Celine Lebrun's POV
If you guys did not know yet, I have been planning with Lucia to get out of this place. I think the event last night confirmed I will get out of here as soon as possible that I can so that Simone would not come to my room unannounced again.
My eyes were bloodshot as I was crying and my face was puffed from it as well. So much for not showing my real emotion on the sleeves.
Lucia came by to tell me that the plan was on the go for tomorrow before she went away to see her visitor. I never knew that she had a brother and it was not something that I don't know about someone. Blame the facility without the internet or technology.
I was trying to keep a stoic face as I was walking down with the guard on my side for my usual treatment. Last night has been hellish but I refused to let it get to me. I have other matters to worry about.
Like getting out of this island.
I walked inside the room as Simone was looking at his notes. He was not greeting like he always did. It was unnerving as the guard took off my handcuffs and I was sitting in front of him, crossing my arms in front of my chest.
He did not look at me until the guard has left and he dropped his notes onto the table.
"So, last night was a success, I hope?" He asked me if we were discussing the weather. I scoffed at him before he arched his eyebrow at me.
"Are you being serious right now?" I asked him before he nodded at me. Okay, that's it, he drew the final straw on me.
"You think it was a success but do you know what I think? You were a conniving little bastard that took me to his bed so that he will not feel bad at himself. You used me, Simone," I said as I was gritting my teeth. He stared at me before he tilted his head.
"And you're using me as well. Let's not forget that you were screaming my name last night," he said as he was trying to control his anger as well. Well, fuck that!
"So what? I am a criminal and if you think that you can bed a criminal and a peachy life after that, you're wrong. You're dead wrong," I said as I was getting up from the chair.
"What are you doing?" Alert was in his beautiful eyes. God damnit. I have to stop thinking that he was beautiful or I might be going insane.
"You want the real me? You wanted to know if the treatment was working. Well, tough luck buddy! Because I am not cured, at all! And besides, I was not crazy, to begin with!" I said before I was throwing my chair at him. He dodged it before I took his notes from the desk.
"You think you know everything about me, well, you're not," I said before two guards were holding me down. Simone was taking the notes as he was staring at me murderously. I think I have made him mad with me.
Good! Served him right.
"Take her away and remember to lock her door afterward," he instructed the guards before I was trashing onto them.
"This is not over yet! Do you hear me? Not over yet, Laverte!" I shouted before I was being dragged to my room.
So much for the treatment was a success.
Simone Laverte's POV
I was rubbing my face as I was trying to control my anger. Bloody hell! Fuck! Celine was never a crazy person, to begin with, and when I did have sex with her, she was angry, broken and maybe trying to distance herself from me as I know how she loved to get away from her problems.
Well, not anymore.
She thinks she has everything that she needs to make that escape. She thinks that I did not know. She was throwing her anger at the moment so that she thinks she will get away from me?
Well, I like her to think again.
I was having my plan now that I have found the person that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. She might be fierce and wild but I think it was because of the surrounding she was in and the environment that was restricting her to be the best version of herself.
I have to do something and I think only Sean can give me that answer.
I went to the conference room and Sean was at his desk. He was so focused on something that I feared I was disturbing him for no reason.
"Sean?" I asked as I was standing in front of his desk. He looked up and his eyes softened to see that it was only me. Why was he so tensed?
"Ah, Simone. What can I help you with?" He said before he closed his laptop and focused on me entirely. Now I'm nervous because my idol was listening to me and I don't want to make a fool out of myself.
"Well, I was wondering if I could get Celine out of the facility for a while?" I asked him before he arched his eyebrow at me.
"You mean off the island?"
"No, no. I mean like out to the city or something. She seems stressed and I think it was because we were in the middle of nowhere. The patient needs to see what life can offer for them and I think it will inspire them to get better," I said as I was trying to convince him.
Please let him believe.
Please let him believe.
Please let him believe!
He was scratching his now clean-shaved jaws. I see that he cleaned himself up well. I wonder if his patient has anything to do with it. Sean, even he denied it, did fuck with Lucia.
And I think he got attached as much as I did as well.
We were obviously in the vines of two villainesses that have us wrapped around their fingers. No wonder the other doctors don't want to get involved. It was a tragedy but also can be a salvation for them and us.
"Well, I think that would be a great idea. I might as well hit down the port to talk with the captain about baggage," he said as he looked at me.
"Baggage?" I asked him.
"Simone, if you wanted your patient to cure, you need it as well," he said as he nodded at me. I was looking at the direction of my desk and there was an envelope that was for me.
"Well, I think about it,"
"Well, think fast because it will be sold out tomorrow," Sean said as he patted on my back.
"if you change your mind, just ask for the captain and tell him I sent you for baggage as well," he said before he went out of the room. I think he might be going down to the port. I shrugged before I went to look at the envelope. It was from my lawyer.
Dear Simone,
You have been summoned for the yearly board meeting and this time, the investors wanted you gone, immediately. I suggest that you can be remained seated as the board member if you were to find a girl and marry her.
Please think it over, -Addington.
I sighed before I took Sean's advice. Maybe I need baggage as well and it has Celine's name on it.
