Swozhashi Sword (2)

Mikael swung his sword and exerted a small portion of his magic power in it. The sword's red blade was covered with black fire, that looks so beautiful yet deadly. With one swing, the sturdy rock altar was sliced into two and the scabbard that was hidden in the rock altar was taken out.

Mikael put the sword in the scabbard and stored it in his spatial ring. Though no one in Lowerland knows the origin of his sword but if one of Highlanders saw his sword. He/she will be able to recognize it and may report to Naji.

Though some treasures can be owned by its finder once found but his sword was different. As enchanted by Layla before she disappeared together with his dead body at that time. She had the sword hidden far away from Highland and passed her will to one of her loyal followers.

When her followers escaped from Naji's pursuits, they disguised themselves and travelled all the way to Lowerland. As guided by Layla's will, they were able to find the sword and for many years they built this small altar and wrote those ancient texts.

One of those written was: 'The Swozhashi sword can only be pulled out by its owner.'

That's why he had to be careful not letting Naji know his whereabouts through his sword. She may not know Layla's last will but as his sword was known for killing whoever touches him aside from him. Naji may connect his previous identity and current one by using the sword.

Mikael erased all the texts just in case someone accidentally discovered the place.

Thinking about what Layla did for him before, he can't help but smile.

"I had to get back as soon as possible, she might miss me already." he happily said.

(An hour after Mikael left)

Lila finished consolidating her cultivation, she opened her eyes and found out that Mikael's not around.

"Where did that guy go? Oh well, maybe he already went and found what he was looking for. That's also good for me, I can go back now to the Capital before I go home."

She patted her bottom when she stood up and glanced at the Divine tree. It still releases a heavenly aura but not the same as before. There were leaves that started to fall from the tree. She's observing it when she hears voices in her mind about killing her.

Her eyes turned sharp as there's a glint in her eyes. Lila did not move yet, she maintained her calmness not letting her enemy know that she already discovered them.

"Someone's thinking of killing me. Hmmp! I am not the same weak Lila as before."

An arrow was released, aiming her, an orange glow emanating around it. Lila made a casual move tilting her head slightly, though it looks like a simple action but she actually dodge the shot. The arrow passed her and struck the tree trunk instead of her.

The shooter was shocked when his attack was dodge simply by a casual move. He made sure that he aimed carefully at the fatal spot. Lila turned her gaze at the arrow that was struck at the tree. The part of the Divine tree that was struck was turning into black indicating that it was poisoned.

'Oh. There's poison on the arrow too. That's a good move but too bad it did not reach me.'

She vanished from her spot and flew fast away from the islet to the other side where the group of men were located. They were not able to cross the water yet as they realized that there's another person on the Islet near the Red Pear Divine tree. They only saw the back of the person as Ga-ir ordered to shoot him, he thought that it's the person who killed the One-Horned Demon Bear beast and he was afraid that that person would harvest the fruit that he wanted.

And his thought was right, Lila and Mikael already harvested and consumed the fruit. They were too late and the Divine tree was already slowly wilting.

Ga-ir and the rest were not able to notice any changes yet as they only had a small knowledge about the Divine tree.

Due to her sudden action, they were not able to see her face, even her shadow, when she flew from the Islet. Alarmed, the group took out their weapons and they ready themselves from the sudden assault.

"What are you guys doing?" she asked calmly.

The group of men rattled when they heard a voice at their backs, they turned around and saw a 14-15 year old young man smiling at them.

"Who are you?" Ga-ir asked.
