Fighting Drop Dew Saper 2/2

Aiden examined his surroundings only to see Barkless Cone trees, grass, and dirt. He could not find anything useful to help him fight.

He decided in haste that it was not worth the time to look for something. Instead, he will aim for its weak spot. His health was dropping, and he did not want to waste any more time.

'Since it is sleeping, then I might as well ambush it." He felt unsafe doing such a thing, but he was with left little option.

He carefully moved towards the sleeping Drop Dew Saper. When he got close, he stabbed his fingers into its weak spot, its eyes, thus blinding it.

The Drop Dew Saper had no mouth to scream, but it squirmed like crazy, whipping its vine-like arms around in the hope of setting itself free.

It managed to swipe Aiden's chest, and he could see that his health drop by one, leaving him with only three points of health left.

He was fighting against his instinct from fear of death. Instead of backing away, he continued to drive his fingers deeper and deeper into the Drop Dew Saper's eyes socket. He stepped on its arms to stop it from thrashing around, but at times its arms will slip-free and whip him.

As the Drop Dew Saper health quickly drops, it was chipping away at Aiden's remaining health.

A swipe quickly landed on Aiden's face leaving a shallow wound.

Then another one to his right side, leaving him with one more health before death.

"Dammit, Dammit, Dammit!" He gouged its eyes faster and faster as he watched it squirmed for its life.

With one more hit away from death, he forced himself not to retreat no matter what. Because if he did, he would die when the monster regained its posture and then hit him or by the waste disease.

"Just die already!" As he got closer to death, he got more vicious.

The Drop Dew Saper whipped out its arm, but just before it could hit Aiden, it shriveled up.

Aiden had done it. He killed it.

On the grass floor, a transparent sphere glittered underneath the golden sun. He plucked it from the head of the dead Drop Dew Saper and put it in his mouth.

Sparkling Healing Dew consumed.

Recovered 1 point of health.

Recovered 1 point of mana.

"Awesome! I didn't expect to find a healing dew that can recover mana so quickly. I think the drop rate for it is 5%. With that, I have enough mana to use a skill."

Aiden thought he had to wait till nightfall to recover his mana since when night falls, a giant blue moon appeared, which allow the regeneration of mana to happen naturally.

However, when he found a Sparking Healing Dew, he felt less pressure.

If he had to fight another Drop Dew Saper like the way he just did, he was not confident he would make it out alive.

Aiden wanted to rest, but he could not. The waste disease debuff was still in effect, and he needed as much healing dew as he can.

He went looking for another Drop Dew Saper to hunt. He spotted some, but most were in a group of two or three. There was one group with at least a dozen hanging around a tree.

He avoided all of them to look for Drop Dew Saper by itself.

Then he spotted one alone playing by itself.

After a minute of waiting, he deemed it safe to attack it.

He debated to either used the Red Tattoo of Attack since it last longer, but he needed to get close to do damage.

Or he could use the White Tattoo of Magic for unlimited range attack for 5 minutes, but each attack had a delay between launch and was weak.

In the end, he went with the riskier option, the Red Tattoo of Attack. He couldn't persuade himself to use the White Tattoo of Magic just because he wanted to be in a safe distance. Even more, he was not guaranteed to hit every single shot.

'Alright, here goes. Activate the Red Tattoo of Attack!' He silently declared.

The skill activated, and red streak appeared on his palms to his shoulders like a snake climbing up a tree.

Then he bolted to the lone Drop Dew Saper.

Catching it off guard, Aiden landing a hit with his small fist.

The Drop Dew Saper landed on the ground with a thump. And before it could get back up, he hit it some more while avoiding its arm.

Since the Red Tattoo of Attack gave him +5 in attack, he was already as strong as someone playing for half a month.

After less than a minute, he managed to kill it with ease and less time, unlike the first one. A healing dew dropped, and he quickly consumed it.

It was a regular healing dew, but that was to be expected.

Drop Dew Saper killed!

IE:

Gained 12 experience

===

A message popped up, saying that he had gain experience from killing the monster.

"Inquisition Experience, or IE… I forgot that I needed to activate a skill before I get experience points..."

Aiden left the shriveled corpse alone and went to look for another one.

He now had a total of 3 health and felt he was in a better situation.

Then from the corner of his eyes, he saw two Drop Dew Sapers together. He was planning on hunting one by one, but since these two had their back turn, it was an easy sneak attack.

Without getting noticed, he shoved one of them on the ground, and he punched the other one on the back of its head.

He had to be careful not to get hit.

Since his total attack was six and hitting the head of Drop Dew Saper increase the damage dealt, it would take around 3 to 4 punches before it would die.

It would be quicker it Aiden pierced its eyes and attack its inside since it will deal more damage, but it made it easier for them to counterattack.

Before the other one could hit him, he pummeled the Drop Dew Saper like a watermelon being crack opened until its red flesh splattered all over the ground.

But instead of red coming out, it was white green.

However, before he could land the final hit, Aiden had to avoid the other monster coming from behind.

The one he shoved down was already back up and attacked him.

The other one had its face collapsed inside due to Aiden vicious punches, but it was still able to get up.

In the game of Verse-Way, no matter how bad the damage was done to either players or monsters, as long as they still have at least 1 point of health left, they were still capable of doing harm.

There was a time where a player had his neck cut in half from another player, but the injured player was still able to use a skill before he died, although he died a second later due to immense bleeding damage.

'Look like bleed damage does not apply to them or else it would be dead by now.' He felt regret not killing the other one as quickly as he should. He was carefully watching its arm while hitting it and the other Drop Dew Saper beside him.
