoey kept running, and just as she was out to collide with the mob she put a lot of strength into her legs and jumped, putting her knees to her chest. She soared over the mob and headed straight for the window.

*CRASH* Zoey went right through the window sending shards of glass everywhere.

Zoey looked down, the window had been facing an alley so she was looking at about an eight-meter drop onto solid concrete. But since Zoey had gotten stronger and she had a massive amount of adrenaline coursing through her body, she wasn't scared.

In fact, she had a smile on her face and inadvertently shouted out an excited, "YEEEE-HAAAAW!"

Katherine however, who was already terrified at the police being around was petrified at the sound of glass shattering. But when she felt as if she outside and the direction of the wind making it as of she was falling made her realize what was happening around her.

So she let out a terrified, " *AAAAAHHHHH*" as the two plummeted toward the ground.
