The End Of Act One

Fabian Pendragon, the warlock looked around at the destruction done at the place where the castle once stood. All that remained was a crater with debris circling outside the center of the blast. This had been the first time that he had used that spell and it seemed to have been very successful.

He dusted off his clothes as he looked in the direction of each of his infantry from the magic division. With each one that he turned his attention too, each shook their head indicating that they did not see, the final prize that Fabian was looking for.

It was unlikely that she had died in the blast so it seems that she had escape immediately after the blast. The magical effects from the box as well as the ability from the elixir had certainly ensure that she lived to tell this tale.

One out of his nine men, walked down into the crater and asked Fabian, " shall we gather some horses and go to her fathers home. It's possible that she would be heading there!"

No need, assured Fabian. She and I.... have plenty of time to play this cat and mouse game. I will give her a head start!

There are other things to attend too, he continued as he began his climb out of the crater and in the direction of a nearby village. His nine followers and bodyguards walking close behind him.

Elsewhere....

After hearing a loud knock on his front door, Yamato opened it to see a dusty and tired Emrica holding up what appears to be the lifeless body of his son Yoshuu. One blood soaked arrow protruded through his chest from his back where it entered.

Tears filled his eyes as it laid upon his dead son as he helped Emrica drag the body inside. Yamato shut the front door and began the painful process of attending to the body of his dead son as Emrica collapsed on the couch due to exhaustion.

"You will get a proper burial, my son" Yamato thought to himself as he began to clean the body.

"I am sorry that I did not have the strength or courage to go with you, to face the shogun!"
