Chapter 6: Revenge

Evelyn wanted to laugh out loud. She found it incredibly ironic that Kai abandoned her for Ivy who sold her body for money. 'I guess this is karma,' Ivy thought. She would have never imagined that this would be the case. Although Ivy was cruel and evil, Evelyn didn't think that she would give up her dignity for the sake of some petty cash. Ivy was greedier than Evelyn even imagined.

However, this trait could be used to Evelyn's advantage. Evelyn was going to use Ivy's greed against her. For someone who would do anything for money, losing their wealth would be more painful than any other form of torture.

Evelyn's fingers flew across the keyboard as she dug up information on every man Ivy met with. 'Hmm, this is interesting,' Evelyn thought. There was one guy that Ivy met on an almost regular basis. 'He must be the one backing her.' Now that she had found her target, all that was left was to drag Ivy down with him.

Evelyn glanced at the clock and noticed that it was almost time for the cafe to close. She packed up her stuff and walked out the door. The night air felt cool against her skin. Evelyn took a deep breath and smiled. She was incredibly grateful to the world for giving her a second chance to get revenge for all her past sufferings.

Night was taking a late night walk when he spotted Evelyn standing near the cafe. He smiled when he saw the blissful look on Evelyn's face. But then he frowned slightly. It was dangerous for a girl to be walking around at night alone, especially since there was an increase in sexual harassment crimes recently.

Evelyn wasn't paying attention to her surroundings, so she was surprised when she noticed a tall, handsome guy standing near her. "Can I help you?" Evelyn asked cautiously. She found the guy to be slightly familiar, as though she had seen him somewhere before.

"Umm, it's dangerous for a girl to walk around alone at night," Night mumbled. Thank goodness it was dark, so Evelyn couldn't see his ears flushing red. He was worried that Evelyn might take his good intentions the wrong way.
