The Fall Into Darkness

The soul of Yoshuu manifested itself in an open structure of ancient Roman design. Eight large pillars surrounding an open space where a cloaked figure sat behind a concrete desk.

Yoshuu walked up to the figure who had a large book before him where a quill stood upright on the large book. With a small gesture of its hand, the figure pointed to a rock, which was on one side of a balanced golden scale, which sat at the edge of the desk.

'Even with the rock on the scale, it was still perfectly balanced as if the rock weighed nothing.'

Before Yoshuu knew what was happening, a red string came out from the left side of Yoshuu's chest and connected to the stone on the left side of the scale. Then a white light came down upon the right side of the scale along with a small feather.

As the feather landed on the scale, the side with the rock got heavier and leaned more to the left side. The rock did not seem to weigh much more than the feather, but it weighed more either way.

Turning to the archway at the left side of the structure, the robed figure pointed for Yoshuu to head that way.

Yoshuu, looked at the right side archway first, which had no footing after a few feet, then at the left side which had the beginning of a step which descended downwards. Walking to the left archway, he began his descent into the fog below, which was a stairway that led to the bottom of the mountain and the beginning of a pier.

Looking from left to right, all Yoshuu could see was darkness on either side. The only light present was the light given off by lanterns that hung from poles on either side of the walkway. This walkway led to the end of the pier where a cloaked individual stood on a ferry.

There were four cleats on the pier, pointing in opposite direction however their was only one ferry present at the pier with the cloak figure. This cloak figure, stood on a ferry which was attached to the first cleat on the pier.

When Yoshuu walked onto the ferry and sat down, the rope that was attached to the ferry disappeared and the ferry began to drift away from the pier until the pier disappeared into the darkness.

After a while, without any hint or sound, the ferry and the cloak individual disappeared and Yoshuu began falling over what he deemed to be a precipice. He was unable to see anything after this point as he fell downwards.

Darkness enveloped this fallen soul that had entered a damning place of no return. The soul of this young man spirals downwards in what seemed like a bottomless pit with darkness on both ends. The sound of nothingness whistled in his ears like a screaming cat as he continued downwards.

He was a soul now lost within this dark abyss, doomed for all eternity in a place of no return.

After what seemed like an eternity, light was now seen at the downward end of a tunnel. Though the light was present, it did not illuminate the tunnel nor did it bring any warmth to the soul. All it brought was more discomfort as it seemed to not be getting closer or being within range.

Maybe the light was there to inspire hope and then have it violently snatched away as it never came within reach.

After what seemed like another time frame of eternity, the soul exited the tunnel and plunged downwards into what looked like liquid fire which had countless others burning and screaming in agony within it. Heat was finally felt as the soul fell into the blazing liquid fire.

A sound was made as he plunged into the liquid fire and it was then that his soul heard the screams of agony of his own as he joined the countless souls that burned along with him.

The liquid gave no ease to its fiery wrath upon his soul as death was far removed from this place, it seemed.

In the liquid flames, others reached, clawed and grabbed out to anything that they could, however this activity made them sink deeper and deeper in the depths of the lake of fire.

The soul that was no longer the human embodiment of Yoshuu closed his eyes and longed for death as the fire continued its onslaught at him for what seemed as an eternity in a place that can only be described as Hell.
