Yoshuu movements with the ceremonial blade were so quick that the guard who was standing next to him, who was distracted by the screams of the 'wailing banshee' did not see when Yoshuu moved nor did he notice that the blade had passed across his throat.
Like a cheetah, Yoshuu lunged forward towards the shogun.
His movements were so quick that it took some time for all the guards to make a move to stop him. Yoshuu called forth strength from the depths within himself and made his muscles propel him forward.
The archers, now aware of what was taking place, began to draw back their arrows but it was too late.
The gap between him and the fat shogun had been closed and the shogun had been slow to react.
The only one who could have saved the shogun stood upright and did not call upon the mystical energies to protect the shogun.
The sorcerer had noticed everything that was taking place and stood still as Yoshuu beelined towards the shogun.
With Yoshuu within arms length of the shogun, the shogun turned to look at the sorcerer who began to exhibit a smile on his face.
The fat face of the shogun had a look of despair that said, protect me but the sorcerer in his mind said… No! I don't think I will.
Yoshuu lunged at the shogun and stabbed the dagger in his back and as the shogun turned to face Yoshuu, Yoshuu passed the blade across the stomach of the shogun cutting from left to right.
The shogun fell to the floor with everyone in the hall shocked at what had just taken place.
As the shogun's body fell to the ground, three arrows entered the back of Yoshuu sending him forward towards the ground.
As Yoshuu's face hitted the jaded tile on the floor of the room, he regretted not falling the other way that his eyes may gaze upon his once to be, Emrica for one last time.
As Yoshuu's eyes closed and his last breath began to expire, he cursed the hand that fate had dealt him and at death for stopping him.
As if death heard him, he saw a ghostly individual with a ghostly aura, standing some distance before him, close to the sorcerer.
Then there was darkness…
