Chapter 5: Spirits Awakened

After awakening his spirit, ying prepared himself and took the test on his spirit level. The result certainly caught everyone off guard. Innate full spirit power was publicly known as the best result one could get, one that is extremely rare to the point of only 5 people being known to awaken to such a level at this time. Yet the indications of the test showed a number past that, one equal to the grandmasters current rank! The 20th!

The grandmaster remained in a shocked state, 'impossible! That's not possible! His spirit isn't the seraphim' he thought repeatedly, to him who has studied how the spirit world worked for almost his entire life, it was like showing a beast expert a supposed extinct beast for more than centuries.

Even if it was originally an impossibility, he was easily able to accept such a result, the desire to research and understand grew even stronger. It was better such result happened to him as they opened many doors to the world and made him feel so much younger.

Koto and Tian were quicker in understanding, they knew although ying had the weakest body among them physically, he had a much greater Ki space then Tian would even dream of, capable of absorbing Ki even faster than the rest and at greater amounts. When it came to Ki numbers, he was truly one of the best of his generation.

Unfortunately, he was born with a body too weak for the talent he had, presenting him in his current situation, without anyone having time to give congratulations, he fainted of exhaustion, clearing holding more Ki than his body could handle.

The Xiao quickly reacted and caught him before he could fall entirely, checking for his well being, he realized ling was just fine, and he would wake up soon enough. He had just passed out from exhaustion, nothing dangerous formed.

" I'll go take him to his bed, Koto, you and Tian wait a bit, i'll be back to finish this spirit awakening session" Xiao said, getting up with Ling's light body and headed off to Ling's room.

"Aghhh!" Koto pressed his fingers together, annoyed with the situation. He did not enjoy seeing his brother in such a weak state, and he not being able to help.

Tian looked at his brother and let go of his own worries to comfort his future king, " soon " he said.

Just that one word meant a lot to Koto, who nodded in response. Soon, they will be truly strong. Soon they will be able to travel the world. Soon they will be able to accomplish their dreams. Soon they will be able to find treasures to help their master with his spiritual problems. Soon they will find treasures to truly fix the cause of their younger brothers weakness.. Soon.. soon.

Koto nodded again, discarding the thought for a more brighter one " hey, do you have any clues about your spirit?" he asked Tian, wishing to know more of the spirits and how they will adjust their growth path.

"Mhm" said Tian, confirming he gained more information about his spirit during the time Ling was awakening. " My first spirit is a mixed of beast and tool spirits, although it would make more sense to say its a tool spirit." he said, while summoning only the spear covered in white and blue.

" My spirit represents the heavenly ice dragon, one who reigned over the world of blizzards. When this sacred beast had passed, His spirit was used to forge this spear, allowing his spirit to continue living on. Something was released into my mind too brother, when i summoned this spear.." He continued somenly

Koto, intrigued and genuinely curious ask "what?" with his eyes staring at the beautiful spear with weird exotic designs.

" a cultivation method, a complete one at that, one supposedbly capable of becoming a so called supreme god" Tian answered, fully trusting Koto with any information. To him, if he couldn't trust this brother of his, he shouldn't even be able to trust himself, in fact he trusted Koto more than he trusted himself.

"Supreme god?" neither of them knew what such a thing meant. It wasn't something they have ever heard of. Before they could continue with their discussion Xiao entered the room and coughed, looking at koto, " let's get started, shall we?" he asked.

Koto immediately pressed his fingers together and tian rubbed his index finger with his thumb, each one standing a little straighter, " yes, of course!" both of them said. Tian backing off a little to give Koto space as he walked to where the grandmaster would be with the orb.

Xiao walked up to the orb, " you know what do right?" he questioned Koto, already having his answer in mind.

"Yes" putting his hands on the orb, Koto closed his eyes in pepperation to finally start the awakening of his spirit. To finally start as his journey as a spirit master.

Xiao braced himself for even more surprises, this was Koto they were talking about, the once in a life time genuis, the one who owns the jade pavllion at the age of 4 after only just discovering about herbs and their properties. Koto was so finely intoned with the world of Ki, the grandmaster was almost 100% sure he would have at least a spritual starting level of 10.

With such a level of course came with an equally strong spirit. One fit for cultivation, one fit for greatness like the rest of his brothers.

True to the sentiments of the people in the room, Koto's awakening was different. A holy golden light came out of his chest, engulfing Koto's entire body, turning him pure gold. Bright feathered white wings sprouted on his back and just above his head a crown of indescribable designs.

The Wings and Crown released their own lights, ones bright enough to affect the already present golden light. Above the crown, appraitations of all kinds of weapons, treasures, entities, and unrecognizable "things" took shape, with each one fading, a new one replaced them, forming them uncountable amounts.

"Are those spirits!!!???" both Tian and Xiao yelled in utter astonishment. Two spirit as always been the max since ancient time, and even then, if had Koto had 3 or 4 Spirits they'd understand and accept it. Yet, If what they were seeing was as how they think it is, Koto might as well have had infinite amounts of spirits! It was truly unfathomable for someone to have so many when there was only 5 people with more than 1 spirit!

