Chapter 10: The Law

Sheila Belmonte's POV

After I know that we were not married yet but the law, I urged Noah to fill in the registration for marriage. I don't know where we were but Noah said that we're still in Europe. I just don't know my exact location right now.

Aaron did not turn up from the explosion of the laboratory and the police have been sniffing around the forest and the village that we were renting the room. They asked all the tourists that might be lurking in the shadow and the locals that might have something against those facilities.

It seems that the facility belonged to Monti Covaci. No doubt why I was being prisoned there. I was the experiment 'gone wrong' in his list before Noah and Aaron penetrated the lab. I was thankful that my fiancé felt that he has to take care of me.

And the sex that we have in the cell when I first saw him. That was intense.

I was fanning myself when I was remembering that moment while I was outside the door. We decided to have a small, private wedding. Noah has acquired the witnesses that were necessary for the law to recognize this wedding. I was standing in my sundress that Noah acquired in town.

The door opened and I was looking at my handsome man at the end of the altar. His black hair. His cobalt blue eyes. I was in a daze as I was gliding down the aisle with a small bouquet in my hands.

When I reached the end of the altar, Noah took my hand and he was smirking at me while I was looking into his eyes.

"You look gorgeous, my love," he whispered to me before the priest was clearing his throat. I know what you were thinking, why would blue blood be having a ceremony in a church? My answer to that?

Go fuck yourself.

I was standing in front of my soulmates and nothing can ever change that. I was smiling happily when Noah was holding my hands as he was waiting for the priest to ask the question that we were dread to hear.

"Do you, Noah Kovacs, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, in poor and rich, in health and sickness, in good and bad, until the death do you apart?" He asked as I was staring at Noah. He smiled.

"I DO,"

"And do you, Sheila Belmonte, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, in poor and rich, in health and sickness, in good and bad, until the death do you apart?" The priest asked me that question as I was staring at Noah's handsome, wicked face.

"I DO,"

"By the power that was vested in me by the government of Cyprus, I pronounced you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," he said as Noah was pulling me closer. We kissed as he was licking my lower lips before I was opening my mouth to him.

He deepened the kiss as he was pulling me closer to his hard body. I don' t think that people would mind before I was gripping his neck that the priest was clearing his throat. We broke the kiss as I looked at Noah, unaffected by the kiss than me.

"Thank you, father," he said before he took the marriage certificate and we were off from the end of the church. We were smiling before the door burst opened and I saw the most dreadful people right now.

It was my parents.

Noah Kovacs' POV

"About time you to show up," I said to my in-laws as I was dragging Sheila to meet her parents. It seems to me that she did not want to be here and talk to them. I could not blame them. They did not know that uncle Monti was a madman.

"Can we have a moment, Noah?" Her father asked me before I was looking at Sheila. She was shaking her head before I was kissing her forehead.

"I will be here. If they tried to harm you, I will protect you," I whispered to her before she sighed.

"Fine, but only because you promised that you will protect me," she said as I was looking at her petite figure, amused.

If I don't know any better, I would say that Sheila was not a threat to her petite body and everything. But I knew better to underestimate her. Then someone was knocking on my mind link. I think Aaron was trying to reach me.

'Aaron?'

'Thank god you answered. I have been trying for days to get in touch with you. Where are you?' He asked me as I was looking at the family.

'I'm in a church near a village that was closed to a forest at the jetty before the lab. Why?' I asked him before he sighed.

'We got a problem,' he said. I furrowed my eyebrows together.

'Problem?'

'That bitch escaped. I turned the other round, she was there, when I turned back, she was gone. God, I'm so stupid!' He shouted in my mind as I was amused by his declaration.

'Not funny, Noah,'

'Sorry, my apologizes then,' I said as I was looking at Sheila who was smiling at her parents now. I think she had heard the news of our departure then. I just hoped that Aaron will be here on time.

'Where are you? The Belmonte is here. We need to get out of this island now before that bitch come knocking on our door,' I said to Aaron who was sighing.

'I know. But I think I might stick around,' he said. I was shaking my head.

'Aaron—'

'No! I will not let her go again. Even we have differences, I know we can make it through. She was not as strong that she was,' Aaron said as he was smirking at that notion. I sighed.

'You know that she can kill you right?' I asked him so that he would not get any ideas.

'She will not hurt me. I know that much,'

'You're so sure of yourself,' I noted before he laughed in his mind.

'Well, I am nothing without that. I need to go now. I think I have to play this game between us more seriously from now on,' he said before I said good luck to him and the mind link was off. I was looking at Sheila who was smiling as she was coming at me.

"Did you hear?" She asked as I was holding her closed to me.

"About what?" I asked her but I already know about the plan.

"We're going home. My parents have been waiting for me to come home since I was missing for 2 months now. I cannot wait to set our new foot to our new house," she said with a twinkle in her eyes. I smirked at her.

"They told you, did they?" I asked Sheila before she was smirking at me.

"it seems to me that you forgot to mention that. That important piece of information," she taunted me as I chuckled at her.

"I was meant it for a surprise,"

"Oh, I was surprised but I will wait until I saw it. I will make my surprise face for you by then," she said as we were walking out of the church to a new destination, home.
