Whoever dares to lay a hand on my women deserved to die.

"Could you be clearer?" Chen Mu Sheng asked, clearly annoyed.

"Here, I'll show you." Go Jichen pulled a file from one of the desk's drawers. He placed it on the coffee table and sat on the couch with Chen Mu Sheng. "Your girl is awesome. Seriously, if you let her go this time, then I'll chase her myself."

Chen Mu SHeng's eyes turned darker. He pulled a pen from the pen stand and stabbed down at Go Jichen's leg, who only managed to move it due to his quick reflexes. The pen pierced into the couch.

"What the hell!?" Go Jichen shouted.

"Whoever tries to lay a hand on my woman deserves much worse."

"Dude, I was just kidding."

"Just the thought is enough reason. Now hurry up and tell me about her."

Go Juchen sighed and shared what he knew. "She's been adopted by San Renji and San Sara. And apparently, she arrived in our country three years ago instead of two." He grabbed the file from the table. "In here I have her medical reports. It took me a lot of effort to get them. She stayed at a mental institution to deal with some trauma.

"Sometime after recovering, she made her first appearance as Renji's daughter. It was a party at Country X, and she accompanied her adoptive parents. Her presence caused some commotion, and various families tried to introduce their sons to her.

"As for her skills, she learned a lot with the San family. Fighting, business, first-aid, coding. I even suspect that she has a hand on the underworld, but I couldn't find any concrete evidence." Go Jichen closed the file. "So in a sense, she's a lot like you."

"And what about before she met with the San family?"

Go Jichen shrugged. "Not much I can tell you. Apparently, she ran away from home, and it has something to do with her mother. I couldn't find anything more than that."

Chen Mu Sheng nodded. "Keep looking into her," he said and left the study. Yan Shu had become an even bigger mystery than he thought. Regardless, he planned to unravel it.

"How did the dinner go?" Song Yun asked before stuffing a spoonful of oat rice in her mouth.

"It went well," Yan Shu answered without giving further details.

"Did he seem offended for us not being there?"

"No, he was very understanding, and even wished Kim's mother well. Now stop talking and hurry up so that we don't get late." 

They left for college soon after that. Next week, they would start their exams.
