The shogun wives ran to the shogun who fell backwards on the ground, while the commander ran to Yoshuu to check and see if he was dead.
The sorcerer now walked slowly towards the shogun who was barely conscious.
Stooping low to his ear, the sorcerer whispered to him "taking advantage of a situation when the opportunity arises is what separates the boys from the men!"
These were the last words that the shogun heard before he died.
Yoshuu was lifeless when the commander checked his body and he was declared dead by the commander which brought a smile to the sorcerer's face.
Turning to the sorcerer, the commander asked "Isn't the shogun going to recover? I thought he was supposed to be immortal?"
Immortality is one thing, however being invulnerable is another, the sorcerer answered. He isn't immune to pain or damage he continued. He also isn't immune to.. Death, laugh the sorcerer.
A look of dread suddenly came upon the faces of the wives as the reality of the shogun being dead, set in. The commander confirmed that the shogun too was also dead.
In the mist of the commotion Emrica, seeing the lifeless body of Yoshuu on the ground, she quickly rose to her feet and ran towards the dagger that had flown out of Yoshuu's hand and onto the ground.
As she began to run, her body froze and stood still before she could make it. A magical, invisible hand grabbed her and pulled her towards the sorcerer. The sorcerer pulled his hand towards himself and this caused the floating Emrica to be magically drawn towards him.
Everyone was surprised to see the sorcerer's quick reaction to Emrica moving for the dagger.
Going to commit suicide, he asked. The sorcerer then pulled the dagger to him with magic, leaving it suspended before him.
Her body felt stiff and she was unable to move as his magic held her in a tight embrace. The sorcerer touched her face and was amazed at her smooth skin. Then pulling out a vial from his robe with a yellow liquid, he forced her mouth open and poured the yellow contents down her throat.
When the contents of the vial were finished, he set her down gently, at a distance from him and moved the dagger before her saying, do as you please.
Without hesitation she picked up the dagger from the ground, in front of everyone and said "I am going to meet my betrothed in heaven", and passed it across her throat. Her thoughts were on Yoshuu as she fell backwards on the floor.
Screams were heard from the wives as they ran out of the hall by what they had just witnessed. This caused the outside guards to run into the hall and see the dead shogun on the floor.
Many were confused by the turn of events that were taking place in the main hall of the kingdom.
"Is the shogun really dead, someone asked the commander?"
Before the commander could answer, a shadow caught his eye and he turned to see Emrica getting back up from the floor. The wound to her neck had healed right before their eyes.
The commander quickly remembered that the color of the previous liquid that the shogun drank was blue and the one she drank was yellow. Drawing his sword, he stated "You have deceived the shogun.
The elixir she drank was different to the one that the shogun drank!" You will die for your treachery, he shouted.
The sorcerer is a traitor to the shogun, he shouted to all military members. The samurai's drew their swords and archers readied their bows but the magic users were told not to react, by Fabian, The sorcerer.
We must avenge the death of the shogun, the commander iterated.