Koto's predicament did not wait for the spectators, Out of his body came his spiritual powers revealing his current level

5, 6, 10, 15, 20, 28, 30 , … It kept rising to the point where not only could the grandmaster not read his level, they couldn't even feel its presence, almost as if it had transcended their being. Suddenly, the trinity lights fade, and they could once again feel Koto's spiritual level.. 30, 28, 20, 15, 12, 10.

At first, they had assumed it was Koto losing his level but behind him appeared a white ring slowly rotating.. They could only assume his previous levels were used to create it which itself was highly unusual and should have never happened. Even the reincarnated spirit beast could not do such a thing.

The pure white wings still present, while the crown was replaced 14 golden rings with different never seen before symbols on them. Each one slowly entered the ring, creating 3 sections. The innermost contained a new symbol, the middle was rotating with 3 symbolic beast, the outermost 11 symbolic beast. The ring itself was slowly changing colors, white..yellow, purple, black, red, orange, gold.. And even more colors.

If any of the two were from earth, they would recognize the middle symbol as that of the Olympians, and each beast represented the 12 Olympians along with Hades and Hestia.

Such a sight left Xiao and Tian completely speechless yet full of questions such as " so does he have that many spirits??" saving their questions for a more appropriate time, they kept quiet and watched on.

After forming the never seen before ring, the wings retracted and Koto appeared back to his normal self. That is if you counted the solid 'ki' in front of him forming a 'sword'. If the original Koto was here, he would recognize that as the weapon he created himself. The weapon of his choice, his symbol. He would furthermore be able to tell that the universe itself had improved it by dimensions, when it was helping create this current Koto. The current "sword" was just special 'ki' transcending even the materials he used, which allowed the weapon to change its shape to the owners will even empowering the owner with access to all the elements.

Koto reaching out to the 'sword's' handle, it stayed true to its current shape although electrical surges and sparks could be seen out of the 'sword' it was apparent Koto liked the element of lightning.

Turning around, Koto swung the sword in his hand lightly for testing ' perfect' he thought to himself.

Looking at Koto swinging his spirit weapon, Xiao couldn't help but get a little bit mad ' how dare this brat have fun when he has just left us the biggest mystery of our life!" were his agitated thoughts "Hey! Koto! Immediately explain what just happened!" Xiao demanded, Tian nodding his head rather aggressively in agreement.

"Heehaheh" Koto chucked a little bit seeing the reactions, this gained the ire of Xiao who promptly glared Koto into explaining himself.

An imaginary sweat dropped of Koto's head," ok, ok i'll explainnn" he said with his hands up defensively, de-summoning the weapon.

"My first spirit is a fusion of a beast spirit called ' The Transcendent Arch-Angel ' and a mutated spirit call ' Campione ', the spirit ' Campione ' seemed to be supplying the other spirit with spirit rings, i'm not sure of their age but just this first one has given me more than 7 spirit abilities, I sense more abilities that i need to unlock."

Summoning the weapon, this time as a staff of lightning " as for this, I don't know. All I know is the fact that i can change its shape and it gives me control over the elements to a degree yet unknown to me" Koto explained. " although I sense more spirit like things inside" muttered Koto, not too sure himself.

"HUUUUUUUUUUUUH??" such a thing, Xiao did not know what to think of it, " ok, ok" he repeated himself to gather time for himself. Remaining silent to be able to form actual thoughts, Xiao fell into deep thoughts right there and then.

Tian on the other hand eagerly rushed to his brother for a bear hug. Usually not being the one to start physical contact, you could tell how happy and excited Tian was. There were no specs of jealousy in his heart, only pure joy. So what if compared to him, his brother was born with The diamond spoon, he did not care. As long as it was good for his brother, he was content.

Koto rapidly slam his fist unto Tian's chest, " you're suffocating me brooootha-r" The bone crushing huge not allowing him to properly speak, Tian noticing immediately let go, dropping Koto to the ground, laughing cheekily he apologies, although Koto could not tell its sincerity

" Koto" Xiao voice attracted both boys attention to him. Having their attention Xiao continued, " you must not ever show your first spirit to any outsiders! The less people know, the better!" his expression grave, dark glints appear in his eyes " even if you have to silence people to keep it secret, do you understand?"

This was the first time his master had been this serious with Koto " of course master" he agreed right away.

Wanting to make himself even more clear, xiao continued, "you know how spirit masters treat reincarnated beast Koto, I personally don't care if you are one, or if you aren't completely human, you are my first disciple, the one who is like a son to me, do you understand?" Xiao eyes became extremely distant, he had never told Koto how he really felt until now.

"I don't want it to happen again, I don't want to lose you too" he said with hints of bitterness and helplessness. " I am truly a useless master, if anything were to happen there'd be nothing I can do, so please Koto.."

Koto stood up, taller than ever. His back straight, his piercing icy blue eyes looked at Xiao with unknown confidence. Pointing his thumb to his chest Koto grinned

" I won't die nor will I ever lose, have you forgotten my promise? …. pops"
