Chapter 5: Information

Unlike what one may assume, Evelyn did not come from an extremely wealthy family. She definitely was not poor, but she wasn't someone people could say was super rich either. Her family bordered on being upper middle class to barely scraping beneath the lower end of wealthy people. Since Ivy was Evelyn's sister, it was quite obvious that she shared the same economic situation.

Still, the sisters did not receive equal treatment. Ivy has always been good with people, knowing how to manipulate others into getting what she wanted. On the other hand, Evelyn had always been quieter and was willing to let her sister have more than her. Evelyn had once doted on her sister, but now that was all in the past. She was going to fight for what rightfully belonged to her.

The two sisters' parents favored Ivy because of her way with people. Since both their mother and father were not around often because they were busy at work, they naturally found the daughter who would act cute and loving to be more appealing in contrast to Evelyn's calm demeanor.

However, even with the amount of money Ivy received from their parents, there was no way she could afford sending millions of dollars to an unknown person every few weeks. Especially with Ivy's love for expensive, designer goods. Evelyn knew that Ivy must have been involved in some shady business for her to be able to accumulate so much money.

There was no way Evelyn was going to let go of this information. Evelyn continued hacking into Ivy's information, trying to find out what Ivy was doing to get so much money.

"Hah," Evelyn snickered. "How fitting." Evelyn had found records of Ivy contacting wealthy old businessmen and meeting them at night clubs in the red light district. "So she sold her body for money, yet she acts so innocent," Evelyn muttered. She wondered what Kai would have thought if he knew what Ivy had done in her past life. "Serves him right," Evelyn whispered, a cold light flashing across her eyes and lips curled up into an almost demonic smile.
